Pete Doherty Out of Hospital, Spotted Hanging Out With Friends

Mystery surrounds rocker Pete Doherty's health after photos of him enjoying the French sun with friends appeared online a day after the singer/songwriter canceled a gig in Nice on Thursday night, July 8 amid reports he had been hospitalized. Nice-Matin reported the Brit was in hospital but new reports suggest he never left Paris, where he was spotted hanging out with friends on Friday, July 9.

According to Le Parisien, Doherty did briefly visit a private clinic in the French capital on Thursday. Doherty's management officially canceled the Nice concert due to medical reasons, but the Babyshambles and Libertines star was well enough to appear at the Festival Terres de Son in Monts on Friday, July 9 - and he's expected to show at the T in the Park festival in Scotland for a scheduled performance on Sunday, July 11.

Nick Jonas Had Fun and Wet Date With 'Les Miserables' Co-Star Lucie Jones

Though in early July Nick Jonas confirmed on his Twitter page that he was not dating his "Les Miserables" co-stars, Lucie Jones and Samantha Barks, the Jonas Brothers star was recently spotted having lots of fun with one of the girls. On Thursday, July 8, Nick and Lucie were snapped enjoying their downtime together at Thorpe Park.

Nick sported blue shirt with white T-shirt underneath, black pants and black sunglasses, while Lucie donned a simple white smock paired with hot pants. The Cosette of the play, which is based on Hugo Victor's 1862 novel, looked lovely with a flower hairpin. Nick and Lucie seemed to be happy in each other's company.

Model Suing 'Couples Retreat' Loses Lawsuit

A bizarre defamation suit against the producers of Vince Vaughn comedy "Couples Retreat" has been thrown out of court in New York. Former model Irina Krupnik claimed a snap of her in a bikini, used by one of the film's characters as a sexual aid, is actually a shot she sold to a picture agency in 2001.

In her suit, filed in March, Krupnik insisted she would never have allowed the "commonplace swimwear ad" to be used as "softcore pornography" - and she claimed the film was ruining her reputation. But NBC Universal bosses maintained they had the rights to use the photo.

Kevin Bacon In Talks for 'First Class' Villain, Edward Norton Not The Hulk in 'Avengers'

Another casting report comes from "X-Men: First Class". According to Deadline Hollywood, Kevin Bacon is offered a role of a villain in the upcoming sci-fi movie, but his character is not known yet. However, the site knows that 20th Century Fox "have to make his deal."

In the meantime, HitFix claims to have learned that Edward Norton will not reprise his role as Dr. Bruce Banner aka The Hulk in "The Avengers". Instead, Marvel wants to hire an unknown for the part, though the depicter of the green giant in 2008 "The Incredible Hulk" has expressed his interest to join the cast ensemble of the superhero movie.

Insurance Company Distancing Themselves From Lady GaGa's Former Producer Lawsuit

Bosses at Lady GaGa's insurance company have filed court documents in New York distancing themselves from the singer's legal battle with a former producer to ensure they aren't liable for damages if she loses the case. Rob Fusari, GaGa's former mentor and ex-boyfriend, is suing the star for $35 million, claiming he helped his former lover come up with her stage name and played a key part in landing her a record deal with Interscope.

Fusari maintains he held a 20 per cent share in his company with GaGa, Team Love Child LLC, and argues she failed to adequately compensate him for his shares in the firm once she gained worldwide recognition. The "Poker Face" hitmaker has hit back with a counter suit, accusing Fusari of taking advantage of her naivety as a wannabe pop star.

Miles Davis' Michael Henderson Sues Snoop Dogg for Illegally Sampling His Song

Miles Davis' legendary bass player Michael Henderson is taking Snoop Dogg to court after accusing the rapper of illegally sampling one of his songs. The "Drop It Like It's Hot" hitmaker is alleged to have used parts of Henderson's "Riding" on the track "Flashbacks", which featured on a 2008 mixtape.

Henderson claims Snoop Dogg went on to unlawfully incorporate his music on another song, titled "Hands on the Wheel", which was allegedly used to boost interest and ticket sales in the rap superstar's West Fest tour in June, 2008. Warzone's members, Goldie Loc, Kam and MC Eiht, have been named in the copyright infringement lawsuit, along with Snoop and his bosses at Universal Records.

Video Premiere: KT Tunstall's 'Push That Knot Away'

The first offer from KT Tunstall's new album "Tiger Suit" has been released. A music video for the lead single "Push That Knot Away" sees a home video compilation of the singer having fun with her mates who include her husband Luke Bullen as well as footage of her live performances.

The third studio album by the 35-year-old musician, "Tiger Suit" is to be released on September 28. Tunstall said the music is "nature techno" because "it's blend of organic instrumentation and electronic, dance-friendly textures." Speaking of the recording process, Tunstall said earlier this year, "I had an amazing three weeks recording in Hansa in Berlin in January and am finishing it all off in London."

Official On-Set Video of 'Green Lantern' Comes Out

ABC 26 recently was given an access to the set of "Green Lantern" in New Orleans, Louisiana and has shared it in an on-set video. While they managed to capture the behind the scenes of the production with director Martin Campbell, the video does not feature the filming involving lead actor Ryan Reynolds.

Instead, ABC 26 reporter had a chance to talk with Ernie Malik from Public Relations for "Green Lantern" who revealed that they chose the city as the filming location due to its friendly tax rate. Additionally, Malik admitted that they needed an airport to be turned into "Ferris Aircraft" and they found Lakefront Airport in Louisiana.

But, as the cash starts tumbling in, Boyle admits she has no idea what she's worth. In a new TV interview with Piers Morgan, the talent show judge who helped Boyle get her big break, the singer says, "I've never asked (my accountants)."

Ray Charles Musical Play Pushed Back to 2011

A new Broadway musical based on the life of late R&B legend Ray Charles has been postponed until 2011. "Unchain My Heart", produced by Charles' longtime collaborator Stuart Benjamin, was expected to begin previews this October, but producers have been forced to push back the launch until spring 2011 due to "logistical reasons".

The play, starring Brandon Victor Dixon as the iconic singer, will now open at New York's Shubert Theater instead of the Barry Theater. Charles, who died in 2004, was played on the big screen by Jamie Foxx, a role that won the star an Oscar.

OneRepublic's Ryan Tedder to Be First-Time Dad in August

Ryan Tedder, the man behind Leona Lewis' "Bleeding Love" and Beyonce Knowles' "Halo" hits, is set to become a first-time father in August. The singer/songwriter and OneRepublic's frontman has revealed his wife Genevieve is a month away from her due date, and he's very excited. He tells People, "I'm going to be a dad for the first time. I'm extremely excited and looking forward to it. We are having a boy. (Genevieve)'s due in about four weeks."

And Tedder has been busy studying parenting books to prepare him for the impending arrival. He adds, "I've done my homework. So hopefully I can handle it." The star will be able to turn to his bandmates for support and guidance - OneRepublic's lead guitarist Zach Filkins and his wife Lindsay recently became parents to little Leighton Zachary.

San Diego Comic Con 2010 unveils the list of panels crowding the second day of the convention which will be held over the course of four days beginning Thursday, July 22. Day Two is filled equally by panels from NBC, CBS and HBO among others.

The highlights of the day would be the "True Blood" panel which will be held in the biggest room at the building, Ballroom 20. Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, and Joe Manganiello have been confirmed attending the panel for a Q&A session but there is no word on the Alexander Skarsgard yet.

Cheryl Cole Moved Out of Intensive Unit Care

British pop star Cheryl Cole has been moved out of a London hospital's intensive care unit as she continues to battle malaria. The Girls Aloud's singer was admitted to University College London Hospital (UCLH) and diagnosed with the potentially deadly disease last weekend after collapsing at a photo shoot. She is believed to have contracted the mosquito-borne illness during a trip to Tanzania in June.

She was treated in the specialist unit for tropical diseases, where her condition was said to be "a lot more serious" than doctors initially thought, but her health has shown signs of improvement and she is no longer thought to be in the danger zone.

Brad Pitt has shown his teeth and 'bitten' "Twilight" heartthrob Robert Pattinson in a poll to find the hottest Hollywood vampire. Pitt's Louis de Pointe du Lac from 1994's "Interview with the Vampire" has earned him the top spot in a new WENN monster list, putting him just ahead of Pattinson by a handful of votes.

Pitt scored 44 per cent of the 1,000-plus votes, just one per cent more than Pattinson, who plays Edward Cullen in the "Twilight" franchise. Kiefer Sutherland came in third for his role as a neck-biting teenage tearaway in "The Lost Boys", ahead of "Dracula" star Gary Oldman and "Blade" 's Wesley Snipes.

After releasing "The Twilight Saga's Eclipse" in late June, Summit Entertainment is gearing up to make the follow up. On Friday, July 9, the studio has announced that they plan to start production for "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part I" and "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" this fall.

The filming will first take place in Baton Rouge, Louisiana, where they will take shots for interior locations. Then, once weather has improved in Vancouver, Canada, the production will move there sometime in the New Year. Bill Condon is on board to helm the two installments.

Charlie Sheen's Court Hearing Postponed Again Until August

Jail-bound actor Charlie Sheen has been granted an extra few weeks of freedom before he has to turn himself into authorities - the next hearing in his assault case has been postponed until August. The "Two and a Half Men" star was originally expected to start a 30-day sentence at Pitkin County Jail in Colorado on June 7, but issues regarding his plea deal prompted officials to stall the case, stemming from a 2009 Christmas Day fight with wife Brooke Mueller.

It was continued to July 12. And now Sheen has learned he will have to wait a little longer before he can start his jail spell - Monday's, July 12 court date has been rescheduled for August 2, according to TMZ.

Dina tells Entertainment Tonight, "She's strong, but until someone faces something as devastating as that (jail)... we're going to have to see... Lindsay's scared to death. It's very difficult, we're not sleeping well, we're not functioning. We cry a lot and we hug a lot. She's petrified, we all are. We're angry. We're disappointed in the system."

The schedule for the Friday, July 23 programming of 2010 San Diego Comic Con International has been released, revealing that the day will be filled with a lot of discussions about the works in superhero, sci-fi and horror genres. Banks released the video as a mean of a movie directed by James "Latin" Clark. It features several characters involved in the drug world. A pimp contacts his primary link to pack up the place they do stash in because he thinks the place has been "compromised". But true to the dark world, the link is directed to a man who will eventually kill her. The video ends with "to be continued".

Now that a tape featuring Mel Gibson launching racist and offensive tirade against Oksana Grigorieva, his ex-girlfriend and mother of their illegitimate daughter, was released, the actor's agency, William Morris Endeavor, dropped the Oscar-winning actor as their client on Friday afternoon, July 9. The decision also follows the death of Mel's agent of more than 30 years, Ed Limato, on July 3.

"It is rare for William Morris Endeavor to dump an actor with such an A-list, high profile - but after they heard the tapes they probably would have realized they committed career suicide," Hollywood Image consultant, Michael Sands, said as quoted by FOX News. "It could have destroyed the agency's image to have kept him on board."

Actress Sophie Monk stunned radio listeners in Australia after outing an ex-boyfriend as a love cheat during an on-air interview. The "Date Movie" star was chatting on Sydney's 2DayFM breakfast show on Thursday, July 8 when she alleged she had caught her ex-boyfriend, plastic surgeon John Diaz, in bed with another woman earlier this year.

The blonde recalled how she began shaking and stormed out of his home but turned back to confront Diaz and his lover - and later got her revenge by pouring coffee over his car. Spanish soccer fans have Kasabian to thank for their team's appearance in the World Cup final - because the players listen to the band's music to "pump" them up before every match. The national team beat Germany on Wednesday, July 7 to reach the final of the soccer competition for the first time - and it's all thanks to Kasabian's hit "Club Foot", according to Spanish soccer star Fernando Torres.

He says, "'Club Foot' has got us to the final, so I would like to give a big thanks to Kasabian. Of course we will be playing it before the final against Holland on Sunday. So if the band are sitting watching the game then they will know that at about 7.20pm we will be getting pumped up to their most classic track."

Eminem Still Scheduled for T in the Park

Eminem will play at a music festival in Scotland this weekend, despite reports the rapper's planning to cancel his slot. The "Stan" hitmaker is slated to perform at T in the Park in Balado, Scotland on Saturday, July 10 alongside big names including Jay-Z and Muse.

Reports are suggesting Eminem won't turn up to perform the headlining gig, but festival organizer Geoff Ellis has slammed the rumors, insisting "everything is fine". He tells Scotland's Daily Record, "I'm talking to Eminem's people and we are sorting out the details for the TV coverage. Everything is fine. Eminem is definitely going ahead and highlights from his show will be seen in the TV coverage."

A spokesperson for Mary J. Blige has dismissed reports the soul singer is set to enroll at a U.S. university later this year - but the star isn't ruling out further education just yet. The "No More Drama" hitmaker, who dropped out of school as a teen, sparked rumors she'd be attending Howard University in autumn after she was awarded a high school degree on Monday, July 5.

She told the New Orleans Times-Picayune, "I just received my high school diploma. The city of New York gave me my high school diploma... and now Howard University has accepted me." Her publicist insists officials at the college in Washington, D.C. contacted Blige about attending - but she's not yet applied for a place.

Martin Scorsese Slapped With Lawsuit by Incarcerated Accountant

Martin Scorsese has been hit with a lawsuit after allegedly failing to pay $600,000 - to his jailed accountant Kenneth Starr. The "Taxi Driver" filmmaker has been accused of owing the sum for bookkeeping fees and services provided by financial adviser Starr, who was arrested in May after allegedly embezzling a massive $30 million from stars including Scorsese, Uma Thurman and Wesley Snipes.

Scorsese had agreed to pay five per cent of his income between 2006 and 2010 to Starr Investment Advisors, according to legal documents. Court-appointed receivers for the firm filed the lawsuit against Scorsese in Manhattan State Supreme Court on Thursday, July 8.

Ben Affleck Withdraws From Poker Tournament

Actor Ben Affleck was forced to pull out of a poker tournament earlier this week because he was suffering from an agonizing migraine. The "Good Will Hunting" star was due to compete at the World Series of Poker 'Ante Up for Africa' event at the Rio Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, which started on Monday, July 5.

But he had to scrap his entry after falling ill, reports New York Post gossip column PageSix. Affleck tells the publication, "This is the one poker event I go to each year, and I didn't even get to play."
