Cat Power's New Album 'Jukebox', Not 'Covers 2'

Minimalist singer Cat Power has changed the name of her second cover album to 'Jukebox'. It was previously titled 'Covers 2'.

According to NME.com, the singer whose real name is Chan Marshall, will also include a new version of her song 'Metal Heart' that appeared on her fourth album 'Moon Pix' and the soundtrack of 1998 movie 'Desert Blue'.

New Mummy Behind-the-Scenes Clip Featuring Brendan Fraser

There's something new on Rob Cohen's official blog of his new project "The Mummy: Tomb of the Dragon Emperor." A fourth behind-the-scenes clip has been submitted on it featuring the flick's lead actor Brendan Fraser.

Created by Todd Grossman, the documentary filmmaker for the movie, the clip follows Fraser as he shot a scene during a rainy day in Montreal Canada and the process behind it. Despite the not-so-friendly weather, the actor carried out his task seriously, taking shots of what seemed to be a comedic sequence where he is trying to catch a fish.

Pretty Ricky Member Pleasure Is Replaced

While still enjoying the success of their second album, R&B group Pretty Ricky revealed a shocking announcement about member Pleasure. The singer, whose real name is Marcus Ramone Cooper, announced that he has severed ties with the band to go back as a solo artist.

Pleasure confirmed the departure on his MySpace, saying: "Hey y'all I want to address something to y'all. I Love each and everyone of my fans and I would never do anything to upset y'all and disappoint y'all. I want to apologize to all of my Baltimore fans."

Two New TV Spots for American Gangster

The promotional campaign for "American Gangster" has extended to the small screen. Two new TV spots for the action crime drama have smoothly been brought up and now are available for moviegoers to check out on the net also.

Both posted on iKlipz by TheMovieBox.net, the first TV spot seems to mostly center on Denzel Washington's character Frank Lucas while the second one gives more shots of Russell Crowe as Detective Richie Roberts, who attempts to bring down Lucas.

Hip Hop Star Common Launches Youth Foundation

Already having a full plate on his agenda, Common took time Tuesday October 9th to announce the launch of The Common Ground Foundation Inc., which is a San Francisco based global initiative aimed to help develop and empower urban youth via education.

The foundation, which came to fruition after several years of planning, will also support AIDS/HIV prevention programs targeting youth in American and African communities.

Chris Pine in Talks for Star Trek's Captain Kirk!

Seems Paramount is going on the fast track in constructing the lineup of "Star Trek" cast. Just hiring Eric Bana as villainous Nero, the studio is learned by The Hollywood Reporter to have already got into discussions with "Just My Luck" star Chris Pine for a possibility to give him the role of the USS Enterprise captain, James T. Kirk.

On the same time, Pine reportedly is also in talks to take part in Joe Carnahan-directed "White Jazz", which George Clooney is set to topline. The Los Angeles-born actor will likely be billed as Junior Stemmons, the partner of Clooney's character, should deals are struck.

Girls Aloud in Purple 'Call the Shots' Music Video Set

To anticipate the release of their fourth studio album, British group Girls Aloud shot the video of 'Call the Shots' in purple theme. It is their second video from the album 'Tangled Up' that is due November 19 in U.K.

The video shooting took place last week in Malibu, California with Sean de Sparengo (Take That) on the director seat. The set is on the beach at night where the girls wear short dresses and high heels.

Teaser Trailer for Hayden Christensen-Starred Jumper Leaps Online

Unveiling the first look of its upcoming flick "Jumper", the 20th Century Fox has submitted online a teaser trailer for the sci-fi thriller by now, inviting moviegoers to take their initial glimpse on the Doug Liman-directed piece, which Hayden Christensen is toplining.

Runs almost two and a half minutes, the trailer is placed on the movie's official site but now can also be viewed via YouTube as seen below. It looks awesome, presenting many shots of the jumpers doing their jumps as well as confrontation between them and their hunters, the Paladins.

P. Diddy Producing Tracks in Jay-Z's 'American Gangster'

Jay-Z has invited a group of press including MTV, Rolling Stone and Entertainment Weekly to preview his upcoming album 'American Gangster'. From the session that took place at Roc the Mike Studios in Manhattan, it is found that Jay-Z has let other musician to produce some of the tracks, and that person is P. Diddy.

It was just weeks ago when Diddy walked in to Jay-Z's studio with some materials. That day, Diddy didn't know that Jay was planning a concept album inspired by 'American Gangster' the movie. It was a coincident when the materials he brought have the '70s vibe that would suit the movie background well. "It fit the time period and everything," said Jay.

On her extended rehab stay Lindsay told Kate, "There is that urge to want to leave early, obviously, and be back in the real world. But it was safer at Cirque and I was learning more. I felt it was necessary, and other people I worked with felt that it was important."

Terminator 4 Finally Gets a Title and Distributor

Things seem to go well on the fourth installment of "Terminator" series. Not only it eventually gets a title of "Terminator Salvation", it also finds Warner Bros. Pictures as the distributor for North American regions.

Warner is reported to have the first right to negotiation for domestic theatrical and TV distribution rights since it served the the same task on the project's predecessor "Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines." Plans now are being made to start filming the movie in early 2008 for a summer 2009 release.
