Presenting their latest novel adaptation for television series, HBO rolled down a blood red carpet in front of The Cinerama Dome in Hollywood to celebrate the L.A. premiere of "True Blood". The special first screening event was held on Wednesday, September 4, three days before the series will be aired for the first time on September 7.

The evening celebration saw mostly the stars of the series that include Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Alexander Skarsgard, Ryan Kwanten, Jim Parrack, Sam Trammell and Rutina Wesley. Aside from the stars, series creator Alan Ball and Southern Vampire Mysteries books author Charlaine Harris were also in attendance.

Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush have been dating for months, but the socialite admits that she's in no rush to wed him, nor does she want to have kids with him for the time being. Being asked by Hollyscoop on both issues, the beauty claimed she and Reggie won't wed anytime soon and they would have kids only after marriage.

"Not right now," so she said on the red carpet Wednesday night, September 3 at the 944 magazine's two year anniversary party about a possible wedding in the near future. "I'm just gonna focus on 'Dancing with the Stars' and 'Keeping Up with the Kardashians' and he's just gonna focus on his season."

Another batch of presenters are announced in anticipation of the upcoming Primetime Emmy Awards. Among the new names lined-up for the TV appreciation event are "My Own Worst Enemy" star Christian Slater, TV host Conan O'Brien, and Kate Walsh of "Private Practice".

On top of all the names mentioned, there will also be paired appearances by comedians Kathy Griffin and Don Rickles as well as TV stars Neil Patrick Harris and Kristin Chenoweth. The latter couple had been tapped to announce the nominees of the awards back in July.

Drama thriller "Edge of Darkness" has just lost one of its star players with Robert De Niro's departure. The 65-year-old bailed out from the adaptation movie days after he arrives on the set in Massachusetts due to creative differences. On his sudden change of heart, his spokesman explained, "Sometimes things don't work out; it's called creative differences."

In the movie, De Niro has actually been signed to portray CIA officer Darius Jedburgh who is sent to clean up the evidence in the murder of a young woman. Because principal photography has been started since August 18, director Martin Campbell will have to settle with the shooting around De Niro's character until the filmmakers find his replacement.

It's a second "fan-throwing" scandal for Akon when he was caught on tape throwing two female concertgoers at a show. The incident happened during a packed show in Guyana, South America on Saturday, August 30.

The R'n'B artist was videotaped performing on stage in a black t-shirt and dark-colored jeans. Enthusiastically asking concertgoers to follow in his move, he even danced with one of his male fans onstage.

Picturehouse Entertainment have thrown a premiere for their latest comedy movie, "The Women", at Mann Village Theater, Los Angeles on Wednesday, September 4. Like the movie which is flooded with amazing all-girl cast ensemble, the special event was dominated with women from director/writer Diane English to "American Pie" actress Tara Reid.

The red carpet event was attended by most of A-listers who star in the remake film, including Meg Ryan, Debra Messing, Eva Mendes, Jada Pinkett Smith, Annette Bening, Candice Bergen, Cloris Leachman and Debi Mazar. Aside from those actresses, "All About Eve" actress Celeste Holm and "Ugly Betty" villain Vanessa Williams were also seen strolling down the red carpet.

Just a year after announcing the plan to enter recording room with Tyrese Gibson and Tank, multi-platinum R&B singer Ginuwine confirms that the collaboration effort of his super group TGT is shelved. He says that the pulling-off happens because there have been internal issues that prevent the album from being released. "Due to label and legal issues we will not be able to release an official TGT album," he says.

Furthermore, Ginuwine states that each member of the band will individually release a solo album. He continues as saying, "However we did make some amazing music which will appear on each of our respective albums."

Much contrary to old claim, Britney Spears didn't lose her virginity to then boyfriend Justin Timberlake. In her new book, "Through the Storm: A Real Story of Fame and Family in a Tabloid World," her mother Lynne Spears set the record straight on that matter, claiming her celebrity daughter had sex for the first time with her eighteen-year-old high school sweetheart when she was just fourteen.

Dispelling the false circulating judgment concerning Britney's virginity, the elder Spears revealed in the tell-all tome that the high school sweetheart was a Kentwood, La., high school football player. Not disclosing that to public, Lynne claimed she went on allowing Britney to sleep with Justin and just went along with the hoax that her famous daughter was still virgin. She even wrote that Justin was misled when he publicly told reporters back in 2003 that Britney "lost her virginity a while ago - and I should know."

Kanye West may have an album in stores before the year ends, his management revealed. The fourth studio album is said to be released in December, the same time frame where Jay-Z will release his eleventh studio album "The Blueprint 3".

No title has been suggested yet for West's set, but it was hinted sometime ago that the rapper wanted to name it "Good Ass Job" as the continuation of his first three albums, "The College Dropout", "Late Registration" and "Graduation". The first single is also mentioned to be "Love Lockdown" that can hit "any minute now" according to DJ Semtex and will be added to the iTunes in a matter of days.

Words are directors Guillermo del Toro, Zack Snyder and Gore Verbinski are eyeing to participate in directing a new animation sci-fi fantasy project, "Heavy Metal". The possibility was broken out by Heavy Metal magazine publisher Kevin Eastman in an interview with rgbFILTER earlier, but confirmation on the matter has yet to be shared.

This feature film has had David Fincher and Eastman himself who are each attached to direct one of the eight or nine individual animated segments. Slated for 2010 release, the flick has been envisioned to be an adult-themed R-rated film with erotic and violent storylines and images which has been the trademark of Heavy Metal magazine.

Aside from the success of her latest TV project, CW's "90210", Jennie Garth finds out that not all is well in her life as her little daughter, Lola Ray, was diagnosed with arthritis earlier this year. Opening up about that in a new interview with People, she referred to the moment as "six months of hell."

"I had a sick daughter and then my father passed away, so there was a six month period in my life when I didn't think about my looks or my weight or my body or anything," so she explained to People for using such reference. Not knowing the disease Lola was suffering from, she found it even harder when after completing her stint on "Dancing with the Stars," Lola's condition got worse and she didn't even know what was wrong with the little girl.

"Ghostbusters 3" is most likely to be well on the way as Columbia Pictures have hired scribes for their newest comedy fantasy project. On Thursday, September 4, Variety reported that the production company have picked up "The Office" writers/co-executive producers, Lee Eisenberg and Gene Stupnitsky, to pen the script.

Reportedly, Eisenberg and Stupnitsky are expected to design the film to be a platform for the original cast, consisting of Harold Ramis, Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd and Ernie Hudson, to be teaming up once again as the ghost exterminators. The pair have recently collaborated with Ramis for his directed comedy "Year One" by providing the script.

Golden Globe Awards winning television show "The Closer" will have its spin-off in production. TNT have announced that they have ordered for a script for the spin-off which will be penned by the creator/executive producer James Duff.

In the new project, Duff will be assisted by co-executive producers Adam Belanoff and Michael Berchem. No clue yet as to which character from the cop drama series the spin-off will focus on, or whether it will chronicle only one or the whole cast altogether. According to Hollywood Reporter, industry insiders said that it may be titled "The Fixer".

Hip hop group N.E.R.D, who are comprised rappers Pharrell Williams, Chad Hugo, and Shay Haley, are scheduled to hit the road with rap peer Common. Called "Invincible Sounds of Summer", the gigs will be kicked off in Houston on September 9 and wrap up in Miami on October 10.

According to their promoter, in the tour, N.E.R.D will sing new tunes from their third and latest record, "Seeing Sounds", which has just been released in June. Meanwhile, Common is going to bring out his forthcoming "Invincible Summer", which has been pushed back from June 24 to September 22.

More details from the upcoming "G.I. Joe: Rise of Cobra" have been shared and this time it is about the meanest of the baddies, Cobra Commander. Providing more information about this character, producer Lorenzo di Bonaventura told MTV News that Destro's boss will be portrayed as an intricate character saying, "As we see it, he's a very twisted character. As the backstory evolves, you discover why his personality [is like that]."

Contrasting the masked character played by Joseph Gordon-Levitt with Heath Ledger's Joker, di Bonaventura noted that unlike Joker who takes control of his background, Cobra's past will be unveiled in the movie. "I thought what was great in 'The Dark Knight' was that Heath kept telling you different stories [about his past] so you never knew what it was, and they were all spooky and crazy," he said. "[In our film] you get to see it, and you get to understand what's happened to this guy."

Having the privilege of presenting many guest stars, NBC's "30 Rock" makes use of the "Gossip Girl" popularity by signing in two of its cast for a cameo. Blake Lively and Leighton Meester who play Serena van der Woodsen and Blair Waldorf respectively will appear on the comedy show as guest-stars.

Entertainment Weekly's Michael Ausiello revealed exclusively that both stars have closed the deal for a November episode. Roles that they will be playing are the high-school mates of Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) who will support the insight to Lemon's place in the community while a student.

Bay area rapper E-40 has just dropped a music video in support of his Akon-featuring single called "Wake It Up", which will appear in his upcoming twelfth major studio album called "The Ball Street Journal". The effort, which is produced by Lil Jon and Kanye West, is reportedly due to come out on October 28 under the courtesy of Columbia Records.

The music video for the tune has Akon and some beautiful young ladies as cameos. One of the girls is seen in yellow bikini, swimming in the beach, while the others are enjoying the company of E-40 in his luxurious mansion. On some scenes, the rapper is also captured rapping in an all-night outdoor party with the girls and some friends, enjoying the sea breeze.

A fresh clip from intense thriller "Eagle Eye" has been unearthed. The short new footage highlights on two major characters, Jerry Shaw played by Shia LaBeouf and Thomas Morgan portrayed by Billy Bob Thornton, in a scene where Shaw tries to explain to the authoritative figure that he has been framed as terrorist, but his effort is met with serious threats from Morgan.

Returning home after his successful twin brother is mysteriously dead, Shaw is greeted with a suspicion of him being a member of a cell plotting to assassinate a politician. Still, he is not alone. Rachel Holloman, a single mother, has also been pulled into the similar situation. Now, together, they must find a way to prove their innocence and uncover the identity of the woman who seems to know their every move.

Having been together for months, Jessica Simpson and Tony Romo spark rumors that they will soon walk down the aisle as they reportedly are moving in together. Wedding talks are mounting hot on the heels of reports that claim the pair have set their eyes on a six-bedroom, four-bath mansion in Irving, Texas that costs nearly $700,000 for them to live in together.

"Jess and Tony have been together since last Thanksgiving and they're ready to take their relationship to the next level ... Both of them agreed it was practical to move in together before a wedding so they can work out the kinks," the National Enquirer cited its insider as saying. "Jessica still has her home in Beverly Hills, but she plans to oversee the redecorating of Tony's house, and then settle into the role of homemaker when her concert tour ends in October."

The animated dysfunctional family series "The Simpsons" will be entering its 20th season and it will bring in Jodie Foster and Anne Hathaway as the guest voices. Entertainment Weekly's Hollywood Insider Blog revealed that Foster will be giving a voice to Maggie, while Hathaway is going to lend her voice to Bart's object of affection.

In the episode that is said to be scheduled for early 2009 broadcast, Foster gets the honor to voice the adult version of Maggie. The blog further suggested that Foster's episode may be entitled "Four Great Women & A Manicure" which "reimagines the worlds of Macbeth, The Fountainhead, Citizen Kane, and Queen Elizabeth I, with Springfield residents in key roles". Before Foster, Maggie was once voiced by Elizabeth Taylor.

Following the poor market share for her tenth major studio album "Discipline", Janet Jackson has reportedly questioned the capability of Def Jam Island Records and been reluctant to continue her deal with the recording company. In a conference call, Janet says, "I can't say if we'll be working with them in the future."

When asked whether it means that she will be leaving the label, Janet refuses to give an explanation. Instead of elaborating her statement, she says, "I don't know what the future holds between the two of us."

Anthony Edwards' character in "ER" may have been killed in the 179th episode, but it will be revived, not literally, but as a flashback. Playing Dr. Mark Greene, Edwards was one of the original cast that were introduced in the beginning of the series. Serving the purpose of its final season, NBC announced that Edwards is due to reprise his role in one episode which will be shot within next week.

NBC announced further on Thursday, September 4, that Greene will appear in the episode called "Heal Thyself" which is planned to air on November 13. Edwards will share some scenes with Angela Bassett who was introduced earlier as the new cast of "ER" for the 15th season as Dr. Cate Banfield.

The annual Vanity Fair's "100 Most Influential" list has been released and it surprisingly includes Hollywood celebrity couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie, both of whom are ranked the 9th. They join such luminaries, as former Vice President Al Gore and Apple CEO Steve Jobs at the top 10 of the rankings of the magazine's so-called "New Establishment."

People from different field of jobs, ranging from politicians to film director, are making the list. Winning the No. 1 spot on the list is Russian prime minister and former president Vladimir Putin, who's credited by Vanity Fair to have helped Russia "rebuild its military, restore its pride, and re-assert its place in world affairs."

Phedon Papamichael's thriller "From Within" has been announced to be the latest horror film selection to be included in After Dark Horrorfest III's line-up of the "8 Films to Die for". Outed on Wednesday, September 3, by After Dark Films' CEO Courtney Solomon, it will be joining the other previously-selected movies, "The Broken", "Slaughter (2009)", "Perkins 14" and "The Butterfly Effect: Revelation".

Sharing his excitement upon knowing that the film starring Elizabeth Rice, Thomas Dekker, Kelly Blatz, Laura Allen, Adam Goldberg and Rumer Willis has become the fifth film on the list, producer Adrian Butchart stated, "We've been fans of the After Dark Horrorfest '8 Films to Die For' series since it blasted onto the scene two years ago. We feel that we are in great company this year since the films look to be the best yet. We are delighted to have 'From Within' take part in the latest installment."

Despite his last year's vow saying that he would never perform at MTV Video Music Awards again after failing to win any prize, Kanye West has decided to end his brief beef with the music cable network and agreed to perform at the closing ceremony of this year's show. In a press conference held on Thursday, September 4, comedian and VMAs host Russell Brand says to the cameras that Kanye will have a super-sized performance of his own that is still kept for top secret.

Furthermore, regardless the rumor that her old rival Britney Spears may not sing at the show, Christina Aguilera is confirmed to make her first televised performance in the event since giving birth to baby boy Max in January. Speaking of the upcoming performance, Christina says that she will debut her new single called "Keep Getting Better" from her "Keeps Gettin' Better - A Decade of Hits", which will come out on November 11. "You're going to get a first look and a first listen at my new image and my new sound," Christina tells reporters. "The last album, the style and sound was about vintage gleam, this one is all about the future."

Signing on for their own Disney television series "J.O.N.A.S!", band of brothers Jonas Brothers are prepping themselves to start filing the project September later this year. Talking about the series in an interview with Ellegirl magazine, they address on such details, as the plot and their feeling on having the series in their pipeline.

Being asked by the magazine's Meredith Stebbins during an exclusive interview about what people can see on the "J.O.N.A.S!" show, Joe Jonas said the TV series will be about him and brothers Kevin Jonas and Nick Jonas "as a band but dealing with normal things like trying to take out the trash and not get hounded by fans." He went on adding, "It's going to be a funny show, and it's going to be a great cast."

The Weinstein Company comedy "Zack and Miri Make a Porno" has let out another preview inside the movie that collaborates filmmaker Kevin Smith and comedian Seth Rogen through a brand new trailer. While containing similar footages to previous red band trailer, this new video takes viewers to more refined conversations among the characters.

On other "Make a Porno" news, it has been reported that the new poster of the R-rated comedy has been banned by MPAA due to its sexual reference. Commenting on the banning of the poster which can be seen on the news photo, Smith told Entertainment Weekly, "When you've got the word 'porno' in the title, naturally, the marketing materials are gonna be scrutinized more closely by the MPAA. I understand they've got a job to do, but c'mon...this image isn't that dirty; they're both fully clad."
