Glam rocker Jani Lane is in trouble with the law again - he was reportedly arrested in California on suspicion of driving under the influence (DUI). The former Warrant frontman was pulled over by officers while driving in the Woodland Hills area of California on Sunday evening, May 9, and has been booked on suspicion of DUI, according to TMZ.

In 2009, Lane pleaded no contest to a charge of DUI and was sentenced to two days in jail and 36 months probation, as well as alcohol education classes and community service. A warrant for his arrest was allegedly issued in February this year after he failed to appear at a progress hearing.

British singer Alexandra Burke has reportedly fallen out with her mother following her claims the star hasn't given her family "a penny" since she shot to fame. The "Bad Boys" hitmaker became a household name in Britain when she won Simon Cowell's reality TV contest "The X Factor" in 2008, and has subsequently enjoyed two chart-topping singles, as well as a number one album.

But her success has been tainted by arguments with her mum Melissa Bell - a one-time singer with British group Soul II Soul - who is planning to release a tell-all book about her tumultuous relationship with her daughter. In a recent interview, Melissa claimed she had received no financial help from her famous offspring, and that she was the "better singer" of the two.

Lindsay Lohan's estranged father Michael has ridiculed her decision to play infamous porn star Linda Lovelace in a biopic - insisting the role will end her career for good. Photographer Tyler Shields has confirmed he has been approached to work on the film, which will tell the story of the "Deep Throat" star, and Lohan has been chosen to portray Lovelace.

But Michael - who has been embroiled in a war of words with the "Mean Girls" star since he attempted to stage an intervention at her Hollywood home in April - is adamant the risque role will prove disastrous for his daughter's already faltering acting career. He tells UsWeekly.com, "Oh, I don't even want to go there... Come on! Seriously - why? She did 'Parent Trap', 'Confessions (of a Teenage Drama Queen)', 'Freaky Friday', 'Mean Girls', 'Just My Luck' and 'Herbie (: Fully Loaded)'. And you know what? Mel Gibson's representative has denied the actor split from Oksana Grigorieva after he cheated on her with a Polish porn star. The Russian singer/songwriter confirmed reports she had ended her relationship with the actor during a press conference in April.

The pianist insisted the split had happened "suddenly and recently", but refused to go into detail about the breakdown of the relationship. Porn star Violet Kowal claimed in America's National Enquirer she had embarked on an affair with the "Braveheart" star while Grigorieva was pregnant with the couple's child Lucia, who was born in October 2009.

American actress/singer Lena Horne has died. She was 92. The star passed away at New York-Presbyterian Hospital on Sunday, May 9, but her cause of death was unknown as WENN went to press. Horne shot to fame in 1943 when she starred in film musical "Stormy Weather" and the title track became her signature song. During her career, she became a voice for the civil rights movement in the U.S. and was one of Hollywood's first black pin-ups.

She was struck by tragedy in the early 1970s when her husband, son and father died within a period of 12 months. Horne announced her retirement in 1980, but in 1981 she put on an award-winning one-woman show, "Lena Horne: The Lady and Her Music", on Broadway and in London.

The big season finale of "Desperate Housewives" will air on May 16 and a preview from the episode shows that a big explosion will occur. As executive producer Bob Daily put it, one house in the Wisteria Lane will be blown up, literally.

The video is directed by Joseph Kahn who also helmed music videos by Britney Spears and Lady GaGa. Among the things which would be seen in the video are white doves, white horse and a bunch of shirtless men. However, no premiere date has been revealed yet for the video.

Anthony Hopkins is eying a role in another action adventure film. After cast as Odin in "Thor", the 72-year-old Welsh has been reported close to seal a deal with Inferno Entertainment to play the villain in "Arabian Nights", The Hollywood Reporter (THR) claims.

According to the site, Hopkins is currently in final negotiations with the studio. Should the actor is signed for the film, he will be seen playing Pharotu, an evil sorcerer who killed Sinbad's love, a mermaid, and is looking to amass more magic for himself, THR further reports.

Hollywood star Don Cheadle is set to be honored as a United Nations Goodwill Ambassador for his work to save the planet. The "Hotel Rwanda" actor first teamed up with the U.N. last year to front its climate change campaign, urging world leaders to sign a treaty limiting greenhouse gas emissions.

Cheadle's efforts have won him high praise from organization officials and he will be promoted to a Goodwill Ambassador during a special ceremony next month. He says, "I will be named officially in Rwanda on June 5th, a Goodwill Ambassador for the United Nations Environmental programme. I'll be in Rwanda on June 5th."

Some new photos from the production of "Conan" have surfaced on internet. While the pictures do not feature any of the stars, they do give a look at the set which is formed to look like a muddy village. Exposed in all of the images is a rickety shack built around some wooden structures on a barren field.

The on-set pictures, which are obtained by Operation Kino, were taken from Bistriza, Bulgaria where the shooting is currently underway. Previously, some photos which feature the crew and cast have been posted on Conan Movie Blog Facebook and can be seen on Quiet Earth.

R&B superstar Usher has been forced to settle for second place in the U.K. singles chart for another week running after losing his crown to British rap group Roll Deep. The "Burn" hitmaker's collaboration with will.i.am, "OMG", slipped from number one to two last week with London collective Roll Deep replacing him at the top with their song "Good Times".

There was no change when the official countdown was released on Sunday, May 9 - Roll Deep remained in first place, followed by Usher and British rapper/singer Plan B at three with "She Said". Dance group Pendulum debuts at four with "Watercolour", while Aggro Santos rounds out the top five with the track Candy.

Singer/actress Lindsay Lohan has been left fuming after discovering her new music has been leaked online. Betty White fulfilled one of her fans' dreams on Saturday, May 8 night when she finally appeared on "Saturday Night Live". As a host, she opened the show with a monologue, performed digital shorts, introduced the musical guest and did some sketches.

"Iron Man 2" has launched its attack at the North American Box Office. Named one of the most highly anticipated movies for this summer, this Paramount Pictures' film enters the chart on the top spot with $128.1 million.

Accordingly, this "Iron Man" sequel performs better than the first film which collected $96 million when it was debuted in May 2008, making it Paramount's best gross to date. However, "Iron Man 2" does not manage to break the record set by "The Dark Knight" in May 2008 with $158.4 million tally and is only named fifth biggest bow ever.

Brothers Daniel and Jordan Pious have won the 16th season of "The Amazing Race" after travelling more than 40,000 miles, five continents and nine countries. The siblings hailing from Barrington, Rhode Island finished first in the last pit stop in San Francisco and took home the $1 million grand prize.

Smart moves and good memories contributed to Dan and Jordan's victory. In the airport, they put their backpacks behind Brent and Caite so that they cut the line and pushed Jet and Cord to number 3.
