Troubled country star Mindy McCready is launching a legal bid to regain custody of her four-year-old son. McCready's mother, Gayle, won custody of Zander in 2007 after a fight with the singer over her drink and drugs demons.

It came just two years after the youngster's father, Billy McKnight, was charged with attempted murder and served 30 days in jail in 2005 following claims he beat and choked the singer. The case was later dismissed. But now McCready wants her son back and is heading to a Florida court on Wednesday afternoon , May 19 to reopen the custody case.

Sarah Jessica Parker plans to take her seven-year-old son James Wilkie to see mum in the "Sex and the City" sequel - but she'll be making excuses to take him out of the cinema during two saucy scenes. The actress won't reveal why the scenes are so unsuitable for a young boy, but she's concocting clever plots to make sure James isn't watching.

She says, "If I can manage to take him out for popcorn for two certain moments, I think he's ready for it (the film). He has too many questions, and he's too clever for us to keep it from him. I wouldn't say this movie is for seven year olds, but we'll find a way of figuring it out."

Amy Winehouse has sparked further fears for her health after she was admitted to hospital following a drinking session at the weekend, according to a U.K. report. The "Back to Black" hitmaker has sought medical attention several times in recent weeks. Last month, she was taken to a hospital after a drunken fall at her London home.

Now the singer has returned to the same private clinic for more treatment, according to Britain's The Sun newspaper. A source tells the publication, "She's there because she had a load to drink and was really unwell afterwards. Not just sick, really poorly."

Limp Bizkit are postponing a string of summer concerts - so they can move the U.S. tour into bigger arena venues. The rockers have scrapped gig plans for July and August in a bid to give fans "the best experience possible" and are in the process of working out new dates.

In a series of posts on Twitter.com, frontman Fred Durst explains, "Moving U.S. headlining tour dates from amphitheaters to arenas for a better Limp experience. Basically, Limp is not an amphitheater band. We like to see less seats in front of the stage and more floor filled with fans going bananas. It's just more fun for all of us that way. Some bands are meant to be seen mainly sitting down, but definitely NOT Limp Bizkit.

The director of Lindsay Lohan's alcohol education program has dismissed claims the actress isn't taking her court-ordered punishment seriously, branding the "Mean Girl" star "positive and receptive" in class. The 23 year old is completing the course as part of her probation from an incident in 2007 when she pleaded guilty to cocaine use and no contest to drink-driving and reckless driving charges.

She's due to appear before Judge Marsha Revel at Beverly Hills Courthouse in Los Angeles later this week, and some insiders have claimed that Lohan hasn't attended all her necessary classes - which could result in a jail sentence.

French actress Juliette Binoche broke down in tears at the Cannes Film Festival on Tuesday, May 18 after a journalist informed her jailed filmmaker Jafar Panahi is on hunger strike. The Oscar winner was speaking at a press conference to promote her upcoming picture "Certified Copy" at the annual movie event in France.

One reporter probed Binoche on her thoughts about Panahi - who has been in jail in Iran since March - and revealed the movie mogul was embarking on a hunger strike behind bars. The star was overcome with emotion and unable to answer - prompting the film's director Abbas Kiarostami to offer up his own response.

As it is getting close to the U.S. release of "Shrek Forever After", Paramount Pictures has shared more scenes from the film by launching a new clip as well as a fresh IMAX TV spot. The clip debuted by MSN gives a look at Rumpelstiltskin who has a meeting with witches to find out a way to take down Shrek. Jonathan Rhys-Meyers is again seeking help to battle the demon in the bottle. The star of "The Tudors" has been fighting off his addiction to alcohol and has entered rehab as well as AA classes several times before. But he reportedly is having a relapse and will soon return for a treatment in London.

"He just really wants to get better," a source close to the actor told People. "This has been an ongoing battle for him." A rep for the 32-year-old actor also confirmed that the actor is again seeking help but declined to give further comment.

"Men in Black 3" is close to add another name on its cast line-up. Reports say Jemaine Clement is currently in final negotiations with Columbia Pictures to star as one of the villains in the upcoming film.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Clement's character is named Boris who is described "as being charmy and creepy at the same time." The said character was previously called Yaz, but the site notices that the name may change again since the script is still polished.

Country music sensation Taylor Swift has added another major accolade to her collection of trophies after picking up the Artist of the Year Award at a major industry dinner on Monday night, May 17. The "Love Story" hitmaker was honored at the NARM Music Business Association's annual gala in Chicago, Illinois.

Paying tribute to the 20 year old, NARM President Jim Donio said, "We are thrilled to welcome Taylor back to NARM, and we are especially proud to recognize her extraordinary creative and commercial achievements with our Artist of the Year Award. Rockers KISS took a moment to "remember" late heavy metal legend Ronnie James Dio during a concert in Geneva, Switzerland on Monday, May 17, leading fans in a 30-second chant of the singer's name. Frontman Paul Stanley halted the show to pay his respects, and told fans, "Let's remember to remember him. Let's make sure he can hear us up there." Stanley then led the chant, "Ronnie, Ronnie..." before adding, "We love ya, we'll miss ya."

Prior to the show, Kiss had issued a statement about Dio's passing on Sunday, May 16. The bandmates declared, "We mourn the tragic passing of the great Ronnie James Dio. In addition to his powerhouse vocal ability, Ronnie was a true gentleman who always emanated great warmth and friendship to us and everyone around him. We will miss him."

"Spider-Man" star James Franco is heading back to the small screen to play a villain on U.S. soap "General Hospital". The actor had a brief stint on the long-running daytime show last year, and he's returning to the soap in 2010.

He tells People.com, "Working on General Hospital was a great experience. I love the cast, writers, directors and producers. They have become a new family for me. I can't wait for the work we will do this summer."

Actress Megan Fox has urged young women to seek advice from a therapist before undergoing plastic surgery, because the cosmetic procedure won't cure any insecurity issues. The "Transformers" beauty insists she has nothing against the medical practice, but fears females are often looking for a quick fix to their vanity worries instead of dealing with the problems deep down.

She tells Allure magazine, "I would encourage anyone to first speak with a therapist, to try and figure out where this want comes from, because a lot of times it's not related to your teeth or your nose or your chin; the surgery is not going to alleviate that insecurity for you."

It's a bad day if you have three names and you're a U.S. TV star - Jennifer Love Hewitt and Julia Louis-Dreyfus' long-running shows have been canceled. Hewitt's spooky drama "Ghost Whisperer" and Louis-Dreyfus' comedy "The New Adventures of Old Christine" have been axed as part of a sweep by TV bosses at CBS.

Comedy "Gary Unmarried", cop drama "Cold Case", "Miami Medical", "Accidentally on Purpose", and "Numb3rs" have also been canceled by the network executives.

"Sex and the City" star Kim Cattrall missed out on a major magazine front cover spread for refusing to pose with a cougar. The actress insists she had nothing against the big cat but doesn't like the term 'cougar' when it's used to describe an older woman who likes dating much younger men.

She tells U.S. news show Extra, "I was asked recently by a significant magazine for women over 40 to pose with a cougar and I refused to do it because I felt it was insulting and they took away the cover. I think that 'cougar' has a negative connotation and I don't see anything negative about... sexuality."

Lindsay Lohan's father is convinced the troubled actress would prefer jail time to rehab - and that's why she has jetted to the Cannes Film Festival in France just days before her probation hearing in Los Angeles. ABC Entertainment Group president Stephen McPherson appeared before advertisers on Tuesday, May 18 at Lincoln Center to make a presentation of its new series. The Alphabet has picked 10 newbies but only some of them will be debuted this Fall. The rest, along with "V" and "Supernanny" are reserved for Midseason.

Director Jon Favreau has shared the first look at his upcoming film "Cowboys and Aliens" by posting an image from shooting camera tests through Twitpic. Though so, the photo does not reveal much as it only features a man, whose face unseen, dressing like a cowboy.

The action adventure movie itself stars Daniel Craig as a mysterious gunslinger who is caught up in an Old West battle between the Apache and Western settlers that is interrupted by an alien invasion. The cowboys and Indians then team up to form a resistance against the aliens.

The handwritten lyrics to Michael Jackson's "Beat It" are to go under the hammer at a memorabilia auction in California next month. The late pop superstar gave his scribbled notes, signed by the King of Pop himself, to a producer pal.

Marc Kruskol, spokesman for auction house Profiles in History, says, "This piece has been in private hands since being written. It's an incredible piece from the legendary King of Pop and it's in fine condition."

Country singer Chely Wright will make her first big splash as a gay star since 'coming out' recently by performing at the The Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD) Media Awards in San Francisco, California next month.

The "Single White Female" singer will join Sam Sparro on the bill at the annual prizegiving, which will honor Cybill Shepherd and "Precious: Based on the Novel PUSH by Sapphire" director Lee Daniels. Actress Shepherd will receive the Golden Gate Award and Daniels will receive the Davidson/Valentini Award at the 21st annual GLAAD Media Awards.

Vanessa Williams sticks to ABC, switching show to "Desperate Housewives". The former cast of now-canceled "Ugly Betty" will not only do a guest starring appearance on the drama show but will be part of the series regulars next season.

Creator Marc Chery shared to TV Guide magazine, "I'm a big fan of Vanessa's work and I'm so excited that she'll be moving into the neighborhood next season to cause trouble in all the ladies' lives." However, Vanessa won't be the biggest piece of pie in next season's storyline. Marc said, "I think our mystery is going to involve Paul Young [returning cast member Mark Moses]."

BET Awards is not the only prize-giving event which announced nominations this week as Canadian MuchMusic Video Awards has also uncovered musicians vying for its coveted trophies. Drake receives seven nominations, while Justin Bieber makes his entrance onto the list with four nods.

The 23-year-old rapper and the 16-year-old pop singer will compete against each other in UR FAVE New Artist, UR FAVE Video and International Video of the Year by a Canadian. Axl Rose has waged war against former Guns N' Roses manager Irving Azoff, accusing him of attempting to sabotage the rocker's career after he refused to reunite with the band's original members. Azoff, the CEO of management firm Front Line, originally filed suit against Rose in March, claiming the singer reneged on an oral agreement giving him 15 per cent of his earnings from a big money concert tour - a deal said to be worth $2 million.

But Rose has fired back at Azoff, accusing the music mogul of failing to properly promote the band's 2008 album "Chinese Democracy" in an alleged bid to force him to reform the original Guns N' Roses line-up. Actress Sarah Jessica Parker is putting off plans to return to Broadway to focus on motherhood - because she can't bear to miss putting her young children to bed. The "Sex and the City" star, 45, first appeared on the New York stage at the age of 11, in a revival of William Archibald's play "The Innocents", before going on to land a role in a 1977 production of the musical "Annie".

Parker performed on Broadway twice more in the 1990s and she admits she's yearning to head back to the stage - but only when her son James Wilkie, seven, and twins Tabitha and Marion, 10 months, are old enough to fend for themselves. She tells EOnline.com, "As soon as my children are old enough to put themselves to bed. It's very hard for me to be away at night. It's hard to miss that time."

Lady GaGa was so impressed by a pre-teen internet sensation who wowed her with a rendition of her hit song "Paparazzi", she has helped to land the boy a deal with her record label. Twelve-year-old Greyson Chance was invited onto Ellen DeGeneres' daytime talk show last Thursday, May 13 after impressing over eight million YouTube.com watchers with home video footage of his church talent show cover of GaGa's hit.

Rumor has it, a sequel to "Wizard of Oz" is coming and Drew Barrymore will be very much involved in the making process. According to Pajiba, the 35-year-old beauty has picked "Surrender Dorothy" to be her second directing vehicle after serving behind the lens for "Whip It!".

Lindsay Lohan is dating celebrity photographer and reality TV star Indrani, according to the snapper's business partner. The actress has been secretly seeing Indrani, real name Julia I. Pal-Chaudhur, since the women worked together on a photoshoot last autumn, reports the New York Post.

In order to tie all loose ends, creators Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse have made a deal with ABC to extend it to two and a half hours instead of the original two hours. The finale is thus a five-and-a-half-hour event on May 23, beginning at 7 P.M. with "Lost: The Final Journey" and ending at 1 A.M. with "Jimmy Kimmel Live!: Aloha to Lost".

Courtney Love caused a scene while out on a date with her rumored new lover Andre Balazs - she blasted the tycoon for chatting to another woman, according to a U.S. report. Whitney Houston and Smokey Robinson have opened up about Michael Jackson a year after his death - for a new TV tribute created by the King of Pop's best pal, David Gest. Gest has grilled members of the Jackson family as well as the "Thriller" legend's pals Robinson, Houston, Dionne Warwick and Petula Clark for his four-hour 'popumentary', "The Real Michael Jackson".

The show includes an interview with Jackson's eldest sister Rebbie, who discusses the singer's alleged pill addiction, while his beloved mum Katherine pays a touching tribute to her son. Gest explains, "I have spent the past three months traveling the world interviewing people who were most important in (Jackson's) life. I believe this popumentary will entertain and educate in equal measures about who the real Michael Jackson was. I hope this will serve as a lasting testament to the compassion and love that he had for all mankind."

Mary-Kate Olsen was surprised at reports she got caught up in a mid-air drama on Sunday, May 16 - it was her twin sister Ashley Olsen on the stricken plane. Initial reports of the incident stated that former child star Mary-Kate was traveling on a flight from New York to Los Angeles when a blaze broke out at the front of the aircraft, cracking the windshield and forcing the pilots to make an emergency landing in Virginia.

But it has now emerged the twins were a victim of mistaken identity by other passengers - it was Ashley Olsen on the plane, with her actor boyfriend Justin Bartha.

Megan Fox was fuming after naked photos of her on a movie set were leaked online in January - just months after a pal sold topless shots of her to the tabloids. A set insider photographed the brunette beauty in her underwear while she was filming a scene for upcoming movie "Passion Play", and the images surfaced on the Internet earlier this year.

Fox was furious over the incident - and admits she wouldn't hold back if she were to discover who released the snaps. She tells Allure magazine, "If I knew who took this picture, I would personally cause them harm - physical harm. An auction of the jewels given to Anne Hathaway by her conman ex-lover Raffaello Follieri is free to go ahead after the actress refused to reclaim the gems. "The Devil Wears Prada" star's former boyfriend was jailed for four-and-a-half years in December 2008 after pleading guilty to 14 counts of wire fraud, conspiracy and money laundering.

Hathaway dumped the Italian businessman in June the same year just before his arrest for the scam, which saw him take more than $3.6 million from investment funds and real estate firms. During their romance, Follieri lavished gifts on his A-list lover, which Hathaway was forced to give up upon his trial so the goods could be used as evidence.

Jerry Bruckheimer's works in Hollywood movie industry have been honored in a Cinematic Celebration of Jerry Bruckheimer held in Los Angeles, California on Monday, May 17. Taking place in co-incidence with the premiere of his latest film "Prince of Persia: Sands of Time", the celebration was attended by some of the film cast such as Jake Gyllenhaal, Gemma Arterton and Ben Kingsley.

Also coming in support of the event were actors who have previously worked with Bruckheimer in some movies. Those included Tom Cruise who starred in "Top Gun", Bruce Willis who played in "Armageddon" as well as Nicolas Cage who had a lead role in "National Treasure".

"American Idol" began the Top 3 performance with Casey James. In the first round the contestants are allowed to pick any kind of song that they would like to sing while in the second round, they would do the judges' choice.

Casey kicked it off with "Okay, It's Alright With Me" by Eric Hutchinson. Ellen DeGeneres said, "I wish you would have brought it. It needed to really blow us away." Simon Cowell was none too pleased with the result either, saying "I think that was a dud song choice I'm afraid, but you sounded good" and adding that it was like a salad.

Ashlee Simpson and Pete Wentz's little son Bronx Mowgli Wentz was involved in a small fender-bender on Tuesday, May 18 in Los Angeles' Coldwater Canyon. The one-and-a-half-year-old boy was under the care of his nanny when the accident happened, but luckily he was left unscathed.

"It was a minor fender-bender and everyone is fine," a representative for the couple stated. Pete who quickly picked up Bronx with Ashlee after the accident later tweeted, "Thanks you guys for your concern. no one was hurt in the car accident and bx is currently back to building forts and hiding dads cellphone."

The nominations list of this year's BET Awards has been announced with Jay-Z scoring the most nods with five nominations. Following his domination are his singer wife Beyonce Knowles as well as fellow performers such as Alicia Keys, Trey Songz and Melanie Fiona with four gongs each.

Out of the five nods, Jay-Z faces off Beyonce in four fields, Best Collaboration, Viewer's Choice and Video of the Year. In the latest category, he gets double nominations; one for "Empire State of Mind" which features Alicia and the other for "Run This Town" which features Rihanna and Kanye West. He competes against Beyonce's "Video Phone" which features Lady GaGa, B.o.B's "Nothin on You" which features Bruno Mars and Melanie's "It Kills Me".

John Travolta's family have a reason to be overjoyed although they have just lost their dogs during an accident at Bangor International Airport in Maine. The actor's wife Kelly Preston is now pregnant with their third child, the couple has announced on both of their websites Tuesday, May 18.

"It's impossible to keep a secret....especially one as wonderful as this. We want to be the first to share this great news with everyone that we are expecting a new addition to our family," so read the statement. The couple does not mention when the baby is due, but the 47-year-old actress reportedly has been carrying the baby for three months.

"Dancing with the Stars" is down to three couples with the departure of Chad Ochocinco. The NFL star was sent packing this week after scoring the lowest on Monday, May 17 performance night. In the first dance, the Waltz, he managed to pull the same score as Erin Andrews which is 27/30 but he stumbled in the energetic Samba and earned 25/30.

Ochocinco is the only remaining competitor who owns no dancing experience prior to the show. "This was awesome," he said after the elimination. "I enjoyed the journey, I met some wonderful people, I got some great criticism that's only made me stronger and I'll miss 'em all, especially the beautiful Cheryl Burke. And in my eyes really, I've already won."

A new sneak peek to "Rockstar 101" music video from Rihanna has been brought forward in a form of a short snippet. It features the Barbadian songstress wearing latex bodysuit, bright red-colored wig and stilettos.

Taken from Rihanna's 2009 studio album "Rated R", "Rockstar 101" features Slash. The music video is directed by Anthony Mandler and is expected to be premiered in full next week. Bassist Nikki Sixx of rock band Motley Crue actually was asked to make appearance in it, but he declined the offer. "Rihanna just asked me to be in her video for 'Rockstar'. I respectfully said no. What do you guys think?" he tweeted.
