In a "Tentative Statement of Decision" released Monday, September 29, San Francisco County Superior Court Judge Anne-Christine Massullo turned down Sharon Stone's attempt to modify custody of her adopted son Roan, citing her "overreacting to many medical issues involving" the young boy as the reason. It was reported earlier that the actress sought to have Roan moved from Marin County in Northern California, where he lives with his father, Phil Bronstein, to live with her in L.A.

Court documents outlining Stone's ongoing battle with then husband Phil reveal the actress once wanted Roan to have Botox injections in his feet to resolve a problem he had with foot odor. It, moreover, also stated that Stone also alleged "Roan had a spinal condition" whereas "there was no evidence to support this allegation."

Sarah McLachlan has performed "Don't Give Up on Us", one of the new songs in her upcoming greatest hits album "Closer-The Best of Sarah McLachlan" which is due October 7. After giving introduction of what the song means, Sarah turns to her piano to perform the acoustic version of the song.

"Don't Give Up on Us" is inspired by her recent split from husband of 11 years, Ashwin Sood. According to Sarah it is "pretty self-explanatory, basically just a plea to give it another chance and keep trying." The other new material in the compilation, "U Want Me 2" is also derived from the painful experience, telling how at the end of relationship there's a lot of anger and sadness.

Turning 16 years old on September 16, 2008, Nick Jonas has been spotted behind the wheel of a vintage 1968 Ford Mustang Cobra, driving the black vehicle in his Toluca Lake neighborhood Monday, September 29. He was joined by his bodyguard Big Rob, who was seen sitting on the passenger seat.

Enjoying a leisure ride with the classic car, Nick was spotted wearing a white v-neck t-shirt with khaki trousers. He paired his outfits with a pair of white Converse All-Stars shoes. The 20th Century Fox have let out a number of production photos from the up and coming "Max Payne". Posted by CanMag, the pictures still put the highlight on Mark Wahlberg's titular character like the previously released photos, though this time, some of the images present him without the guns. One of the 'no gun' pics displays Payne standing on top of a ruined wall, while the other shows him examining what seems to be the new drug called Valkyr.

Starring "The Departed" star Wahlberg, "Payne" is an action film from the 20th Century Fox about a maverick NYPD detective whose family and partner are killed in a brutal murder. Years later, when coming across similar murder case, he is determined to uncover those behind it. Fueled with revenge, his investigation forces him to face enemies from the dark underworld. The flick is penned by Beau Thorne and features also the likes of Mila Kunis, Chris O'Donnell, Beau Bridges and Ludacris among others. It will be opened in theaters on October 17.

On the trail of his successful debut album "Undiscovered", James Morrison is back with his self-explanatory sophomore effort titled "Songs for You, Truths for Me" which was released on September 30. A brand new webisode featuring James and several audio streams from the new album have been given as promotional efforts.

Two of Morrison's tracks from the new album can be heard in sample on the streams below. "You Make It Real" is the first single from the album which has been released in September, while the more upbeat "Nothing Ever Hurt Like You" is slated to be the second single. The webisodes which can be seen here sees James talking about his new effort and how this time it's different.

Promotional video of "House M.D." next episode has been released. Focusing on the time when House finds out that his father has passed away, the footage shows glimpses on how his diagnostic team and friends try to make reluctant House coming to his grieving mother's aid and console her. Joined by Wilson, House finally gets in the car and embarks on a journey home without losing his sarcastic side at all.

Aside from dealing with his father's death, in the fourth episode of the fifth season called "Birthmarks", House will be faced with another mysterious case. Away from his team because he has to attend his father funeral, he must help his team on making the differential diagnosis on a young Chinese woman who collapsed while searching for her birth parents. This episode will not be aired until October 14.

Speculation is mounting that Heather Locklear and her actor boyfriend Jack Wagner are engaged to be married after pictures of her DUI arrest over the weekend appeared online and showed her wearing a ring on her engagement finger. She was snapped wearing the bling, looks like a diamond engagement ring, on her left hand.

Heather was arrested Saturday evening, September 27 in Santa Barbara County, Calif. on suspicion of driving under the influence after a resident called 911 and reported seeing her leaving a parking lot and "driving erratically." Taken to a local California Highway Patrol station for drug and alcohol tests, the results indicated the actress wasn't under the influence of alcohol, but prescription medication. She was released from jail later that day after posting $5,000 bail.

Jay-Z, according to some reports circulating this week, will release his new album "The Blueprint 3" on December 2. If the date contains some truth in it, then it makes December officially the month of Hip-Hop for big icons from the genre such as 50 Cent, Dr. Dre and Eminem will all release their records in the same month.

An alleged tracklist of Jay-Z's effort even made it out but an executive close to the rapper said that none of them will make the final cut except for "Swagga Like Us" remix and the first official single "Jockin' Jay-Z". The remix of "Swagga" will feature Nas, Andre Benjamin, and Young Jeezy.

Ne-Yo is gearing up to share parts of his life with his fans through a semi-autobiographical movie. Calling the project "Venice Beach", the R 'n' B star opened up about his plan to Rap-Up's Jessica Washington saying, "We are putting together the next [film] right now as we speak, as a matter of fact."

On what the film is all about, the 28-year-old described it to be his version of Eminem's "8 Mile" explaining further that this flick would be loosely based on his life. "The name of the movie is Venice Beach and basically it's going to be my 8 Mile," the singer explained, "loosely based on [my] life, but not really."

Deciding to get away from their hectic schedule for a break, Lindsay Lohan and her rumored lesbian lover Samantha Ronson are spotted stripping down to their bikinis and soaking up some rays on a Mexican beach as part of their south-of-the-border vacation. The alleged lovers were seen taking to the beach for two days in a row, Monday and Tuesday, September 29 and 30.

During their first beach excursion, Lindsay wore a blue bikini, while Samantha wore a pink one. They were photographed laying out on beach chairs while taking intermittent breaks to cool off in the water.

In a surprising twist to some, TV personality Kim Kardashian has been eliminated from season 7 of "Dancing with the Stars". After a "colder and more distant than Siberia" rumba performance on Monday, September 29, the 27-year-old could not avoid on being sent home on Tuesday, September 30. She becomes the third participant to exit the show after the reality series' premiere last Monday, September 22.

Though her departure is a shocker to some since many predicted that Cloris Leachman or Rocco DiSpirito would have to be cut off first, the Hollywood socialite took the elimination positively. Paying tribute to her late father, Robert Kardashian, on her parting words, she said, "I just know he's really happy and watching over me and I know he's really proud." To E! Online, the reality TV star also added, "This was a huge challenge for me. Every dance was a huge accomplishment for me and I did the best I could. And this was the best experience of my life."

The end of this year may witness the releases from big artists in the Hip-Hop realm. Eminem, according to some reports will drop his highly-anticipated album since 2004's "Encore" in relatively the same time when 50 Cent and Dr. Dre release their own efforts.

Former G-Unit affiliate Sha Money XL said on his blog that Eminem's record will be called "The Empack" and that it will come before year 2009. At the same time he announced that 50 will release his "Before I Self Destruct" and Dr. Dre will drop his long-delayed album "Detox". All albums are backed up by Interscope Records and the first release is slated to arrive in the second week of 2008. In that case, 50's LP which is scheduled to arrive on December 9, is expected to be the first.

The third child of actor Mark Wahlberg and his model girlfriend Rhea Durham has been born on September 16, 2008, but it wasn't until recently that the baby's name is revealed, with a source in the know claimed the baby boy is named Brendan Joseph. No official statement just yet from Mark and his people.

Mark and Rhea have been dating since 2001. She gave birth to Brendan in Los Angeles and he weighed in at 7 pounds, 10 ounces at time of birth. In addition to him, Mark and Rhea are also parents to son Michael and daughter Ella Rae. Having been together for years and had three children together, Mark previously stated he and Rhea are planning to tie the knot in an intimate wedding ceremony in the summer of 2009.

Lionsgate Films have brought forward another batch of movie stills from their forthcoming "Saw V". Revealing several characters struggling to survive from the deathly traps they are in, the new pictures share out more hints into the horror thriller about serial murderer with twisted motive. One of the fresh photos also hints at Jigsaw lying in his dying bed watched by Agent Strahm from a distance.

The fifth installment of the popular "Saw" franchise, "Saw V" is said to be following Hoffman, who looks like to be the last person alive to carry on Jigsaw legacy on making others grateful of their lives by putting them in lethal traps. But when his secret is threatened, Hoffman is forced to go on the hunt to eliminate all loose ends. It stars Costas Mandylor, Scott Patterson, Tobin Bell, Meagan Good, Julie Benz and others. Directed by David Hackl and penned by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, it is due October 24.

Janet Jackson has been discharged from the hospital, just two hours after she was admitted on Monday, September 29, the day she was supposed to hold a concert in Montreal. Recuperating from the illness which has not been disclosed, she has canceled two more shows that are scheduled for this week.

The show in Boston tonight (October 1) is scrapped, so is the next day's gig in Philadelphia. No new dates have been introduced for the postponed shows but it is known that she will resume the performing duty as part of "Rock Witchu" tour on Saturday, October 4 when she is scheduled to appear in Greensboro, N.C.

Rumored to have dated her "Camp Rock" co-star Joe, Demi insisted that despite playing lovers on-screen she and Joe are tour mates and friends. "Joe and I never dated. We're really good friends," she told Entertainment Weekly. "I just think it's funny that people try to pin me to them. It's like, Oh, come on! I think [if I were going to], I would have dated one of them by now!" she continued saying referring to the Jonas Brothers.

Following season 2 premiere of "Chuck" on Monday, September 29, NBC have previewed the next episode of the action comedy show and the video promo is now available for fans' enjoyment. Revealing the guest-starring of Emmy Award winner John Larroquette as the charming spy Roan Montgomery, the snippet let out that Chuck will be getting a lesson in love and that he has to flirt for the success of his new mission.

In the new episode entitled "Chuck Versus The Seduction", the twenty-something computer expert-turned-government asset is faced with the fact that he has to go undercover and seduce a woman named Sasha in order to steal the Cipher back. Under the guidance of his new mentor, former spy Roan Montgomery, he gets the Cipher. Still, his effort seems to be useless as Sarah and Casey are held hostage by Sasha.

The next episode of "Heroes" will be injected with more surprises regarding changes on the nature of the characters. Peter from the future visits the present one and urges him to use a powerful but dangerous ability in order to save the world in episode "I Am Become Death".

Present Peter is also threatened at gunpoint by the future Claire and also had strange encounter with Sylar. After revealed in the two-hour season premiere that Sylar is the biological son of Angela, which means that he is also a Petrelli, Sylar changes from a villain to soft-hearted man who regards Peter's presence as a brother.

Former lovers Salma Hayek and Francois-Henri Pinault have sparked rumors of a rekindled romance after they were seen getting cozy together at the Balenciaga runway show as part of Paris Fashion Week earlier Tuesday, September 30. The twosome, wore a matching black outfits, "weren't holding hands but were definitely side by side," one attendee testified. "[They were] very friendly together, looking happy."

While many are still busy speculating on the return of Christopher Nolan to the sequel installment of "The Dark Knight" and on the possible villains, recent words from "Batman 3" suggested that the next Batman film may be heading into its pre-production in early 2009. According to Batman on Film, an inside source has mentioned that the filming is slated to begin in summer 2009 in Chicago.

Batman on Film further revealed the possible pre-production date, putting it in February 2009 slate. Quoting a behind the scenes source on the rumor, the fansite also wrote down the insider's revelation, "[What I'm hearing from crew members out of Chicago] is that 'BATMAN 3' goes into pre-production in February to shoot next summer."

Another preview for "Gossip Girl" 2.06 is released, showing longer sequences of the conflicts each of the characters is facing. Blair is surprised to find Serena coming out of the office for a try out at Yale, the university she's been dreaming of attending. Serena at ease tells Blair, "Who doesn't like a surprise?".

The next episode which is titled "New Haven Can Wait", will see a catfight between Blair and Serena, the former who initiated it by throwing an object on the back of the latter's head. Meanwhile, Nate is involved in a bar brawl and shirtless Dan learns the hard way of befriending Chuck. The cynical and morally bankrupt character will be abducted by members of Skull and Bones.

Reportedly inspired by the six IMAX sequences of "The Dark Knight" from director Christopher Nolan, director Michael Bay will also take advantage of the IMAX technology for the highly anticipated "Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen". In a press release put out on Tuesday, September 30, it is revealed that the filmmaker will be shooting key sequences of the sequel using IMAX camera.

Earlier, Variety mentioned that there will be at least three action set-pieces from the action fantasy film that will use the advanced technology. In addition, Bay through the press release expressed his excitement over the IMAX footage the movie will be having. "The extraordinary level of detail and intensity captured by the IMAX camera creates many exciting possibilities for us with this film," he said. "IMAX's all-encompassing format will take this story to a new level, and I am once again very excited to share The IMAX Experience with Transformers fans around the world."

Socialite turns singer Paris Hilton has released her brand new single "My BFF" which is the shortened title to her new reality show, "Paris Hilton's My New BFF". The electro pop song that will become the show's theme song, was debuted alongside the show's premiere on MTV yesterday, September 30.
The song is co-written by Hilton herself and her lover, cBenji who is also the member of Good Charlotte. It is reportedly also made the first single of her sophomore album which release date is not confirmed yet.

The reality show sees Hilton searching for a best friend who can keep up with her high lifestyle, be hot and most importantly, be loyal to her. The challenges include a range of activities such as looking hot on a rollercoaster and dealing with lost luggage. It has been set to air for 10 episodes where each week, one from the total of 18 participants will be dismissed with the catchphrase "Talk To You Never".

Despite her young age, Vanessa Hudgens apparently knows how to spend her money, buying a house in Studio City, California which reportedly is worth $2.75 million. She is claimed closing the deal for the 6 bedroom, 6.5 bathroom old-world Tuscan style house in early September 2008.

The house is the first ever that Vanessa has bought. Its size is 5,200 sq ft. "This is a spectacular old-world Tuscan, architectural manor with Moroccan influences and city light views," the description of the property read. Details of "Twilight" soundtrack are starting to take its shape with Perry Farrell revealing his involvement in the OST project. Weeks after Paramore announced that they have been booked to write songs for the soundtrack, the former Jane's Addiction frontman opened up to MTV that he has written a song for the vampire romance flick entitled "Go All the Way".

Though details on the song still remain vague, the track, which is described to be described as a "tumultuous" mix of dance, rock and alternative music styles, has been said to be overheard in a crucial scene of the film. About the special song, Farrell explained, "The song conjures up that adolescent feeling when a young man, who has been pursuing a girl he really likes, finally gets her. It's about the intense emotions when they go all the way."

To benefit the Presidential campaign of nominee Barack Obama, two lauded musicians will join forces in a single concert. Bruce Springsteen aka The Boss and Billy Joel aka the Piano Man will hop on one stage for the first time ever next month in the bid to raise money for the Democratic candidate.

The concert is scheduled to take place on October 16 at Hammerstein Ballroom. A day before that Obama will conclude his debate with senator John McCain at Hofstra University in Hempstead, N.Y. Obama reportedly will also attend the show but will pay less for the tickets.

Being pronounced free from cancer, Christina Applegate is opening up about her struggle with breasts cancer she's been diagnosed with in early August this year, saying she posed for a nude photo shoot before having mastectomy. Sharing her ordeal in a recent interview with "The Oprah Winfrey Show", she said she did it in order to have a memory of her breasts.

Recalling the day she did the nude photo shoot, which was emotional and private, she told Oprah Winfrey, "I did my first and last nudie photo shoot at home." She went on saying, "I made sure that I have close-up photographs of them from every angle, so I can kind of remember them."

Kirsten Dunst is up for another installment of the web-slinging superhero movie, "Spider-Man 4". When asked by MTV News on her involvement in the new project after director Sam Raimi and co-star Tobey Maguire reportedly have signed on, the "How to Lose Friends & Alienate People" star said simply, "I'm in."

Despite hinting her return to her Mary Jane Watson role, the 26-year-old, who slightly opened up about "Spider-Man 4" while promoting her forthcoming film project "How to Lose Friends", refused to give out further confirmation on the matter. She dodged the request to officially announce her involvement in the project saying, "I'm not saying anything, I know there's rumors..."
