"After.Life" is a horror movie which chronicles a young woman in a transitional state between life and death who fights to avoid being buried alive while also concerns a funeral director who holds her fate in his hands. The film will reportedly begin its shooting sessions on November 10 in the Big Apple. Unfortunately, no word yet on when the movie will make its theater debut.

With the success of "Iron Man" in taking more than half a billion dollars at the box office, Paramount Pictures are taking steps to distribute the sequel to it and other similar movies. The studio have signed a deal with Marvel Entertainment for the right to produce several movie adaptations from Marvel Comics.

Having a prominent name in country music industry, Kenny Chesney is venturing into beverage business, developing a new premium rum. He's teaming up with drinks company Constellation Spirits to develop the beverage and will as well be involved in its advertising and product placing.

"As an entertainer, my goal is to create an enjoyable experience for people," Chesney said on what prompted him to launch the new rum. "I'm going to take that same approach in developing a high-quality rum product with Constellation. We're looking to create a fun-in-the-sun, vacation-in-a-bottle type experience that people everywhere can enjoy when they kick back and relax."

A sequel to 1982 "Blade Runner" has become talk of the town after SlashFilm reported that the two writers of this week's Box Office champion "Eagle Eye" are working on it. In an updated report, one of the mentioned writers, John Glenn clarifies that he is no longer involved in the project and apologizes for the confusion that his ex writing partner Travis Wright has created regarding the sequel.

In a Q&A session hosted by Creative Screenwriting event, Wright said that he and Glenn have been working on various treatments for a Blade Runner sequel over the last couple years. It was also claimed that producer Bud Yorkin is on board although no talks of the sequel being developed by a studio has been outed.

A music video to promote "Quantum of Solace" soundtrack entitled "Another Way to Die", which is performed by Alicia Keys and Jack White, has been premiered. The video starts with a dark scene with nothing appears except for several flashes of a not-quite-clear gentleman in suit playing guitar and a lady holding a microphone.

As the video progresses, a silhouette of a curvy woman is shown at the end of a tunnel. The man and the woman then turn into Alicia and Jack. While Alicia is seen playing piano, Jack is busy beating his drums and the two take turn on singing the tune, which has been released on September 19.

Refusing to confirm their much reported romance, Lauren Conrad and Kyle Howard apparently simply let their public display of affection (PDA) do the talking as they've been spotted kissing all night during an outing at Teddy's. Still neither of them has come out of the closet about their love relationship though.

Hollywood actor Kevin Costner is confirmed to release a country music album with his band, Modern West. The album features 12 new songs, half of which are co-written by Kevin himself. The record will reportedly hit the market on November 11 but no word is available about the album's title.

Joely Fisher and her husband Christopher Duddy have adopted a baby girl, People reports. The infant, named Olivia Luna Fisher-Duddy, was born recently. She weighed 7.5 lbs., and was 19.5 inches long. Other details on her are being kept under wrap out of respect for her biological mother.

Fisher's rep, Brit Reece, confirmed the adoption, telling People the actress, Duddy, and their children "are all blissfully happy and enjoying" the new addition to the family. Olivia joins sisters Skylar Grace, 7, and True Harlow, 2, as well as Duddy's two sons from a previous marriage, Cameron, 22, and Collin, 20.

A source close to Britney Spears has put to rest the false persistent rumors about a sex tape that features her and ex-boyfriend Adnan Ghalib. And while the singer's legal team has yet issued a single comment on that matter, the source insisted report on the existence of the tape is "completely false."

British-based Heat magazine reported earlier Monday, September 29 that Adnan, a photographer, has confirmed he has a sex tape of him and Britney. He told the magazine he's planning to sell the tape to the highest bidder, saying "There is such a tape, but I won't discuss prices for hypothetical inquiries. Unless there is a locked-in deal, I will go no further. I am not interested in selling out any other details about Britney."

The trailer to "Filth and Wisdom" has been released, introducing some of the characters involved in the movie. The drama comedy is the directorial debut of pop queen Madonna that has received mixed reviews when it was premiered at Berlin International Film Festival on February 13, 2008.

Chris Cornell, who has become a household name from his success in Soundgarden and Audioslave, has teamed up with top-notched producer Timbaland for the rocker's third solo album. Called "Scream", the record is described by Timbaland as "the best work" that he has done in his career. It is tentatively scheduled for release in November through Suretone/Mosley Music and Interscope Records.

In an attempt to support the upcoming effort, Chris and Timbaland are set to kick off a string of eight live shows on October 17. "Scream" will be performed in its entirety to mimic the experience of listening to the LP from start to finish.

DJ AM made his first ever public appearance since being involved in a deadly plane crash that happened on September 19, showing up for the funeral of Chris Baker, who served as an assistant to Travis Barker for several years and was a close friend to both musicians. Wearing a green polo shirt, as requested by Baker's wife, Otillia Villar, AM was spotted sporting a bandage on the right side of his neck, oversized sunglasses and with little visible damage to his face.

AM arrived at the memorial service, held at Forest Lawn Memorial Park in Hollywood Monday, September 29, via limo. There were 300 other people turning up to the event, which lasted for about two hours, to honor Chris. He is survived by wife, Otillia, and 2-year-old son, Sebastian.

ABC is getting ready for the release of its new series, "Life on Mars" which will hit the small screens on October 9 with the release of the show's promotional video. Girl group Clique Girlz from Egg Harbor Township, New Jersey, that are comprised of sisters Paris and Destinee Monroe and their best friend Ariel Moore, have filmed a music video for their latest single, "Then I Woke Up". Written by John Shanks and Kara DioGuardi, the song will appear in the girls' debut album, "Not Too Young" and in promotion of the upcoming effort, a mini album has been released for sale at Wal-Mart in April.

The concept of their music video in support of the new tune is said to depict the girls as three ordinary girls with their normal lives. Furthermore, the video will feature them, singing the song in a classic convertible. It then continues with a scene where they are seen walking proudly on the red carpet for an event while strutting their stuff. The video ends with all the girls having fun in a party live performance.

Good news comes from Travis Barker as he is reported to have been discharged from hospital following a deadly plane crash last Friday, September 19 and is heading for Los Angeles. His ex-wife Shanna Moakler, who is staying with him during his hospital stay, is sticking by him.

Travis, as confirmed by hospital spokeswoman Beth Frits, was released from the Joseph M. Still Burn Center at Doctors Hospital in Augusta at 10 A.M. Monday, September 29, "in good condition." According to a source in the know, the drummer is heading for Los Angeles in bus.

Teenage heartthrob Jesse McCartney is turning his back on singing to invade the small screen, joining the cast of ABC Family's comedy drama "Greek." Entertainment Weekly reported Monday, September 29 that the singer will star in the series for its mid-season return in spring 2009.

McCartney reportedly will portray the role of Andy, a high school friend of Calvin, Paul James' character, who fuels a rivalry between the Kappa Tau and Omega Chi houses when he proves to be an in-demand pledge. Actor Ken Marino is also set to guest star in the mid-season premiere as a fellow summer camp counselor with Rusty, played by Jacob Zachar.

Led Zeppelin's lead vocalist Robert Plant has slammed recent rumor claiming that he has agreed to do a roadshow with the band. A statement issued on his official website has made clear that the rumor is not true saying, "Contrary to a spate of recent reports, Robert Plant will not be touring or recording with Led Zeppelin. Anyone buying tickets online to any such event will be buying bogus tickets."

Further, Robert explains that he is now in the middle of touring with country musician Alison Krauss " in support of their duet album called "Raising Sand", which has been honored as Album of the Year at Americana Music Association's 7th Annual Honors & Awards show at Nashville's Ryman Auditorium on September 18. After those dates, he is said to have "no intention whatsoever of touring with anyone for at least the next two years."
