"Vlad" has got a new writer after Summit Entertainment closed a deal with Scott Kosar, The Hollywood Reporter mentioned. The filmmaker, who once penned Christian Bale-starring thriller "The Machinist", is set to work on the the upcoming movie which original script was written by Charlie Hunnam.

"Vlad", which is produced by Brad Pitt and Dede Gardner through their Plan B shingle, will revolve around Dracula as a young prince known as Vlad the Impaler, the man behind the Dracula myth. Anthony Mandler is on board to serve behind the camera for the film which has not cast any acting talent.

Sir Andrew Lloyd Webber is convinced his ex-wife Sarah Brightman should never walk down the aisle again - because she isn't the "marrying sort". The theatre impresario wed the famed soprano in 1984 after they met when Brightman auditioned for a role in his hit musical "Cats".

They split after six years, and Webber, who is still on friendly terms with his former partner, is adamant the break-up was for the best, because twice-wed Brightman can't settle down. He tells Britain's Daily Mail, "It was clear pretty quickly that she was not someone who was going to make a huge home."

Baze starts to invade Cate's life in the upcoming episode of "Life Unexpected". Pressured by radio station management, Cate and Ryan reluctantly agree to let Baze join them on air for what turns into a public therapy session.

Meanwhile, Lux tries to get Jones (guest star Austin Butler) to drop the charges against her boyfriend, Bug (guest star Rafi Gavron). "Truth Unrevealed" airs on Monday, February 22 after "One Tree Hill".

Movie star Edward Norton is cooing about girlfriend Shauna Robertson in the new issue of porn magazine Hustler, revealing he's impressed by her back story. The actor, who previously dated Salma Hayek, tells Hustler boss Larry Flynt that his current girlfriend reminds him a lot of his ex.

He explains, "She came here from Canada with nothing when she was 17 and lied about her age to get a job at Disney. By the time she was 33, she had produced $1 billion worth of comedies. "Golden Girls" legend Betty White is surprised fans have launched an online campaign to land her a job on "Saturday Night Live" - because she thought the public would be sick of seeing her on TV. Over 330,000 members of social networking website Facebook.com have signed a petition to urge "Saturday Night Live" bosses to let White act as a celebrity host on the longrunning sketch show.

The campaign follows the 88-year-old's hit Super Bowl ad for Snickers, which showed her being tackled to the ground during a game of American Football. And the actress is overwhelmed so many people are backing her for a role on the show, as she thought people would "be throwing rocks instead".

Sandra Bullock's Academy Award nomination has left her feeling "scared" - because she doesn't know where her career will take her next. Bullock picked up her first Oscar nod earlier this month on February 10 for her role in "The Blind Side", and is facing stiff competition from previous winners Meryl Streep and Dame Helen Mirren, as well as hot newcomers Carey Mulligan and Gabourey Sidibe.

But although she is honored to be selected as a potential winner of Hollywood's leading accolade, Bullock admits the nomination is daunting - and she has turned down any future projects until the Oscar buzz calms down. She says, "I think it scares me more than anything because you think, 'What do I do now?' "

Celine Dion skipped the opening ceremony of the Winter Olympics in her native Canada - because she thought she'd be too pregnant to perform. Dion's absence raised questions because many fans expected her to be part of the spectacular in Vancouver on Friday, February 12.

Instead, Sarah McLachlan, Nelly Furtado, Bryan Adams and k.d. lang took top billing. Dion's representative has since cleared up the confusion, explaining that the singer was forced to pull out of a planned performance when she fell pregnant in 2009.

Through her appearance on "The View", Barbara Walters announced that starting 2011, she won't continue having Oscar night special which she has done in the last 29 years. Thus, this year's "Barbara Walters Special", which will be aired before the Oscars on March 7, will be her last.

"ABC has asked me to keep doing these specials as they have been so successful," Walters began. "And I'm thrilled we have such great stars and have such a wonderful show - but to be honest, I feel like I've 'been there, done that'."

Goldie Hawn is in talks to set up a Buddhist school in the United Kingdom. The actress' Hawn Foundation already teaches kids Buddhist techniques in schools across America, and now she wants to take the initiative across the Atlantic, and use the teachings to help British children build social and emotional stability - and curb violent outbursts in the classroom and playground.

Hawn says, "We need to rethink our whole approach to classroom education, integrating neuroscience with the latest social and emotional learning techniques. A peaceful, happy child is the first step towards a peaceful world."

After taking a hiatus for a while, Jonas Brothers are ready to make a comeback. In an interview with Galaxie magazine for its February issue, Joe Jonas revealed that they "have already started writing songs" for a new album.

Previously, the band repeatedly told fans that they will embark on another tour once they reunite. To MTV, Nick Jonas explained, "We've got a lot of exciting things coming this year as the Jonas Brothers and individually. ... we're going to be spending a lot of tome together - then we're working on plans for a world tour."

"Gossip Girl" star Blake Lively's representative has denied reports the actress is set to strip for men's magazine Playboy, insisting there is "not one ounce of truth" to the rumors. Editors at American tabloid National Enquirer claimed the star had been offered a "whopping $2.5 million to bare it all." Lively was said to be seriously considering posing naked, despite her family being divided on the decision.

However, a spokesperson for the 22-year-old has set the record straight, telling GossipCop.com, "Nothing about that is true. There's not one ounce of truth to it."

Not yet commencing on the third installment of "Kill Bill" franchise, Quentin Tarantino has mapped out an idea for another film project. The filmmaker recently had a chat with New York Daily News during which he opened up about his plan to make a Western-themed movie, saying "I'd like to do a Western."

The 46-year-old helmer insisted he will make it different from other Western films, choosing an unusual set. "But rather than set it in Texas, have it in slavery times. With that subject that everybody is afraid to deal with," he claimed.

Tim Burton's fantasy film "Alice in Wonderland" is facing a boycott from cinema bosses in Holland over plans to release the movie on DVD just three months after it hits theaters. The Disney production, which stars Johnny Depp and Anne Hathaway, is due to open in the country on March 10 - but Dutch cinema owners are refusing to show the film amid fears they will lose out on big box office bucks because fans will opt to wait for the early DVD release.

Youry Bredewold, a spokesman for the National Board of Cinema Owners, says, "The four big cinema houses, Minerva, Pathe, Wolff and Jogchems - representing between 80 and 85 percent of all cinemas in the Netherlands - have decided not to show the film.

Rapper Nas has taken aim at his estranged wife Kelis in a new song, in which he questions her fidelity during their four-year marriage. The "Milkshake" singer filed for divorce from Nas in 2009, just months before giving birth to their son Knight in July.

The former couple has since been embroiled in a bitter divorce battle, arguing over the amount of child and spousal support Kelis should receive after Nas was ordered to hand over more than $51,000 a month. Now the "I Can" hitmaker has aired his grievances in new song "Strong Will Continue" from his upcoming album "Distant Relatives".

Mumbai, India cinemas showing Bollywood superstar Shahrukh Khan's new movie were targeted by Hindu extremists over the weekend following the actor's recent comments about his country's snub of Pakistani cricketers. The movie star admitted he was dismayed by the fact Pakistani sportsmen would not be able to take part in the India Premier League 3 series - and Hindus took exception to his remarks.

Khan owns IPL team the Kolkata Knight Riders. Fundamentalists tore down posters and threw stones at cinemas showing "My Name is Khan" on Friday, February 12, as Hindu leaders called for a boycott of the film. Police were called in to guard more than 60 cinemas across the capital and outlying areas - to make sure angry extremists did not gain access to the film houses.

Aerosmith's split could be over a lot sooner than expected - the band has signed on to co-headline Britain's Download festival, and Steven Tyler is expected to be part of the show. Tyler temporarily quit the group in 2009 after announcing he wanted a hiatus, he has since checked into rehab in an effort to kick a painkiller addiction.

Following the shock news he'd be leaving the band, guitarist Joe Perry revealed he'd be looking to replace the frontman with a new singer, so the group could honor 2010 studio and concert commitments. But now it seems Tyler is heading back to the band - for a date at Download.

Angelina Jolie went back in time for a family Valentine's Day treat - the actress and her partner Brad Pitt took their three eldest kids out to dinner at the fancy restaurant the "Tomb Raider" star has been a fan of since she was two.

The Hollywood couple celebrated the most romantic day of the year at Los Angeles' Benihana restaurant. A source tells Life & Style magazine, "Angie's been coming in here since she was two years old. She'd come here with her parents and brother and loved to sit at the table and watch the chefs cook her shrimp."

Black Eyed Peas' "Imma Be" and "Rock That Body" music videos are debuted back to back under new title "Imma Be Rocking That Body". It kicks off with will.i.am explaining his vision about the group's future in the next millennium. Stacy Ferguson aka Fergie who disagrees with the idea leaves the group in outrage, driving a BMW motorcycle. Then, the video is rolled, featuring lots of futuristic scenes.

The video was shot in a desert road in Lancaster, California on January 13 and directed by Rich Lee. The filming process was once forced to be halted when a sudden gust of sand swept the set and made it an unsafe environment for the artists and crew.

Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn has pulled out of Keanu Reeves' new adaptation of "Jekyll" due to a scheduling conflict. The filmmaker was due to take charge of "Jekyll", a modern retelling of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic, but has since been forced to withdraw from the project.

He tells EmpireOnline.com, "I just couldn't do it when they needed me. Keanu is a wonderful actor and I'm sure it will be a fantastic film with him in." Refn has also dropped out of Harrison Ford's upcoming film "The Dying of the Light" for different reasons, but insists the split was amicable.

Isabel Lucas has landed a role in a new musical comedy entitled "A Heartbeat Away". It has not been known what role which is played by the Australia-born actress in this film debut for Emmy Award winning Australian theater director Gale Edwards, but she will share screen with the likes of Sebastian Gregory, Williams Zappa, Tammy Macintosh and Colin Friels.

"A Heartbeat Away" tells the story of an aspiring rock guitarist who is forced to take over the musical direction of his father's marching band just weeks before a major competition. "It's a charming, funny and moving human story with some interesting deeper layers," Edwards claims about her new project. The shooting for the film has been kicked off on Monday, February 15 in Brisbane for a 2011 release.

Although her sexy image has landed her a job as Calvin Klein's underwear model, Megan Fox is still insecure about her body. In a new interview with W magazine, the "Transformers" babe said, "My main weakness is nerves. I have no confidence, and because of that I'm always second-guessing myself."

She also doubts her image when wearing only skivvies, saying "There are some women you could put in underwear and photograph them, and it looks really classy and it doesn't necessarily provoke a pinup image." Referring to curvy women in the '40s, she added, "But with me, it does, immediately. As soon as I'm in underwear, I'm a Vargas girl."

British R&B star Jay Sean has struggled with his weight since he was a child - he shed the pounds with an obsessive diet as a teenager and has refused to compromise his grueling eating regime ever since. The 26-year-old admits he was a "very, very fat kid" and only took steps to slim down when he left home to attend medical college.

Sean cut carbohydrates, such as bread and pasta, from his diet, and embarked on daily workouts to lose the weight. He says, "(I was) a very, very fat kid. I was 14 stone when I left school. I challenged myself. I used to look at pictures in magazines and go, 'I wish I had a body like that.' And I said to myself, 'One day I will look like that. I will get that body.' And I worked my a**e off to get it. I lost three stone over the summer, people didn't recognize me."

Actress Kaley Cuoco is struggling win back the support of producers behind her hit U.S. TV series "The Big Bang Theory" - after she "almost killed" co-star Johnny Galecki in a motor accident. Cuoco admits she loves being behind the wheel, even though she's a bad driver. She tells America's Maxim magazine, "I've had so many (accidents), I can't even count."

But one dangerous crash with Galecki in the rear seat of a scooter almost ended in tragedy - and now show producers don't trust Cuoco when she gets in the driver's seat. She explains, "(One) time I was driving a Vespa in the Dominican Republic with my castmate Johnny Galecki on the back like a little b**ch."

Three pictures taken from Lady GaGa's "Telephone" music video shoot have been revealed. They mostly highlight on the dance queen sans her featured guest Beyonce Knowles. One of the snaps sees her playing a waitress and bringing two plates full of meals in her left hand.

The video is directed by Jonas Akerlund and will pick up where the storyline of "Paparazzi" video left off. It is suggested that the video will follow GaGa when she is put behind the bars and rescued by Beyonce. Yellow truck called "P***y Wagon" which was used by Uma Thurman to shoot Quentin Tarantino's "Kill Bill" is brought forward for one of the filmings.

Robert Pattinson experienced the "best day" of his life on the set of his new movie when an elephant picked him up in its mouth and turned him upside down. The animal-loving "Twilight" actor is currently shooting circus movie "Water for Elephants" in California with Hollywood beauty Reese Witherspoon, but it was another female co-star who caught Pattinson's attention after a close encounter.

He tells Details magazine, "So this big female started sniffing my foot - big female elephant, that is. She sniffed it so hard it came up off the pavement like her trunk was a vacuum cleaner. Then she took my entire body in her mouth."

Scottish Calvin Harris is to launch his own record label in summer. The Acceptable in the '80s hitmaker has named his new venture Fly Eye and is set to unveil the label in May. Harris will kickstart the project by releasing a single from Mr Blink - an anonymous DJ who performs in disguise.

And the star admits he's delighted to fulfil his dream of becoming a record label boss. He tells NME.com, "My goal for Fly Eye is to release the most exciting club music I can get my hands on. There will be absolutely no s**te."

Universal Pictures has debuted a new international teaser trailer for "Despicable Me", containing full of new footage. The video follows the second greatest villain Gru who walks alongside his army of Minions. Similar to the previously released snippets from the film, this teaser which is first posted by Times Online does not explain anything about the storyline but still manages to generate some laughs.

Surrounded by a small army of minions and armed with his arsenal of shrink rays, freeze rays, and battle-ready vehicles for land and air, he vanquishes all who stand in his way.

Carly Simon is appealing to fans and wannabe filmmakers to submit footage to make a music video for her smash hit "You're So Vain" - 38 years after it was first released. The song, which is rumored to take aim at one of Simon's former lovers, catapulted the singer to fame in 1972 but she never shot a promo to accompany it.

An acoustic version of the track was released in 2009 and Simon wants her devotees to come up with creative ideas for its first official video in a new competition. She says, "People ask me all the time why is there no video of this song. I think it's that people were so busy asking me who the song was about that nobody thought to make a video of it."

Question on what Kanye West will call his next studio album has been answered. According to one of his proteges Big Sean who was recently signed to G.O.O.D Music/Def Jam imprint, the effort is titled "Good Ass Job".

"Up n at em!!! Time to go to Hawaii! To work on the best 2 albums of all time. Mne 'Finally Famous' n Kanye's graduation!," he wrote on Twitter over the weekend before then clarifying with another post. "I mean 'Good ass Job' not Graduation. A spokesperson for tennis ace Rafael Nadal has brushed off rumors the athlete is romancing pop star Shakira following a series of meetings between the pair. The Colombian singer's nine-year romance with investment banker Antonio de la Rua has been under scrutiny in recent months as speculation mounts over her relationship with Nadal.

In March 2009, Shakira reportedly cozied up to Nadal in Miami, Florida after watching the athlete qualify for the Miami Masters. The pair was also spotted dining at a hotel in Barcelona, Spain before shooting a video together in the city late last week.

Warner Bros. has unleashed a bunch of new images from action sci-fi "Tekken". Making its way out via the film's official site, most of the stills highlight the battle between the major character and his enemies as he joins a fighting tournament. Additionally, other characters such as Candice Hillebrand's Nina Williams and Marian Zapico's Anna Williams are highlighted in several pictures.

Based on a popular fighting game series of the same name, "Tekken" is set in 2039. After World Wars destroy much of civilization, territories are no longer run by governments, but by corporations the mightiest of which is Tekken. In order to keep the masses down, Tekken sponsors the Iron Fist Tournament in which fighters compete to the death for ultimate glory and receive a lifetime of stardom and wealth.

Actress Paula Patton has a constant reminder of the nude cover she shot for husband Robin Thicke's debut album - her father-in-law keeps a copy in his living room. Embattled director Roman Polanski has scored a victory with his latest movie "The Ghost Writer" - the film has secured rave reviews following its premiere at the Berlin film festival in Germany. The political thriller starring Ewan McGregor and Pierce Brosnan premiered on Friday, February 12 and is one of 20 movies up for the prized Golden Bear award for best picture.

The Oscar-winning filmmaker is currently under house arrest at his Swiss chalet and did not attend the premiere. He pleaded guilty to a charge of unlawful sex with a 13-year-old girl in 1977 - but he fled the U.S. before his sentence could be passed. He was held by officials in Zurich in 2009 and placed under house arrest.

Gia makes her exit from "The Bachelor" season 14 when Jake Pavelka did not hand her a rose. This leaves the final two between 'fans favorite' Tenley and 'villain' Vienna. "To send Gia home was just horrible for me. ...I made her cry and it just broke my heart," Jake said. "I hate that I hurt someone that I love."

Walt Disney Pictures keeps teasing audience by releasing another snippet for "Toy Story 3". Mostly containing the scenes featured in the third domestic trailer, a new international trailer for the film gives a look at fresh scene in which Barbie snags a scarf from Ken.

As Andy heads off to college, his toys are going to be put on attics but they are accidentally thrown away. Now the toy gang finds themselves at a local day-care center, where they must try to survive the pre-school children. Having enough of the kids' brutality they decide to escape and find themselves a new home.

Kelly Osbourne spent her Valentine's Day morning in hospital after her friend suffered injuries in a freak accident at a New York bar on Saturday night, February 13. The reality TV star was the main attraction on the runway for Fashion Week over the weekend, modeling for designer Betsey Johnson and Naomi Campbell's Fashion For Relief Haiti show.

The 25-year-old went to Big Apple hotspot Boom Boom Room to celebrate with stylist friend Brooke Dulien on Saturday evening, but the night descended into disaster - and ended in the emergency room. More than 3,000 young fans packed into the Hollywood Palladium on February 14 to watch Justin Bieber singing live. A lot of pushing and screaming occurred among the concertgoers which made the DJ warned them, "Justin Bieber wants you all to take three steps back."

Jessica Biel was on a sugar high for days while filming new movie "Valentine's Day" after she was forced to repeatedly munch on doughnuts and chocolates in one indulgent shoot. The actress is part of a star-studded cast in the new Garry Marshall's romantic comedy, which includes Julia Roberts, Jennifer Garner, Jessica Alba, Ashton Kutcher and Bradley Cooper.

Another sneak peek to "Defendor" has been shared through a new trailer. Debuted by Trailer Addict, the snippet features a normal guy who is determined to be a superhero, using only simple costume and unconventional weapons of mass confusion to fight crime.

Arthur Poppington is a regular but delusional man who adopts the persona of a superhero named Defendor on a quest to find his arch enemy Captain Industry, a drug and weapons dealer whom he mistakenly blames for the death of his mother. Aided by his new friend a young prostitute named Katerina Debrofkowitz, Defendor proves that everyone is capable of making a difference.

The latest in Tiger Woods' already messy life is the claim of him impregnating former porn star Joslyn James, twice. As fast as the words travel around, James' stepmother came pouring cold water over the claim, saying James is a "compulsive liar".

In an interview, James said that she had unprotected sex with Woods during their year-long affair and got knocked up a couple of times. The first pregnancy, according to the 32-year-old, ended up in a miscarriage while the second one was aborted. These coincided with Wood's wife Elin Nordegren's pregnancies which became the reason why James did not acknowledge the golfer.

Ryan Gosling pulled out of a planned gig at New York Fashion Week on Thursday night, February 11 to reportedly concentrate on a new movie role. The 29-year-old actor was due to play a set with his band Dead Man's Bones at Milk Studios in Manhattan, to launch the legendary style festival. But Gosling scrapped plans to appear, leaving his bandmate Zack Shields to play a DJ set instead.

The actor was photographed out and about in Los Angeles on Saturday, February 13, prompting online gossips to link the axed gig to news of Gosling's latest movie role - replacing Hugh Jackman as a getaway driver in "Drive".

Actress Jessica Szohr has dismissed rumors her relationship with Ed Westwick is in trouble - the "Gossip Girl" hunk made a last-minute dash back to New York to spend Valentine's Day with his girlfriend. The castmates have been a couple since 2008 but Szohr sparked rumors their union was in trouble in early February when she refused to answer questions about the state of their relationship.

But the 24-year-old actress is quick to brush off speculation she and Westwick have broken up, revealing the Brit made a special effort so they could spend the most romantic day of the year together.

Joe Jonas has begun shooting a music video for his new track titled "Make a Wave" which will be featured in upcoming Disneynature film "Oceans". The Jonas Brothers' vocalist tweeted to his followers on February 15 that he did the filming with his collaborator Demi Lovato.

"Today I'm shooting the music video for 'Make a Wave' with Demi! Yayy!" he wrote. His "Camp Rock" co-star, who plays his love interest in the mouse house's original movie, also posted a similar message on her own page.
