David Cook to Be Featured on New 'American Idol' Promo

There will be a promotional TV spot for the new season of popular singing talent show "American Idol" that features seventh season champion, David Cook. The rocker has filmed the first promo that put a previous season's winner in the footage, TV Week revealed.

Fox marketing chief Joe Earley told the publication that the ad begins with the singer about to go on-stage to perform his new single, "Light On". Images of his post-Idol life where he deals with paparazzi, goes to parties, and rides on limos will be played afterward. He is then seen lying on a bed, recalling the days he was struggling to get into the competition. Next, his quest on the show, including his glory on stage, and judge Paula Abdul asking him, "Are you the next 'American Idol'?" are played before he steps on stage to start singing.

Charlie Pace, Dr. Christian Shephard, and Claire Littleton May Return to 'Lost'

Welcoming the January premiere of "Lost" season five, the ABC's drama series will probably pick up some characters from the previous season to make another appearance. As reported by E! Online, John Terry, Dominic Monaghan, and Emilie de Ravin are the actors and actress who will likely be making another appearance on the series' upcoming season.

"Lost" creator and executive producer, Damon Lindelof, has made a statement that John Terry, who play Dr. Christian Shephard, may reappear on the series. "John Terry is gonna be in the show this season, but he was definitely nowhere near Hawaii when we shot that stuff," Lindelof confirmed Terry's return though denying that his character is the one seen in a recent promo.

Another "Cadillac Records" has made its way out. While the previous clips show either Jeffrey Wright's Muddy Waters, Columbus Short's Little Walter or Mos Def's Chuck Berry, this clip focuses merely on Beyonce Knowles' character, Etta James.

Taking nearly 3 minutes to be watched, it highlights on the moment James is challenged by Adrien Brody's Leonard Chess to sing her Church Bells track, saying she is not woman enough for the song and asking her whether she knows about being in love. Taking the bait, James who is about to leave the recording studio steps back in front of the mic and sings the song whole-heartedly.

Robert Pattinson Named Rolling Stone's Hot Actor of the Year

"Twilight" leading actor Robert Pattinson earns one more accolade as Rolling Stone magazine has just named him Hot Actor of the Year. Showing off his 'hotness', he is photographed for the publication's Hot List laying on what looks like floor, wearing a white undershirt and puffing away a cigarette.

Speaking of his fame after playing the role of Edward Cullen in vampire flick "Twilight", Robert shares to Rolling Stone, "Twilight is a metaphor for the virtues of chastity, but it's had the opposite effect." The 22-year-old British actor continues sharing his odd experience with fans, stating, "I get letters that say, 'I'm going to kill myself if you don't watch High School Musical 2 with me.'" He additionally reveals, "A mother recently gave me her baby and asked, 'Can you please bite his head?'"

Russell Brand Wants to Duet With Jonas Brothers

During an interview with MTV, British comedian Russell Brand, who mocked Jonas Brothers over their stay-virgin vow at September-7 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, said that he wants to record a Christmas song with them. "I want to learn more about American cultural holidays ...and then perhaps [I'll record] a Christmas song with the Jonas Brothers," he answered when asked about his to-do list for 2009.

Russell stated, "I love them little guys. I've got nothing against the Jonas Brothers as a concept. I love the idea." On the interview, Russell also hinted his agreement if given a hosting job at 2009 MTV Video Music Awards. "There's been some chit-chat about that, yes," he shared.

Preview of 'Private Practice' 2.08: Crime and Punishment

In the next episode of "Private Practice", Addison will team up with Charlotte to save the lives of a pregnant woman in coma and her unborn child. "Crime and Punishment" which will air on December 3 also sees Pete's girlfriend, Meg, having a rift with members of the Oceanside staff when she begins seeing patients there. Things also got serious when Violet seeks Kevin's advice after a patient is suspected of murdering his wife.

Starting this week, Grant Show has begun his multi-episode arc cameo as Archer, the younger brother of Addison who creates quite a stir in the practice. He is also a surgeon, and E! said that his involvement in "Private Practice" may have something to do with the crossover between "Grey's Anatomy" and "Private Practice" that was reported earlier this month.

'Twilight' Director Catherine Hardwicke Potentially Returns for 'New Moon'

The development of "Twilight" sequel, "New Moon", is slowly taking shape. After "Twilight" screenwriter Melissa Rosenberg is signed to pen the sequel and Summit Entertainment officially give it the green light, Access Hollywood comes out with a news that the romantic vampire drama's helmer, Catherine Hardwicke, is in negotiations to direct the follow-up movie.

Though reporting on the speculation, Access Hollywood mentioned that the filmmaker has been avoiding on giving any clues on her return in earlier interview. When asked by USA Today about her future plans for Taylor Launter, the actor who plays Jacob Black, Hardwicke said, "I've got this to say about Taylor. He told me the other day that he had gained 14 pounds since I last saw him. He's only 16. I think he's chanting to make himself grow."

Guns N' Roses 'Clean Up the Mess' With Dr Pepper

Lawyer for Guns N' Roses and Axl Rose, Alan Gutman, has written to Dr Pepper Snapple Group Inc. CEO Larry Young to "clean the mess." Accusing the company for running a scheme that was "unmitigated disaster which defrauded customers," the band blast Dr Pepper for failing to deliver free soft drinks on the day "Chinese Democracy" hit the market on November 23.

Furthermore, on the letter the rockers also ask Dr Pepper to provide extra days for their one-day offer. On top of that, they also require a written full-page apology in the New York Times, Los Angeles Times, USA Today, and The Wall Street Journal for the inconvenience.

No Talks Yet Among Marvel Writers, Said 'Iron Man 2' Writer

With Marvel planning on putting together some of its superheroes in one movie, "The Avengers", many wonder whether the writers for the individual superhero films, including "Iron Man 2", "The First Avenger: Captain America" and "Thor", have started a discussion to make all the story connected. "Iron Man 2" screenwriter Justin Theroux has revealed to MTV News that they have yet to open any talks regarding the matter.

"You know, there's NO dialogue right now - in a great way," the "Tropic Thunder" co-scripter shared, adding, "I think [Marvel Studios President] Kevin Feige just wants to make sure we can make the best movie that we can make." He further added that the studio have yet to force him to make the stories connected. He insisted, "No, not yet. But that being said, Kevin is in all the meetings for all the movies, and is the sort of connective tissue - the neurons if you will - running between the meetings. Making sure all the things can be connected."
