Kelly Rutherford Returns to Court to Seek Restraining Order From Husband

"Gossip Girl" star Kelly Rutherford is set to go head to head in court with her estranged husband over her restraining order against him. The actress obtained a temporary restraining order last year (2009) against Daniel Giersch, the father of her two children, after accusing him of making threats and trailing her, her mother and nanny.

Giersch fought back, denying allegations of harassment, reports RadarOnline.com. Now Rutherford wants the case to go before a judge - she filed legal documents on Friday (January 8) requesting to appear in court to testify against the German businessman.

The beauty queen who accused David Copperfield of rape was questioned by police last month over allegations she tried to extort $2,000 from a businessman for sex, according to police reports.

The illusionist was cleared of sexual assault allegations on Tuesday, January 12 after a two-year investigation was closed. But according to The Seattle Times, his accuser - an unidentified former Miss Washington contestant - made a similar claim against another man after allegedly trying to charge him for sex last month.

In-Loose Katt Williams Is Sought for Two Warrants

Comedian Katt Williams is a wanted man - two warrants have been issued for his arrest after he allegedly punched a man in the face. The funnyman is accused of assaulting Merion Powers in a Georgia hotel room on November 12, 2009 after a chat about a debt turned ugly.

According to the police report, Powers began recording audio footage of the incident on his mobile phone after sensing trouble. The report states, "Mr. Williams was on audio recording stating that he did physically strike Mr. Power's once in the nose."

Former NSYNC star Joey Fatone is a dad again after a Monday night, January 11, delivery drama. The singer-turned-TV personality's wife Kelly was rushed into an Orlando, Florida hospital on New Year's Eve suffering chronic fatigue.

Doctors found blood clots in her lungs and diagnosed her with a rare genetic condition called Methylene-Tetra-Hydro-Folate-Reductase. Fatone tells People.com, "It was life and death."

Stephenie Meyer Clears Up Rumor on 'Breaking Dawn' Dispute

Stephenie Meyer has responded to report mentioning that there was a conflict between her and Summit Entertainment regarding "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn". On a statement posted on her official website on Tuesday, January 12, the author of "Twilight Saga" novels wrote, "There is no drama over whether the book should be one movie or two."

"My personal feeling is that it would be very difficult to cram the whole story into one movie (as I've said in many interviews previous to this), but if a great way of doing that surfaces, I'm all for it," Meyer further explained. "Two or one, whichever way fits the story best is fine by me, and everyone I've spoken with at Summit seems to feel the same way."

Lloyd Banks Not Allowed to Leave Canada for Alleged Assault Case

Rapper Lloyd Banks was detained by immigration officials after he was released from jail in Canada on Tuesday, January 21 for unspecified issues. The "G-Unit" star was arrested with three of his associates in Ontario, Canada on Saturday, January 9 after allegedly attacking club promoter Chris Hines in a violent dispute over a gig payment.

Banks was released on bail on Tuesday, January 12, but he wasn't immediately allowed to return to America - Canadian immigration officials proceeded to remand him and pal Nicklas Sloane, according to a spokesperson for the Kitchener Police in Ontario. The other two men arrested in the incident - Shawn McGee and Tyrell Cooper - are believed to have returned to the U.S.

In some kind of twisted story, Matt LeBlanc is auditioning for a part to play Matt LeBlanc in new Showtime series "Episodes". The process of getting the role is captured in the first sneak peek to the comedy which may be looking at a premiere in Fall.

LeBlanc plays himself and his agent tells him to do the formality of attending the audition of a new series which will focus on him. He walks into the waiting room only to find several actors dressing like him and practicing the line "How you doin'?", a catchphrase which became his "Friends" character's trademark. In the end the casting directors say he is not the best they have auditioned.

Channing Tatum begged to be knocked out after sustaining severe burns to his penis in a bizarre accident on the set of "The Eagle of the Ninth" - because he could hardly tolerate the pain. The actor, 29, was shooting the drama in the chilly Scottish Highlands in October 2009 and, in an effort to keep warm, he poured boiling hot water into his wetsuit.

He tells Details magazine, "The only way to keep warm was by pouring a mix of boiling water and river water down your suit. We were finally done shooting for the day, and one of the crew guys asks if I want to warm up before I go. I'm like, 'Nah, I'm good'. And then I thought, 'Why not?' "

Martial arts star Jackie Chan broke his finger during a fight scene in his new film "The Spy Next Door" - and had to snap it back into place or risk stalling the movie.

Chan noticed the little finger on his left hand was bent right back and dislocated before he felt any pain - and decided to continue with the scene. He says, "I still do two punches, otherwise you have to do it (scene) all over again. I go, pow, pow and then, 'Cut!' and then I put it (finger) back."

The first trailer of "Treme" a new drama series by HBO has been unleashed, revealing none of the human but music instruments scattered in some places. "Treme" is a post-Katrina-themed drama that chronicles the rebuilding of New Orleans through the eyes of local musicians. The title is derived from a neighborhood in the city.

The men behind the series are the same persons who created the critically-acclaimed "The Wire". David Simon and Eric Overmyer teamed up once again to expose the aftermath of natural disaster in a series that would star Wendell Pierce and Clarke Peters. The former actor would be an accomplished jazz trombonist while the latter would be a Mardi Gras Indian tribe leader.

Jay-Z's Bar Bouncers Sued for Various Charges of Assault

A group of bouncers accused of assaulting three customers at Jay-Z's sports bar in Atlantic City, New Jersey last year 2009 has been hit with various charges of assault. Several security guards were caught on camera in October 2009 kicking and punching Bryant Norwood, Leonard Clark and Tyrell Durant in the parking lot of the 40/40 Club after the patrons were kicked out of the venue for disorderly behavior.

The employees have since been fired from their jobs as a result of the incident, and now they are facing prosecution for their actions. According to Monmouth County Attorney Eugene Melody, two of the victims - Clark and Durant - officially pressed charges against nine bouncers on Monday, January 11, with the 14 counts ranging from assault and aggravated assault after they were sprayed with a fire extinguisher.

It is official, The Ting Tings call their forthcoming second studio album "Kunst". The band announce it when interviewed by NME for its Albums of 2010 issue, which hits newsstands across the U.K. on January 13.

ABC Renews 'Modern Family', Not Sure About 'Scrubs'

ABC is putting a strong faith in its Wednesday comedies line-up. The network announced during its winter Television Critics Association panel Tuesday, January 12 morning that it has renewed newbies "Modern Family", "Cougar Town" and "The Middle" for a second season.
