Action Specialist Hired to Direct Street Fighter

Conducting a fundamental move in developing their film project of "Street Fighter", Hyde Park Entertainment and Capcom Ltd. have successfully got action specialist Andrzej Bartkowiak on board to direct the project, which will be the second effort in bringing up a live-action flick based on the popular video game after the 1994 movie.

Bartkowiak, a native of Lodz, Poland, has been known for his helming efforts in action genre, being the director of "Exit Wounds", "Cradle 2 the Grave", and "Doom", which was also adapted from the video game of the same name. During his early career in filmmaking, the man initially worked as a cinematographer whose credits include "Terms of Endearment", "Prizzi's Honor", "Speed", and "U.S. Marshals."

Batman to Face Three Villains Next?

With filming on "The Dark Knight" gets near to its completion, buzz now has begun on what characters that may or may not make their way to show up in the flick's follow-up, especially the villains.

A trusted source for CinemaBlend.com has brought in a scoop pointing out Heath Ledger could reprise his role as the Joker in the sequel with Two-Face as the main bad guy. More interestingly, the person further added that the villainous lineup "could also include a certain female feline as well", which can only mean that there is a possibility for moviegoers to see Catwoman in the future Batman movie.

As production is currently underway on new horror thriller "A Tale of Two Sisters", DreamWorks Pictures as the studio making the flick has finally brought up the first two images taken from the film on the net for moviegoers to take a look at.

Photo credit going to Kimberley French, both pictures feature young stars Emily Browning and Arielle Kebbel in their roles as the titular characters, the former playing Anna Rydell while the latter portraying her sister Alex.

Kanye West was one lucky winner at the 10th annual GQ Awards held Tuesday night September 4th at Covent Garden's Royal Opera House in London. The rap star was named International Man of the Year, had his award being handed by actress Rosario Dawson.

The GQ Awards, said to "have always been about honoring the most talented British men (and one Woman!) from politics to the press, sport to entertainment," was hosted by renowned music legend Sir Elton John.

No more rumors are needed for Led Zeppelin's reunion. The frontman Robert Plant has confirmed himself that it's indeed happening.

NME.com was contacted by a fan who happened to meet Plant on the singer's way to a 'meeting'. When asked about the reunion, Plant said, "How did you find out about this? Well we've got a band meeting about it this afternoon about it. There's not a lot to work out as it's only going to be one-off gig."

Faith Hill is gathering her biggest hits to be molded into one single CD simply called 'The Hits'. The album that is due October 2 via Warner Bros will also contain two new materials titled 'Red Umbrella' and 'Lost'.

The singer who married fellow country crooner Tim McGraw explained that her hits will be presented in a "newer, different versions". She said, "It's been difficult selecting the songs for 'The Hits. But when we decided to focus on what you'd want, the decisions became much clearer. We're planning on newer, different versions of some songs and we've got a few new surprises."

One more member of the band My Chemical Romance walks down the aisle. Gerard Way has married his girlfriend LynZ, the bassist for the band Mindless Self Indulgence, in a low key ceremony on Monday night September 3rd.

The nuptial reportedly took place backstage following the band performance at the Projekt Revolution concert at Coors Amphitheatre in Denver, Colorado to support band Linkin Park. The ceremony was overseen by an official from concert promoter Live Nation who also happened to be an ordained minister.

Vanessa Hudgens' 'Let's Dance' has been utilized as the promotional song of U.S. TV series Dancing with the Stars. The video, that combines Hudgens' performance and previous seasons of the show, is currently being played on ABC to promote the new season.

The clip contains the mixture of season 1 footage and Hudgens performing 'Let's Dance' on High School Musical: The Concert tour. Other tracks from her debut album 'V' have been used for theme songs in other shows too. A snippet music video for Gwen Stefani's new single 'Now That You Got It' was premiered on Tuesday, September 4 on MTV's Total Request Live. The clip includes a cameo by Damian Marley, son of legendary reggae singer Bob Marley, who appears in the hybrid remix of the song.

The clip was directed by Saline Project (Black Eyed Peas, The Cure, Daddy Yankee). It sees Gwen performing the song with Damian in front of a wall, and later on with Harajuku Girls who ride motorcycles. There are also scenes where Gwen and Damian play a board game.

Lots of Britney Spears songs have been leaked since the announcement of her album's release date. More than five new musics apart from the confirmed first single 'Gimme More' are available on file sharing websites.

Another one is 'Your..', an upbeat tune with electro pop vibe. Completing the starry cast lineup in "The Love Guru", Ben Kingsley, Meagan Good, and John Oliver have all given their commitment to take part in the Mike Myers-starrer comedy, which most recently signed pop star Justin Timberlake in.

Here Kingsley reportedly will fill in the role of Guru Tugginmypudha, the ashram leader who teaches Myers’ character how to love himself and how to wear a chastity belt. Good, in the meantime, is billed as Prudence, the estranged wife of Toronto Maple Leafs player Darren Roanoke who leaves him for his French-Canadian hockey nemesis, Jacques Grande, played by Timberlake.
