A New Business and Music Deals for Lil' Flip

Tired of being unlucky in his former label Sony Urban and being caught in a bad promotional project for the album "I need Mine", Lil' Flip has decided to change his recording home to Warner Bros.

The incident has been intrigued by the former unfortunate event in which Flip's songs that are supposed to be released March 27 were lost in the process. Total 19 out of 29 songs have come out in the Internet even before the official release date. In the end he had to re-record the album and maintain only 9 of them. Commented on this fraud he said, "I don't wanna say no names."

Edward R. Pressman and Stephen Belafonte Pray to "God"

Deciding to team up once again after "Thank You for Smoking", Edward R. Pressman and Stephen Belafonte will work hand in hand to develop a satire flick entitled "God Is My Broker", Variety has revealed.

Based on Christopher Buckley's novel of the same name of which film rights was acquired by Pressman's Edward R. Pressman Film Corp., the project, set on Wall Street and in a monastery, follows an alcoholic stockbroker as he flees to a monastery to only find monks who are turning their monastery into a corporation.

UK Single Chart Position for March 4, 2007

Success entails the reunion of Take That members as the single "Shine" illuminates brightly at the top position of UK Chart on March 4, 2007. It becomes the band's second #1 single from the album "Beautiful World" and consequently, the tenth in their entire music career as a band. With such record, the band breaks the tie to Spice Girls and ABBA that both hold 9 counts

Previously sitting at No. 10, the climb of "Shine" has replaced "Ruby" by Kaiser Chiefs that now positions itself at no. 2. Coming in at no. 3 is Gwen Stefani featuring Akon that rises steadily from no. 7 through the single "The Sweet Escape". Taking a little plunge from no. 2 to No. 4 is the newcomer Mika with his song "Grace Kelly".

Ben Kingsley and Penelope Cruz Write An "Elegy"

Coming together to share scenes as onscreen lovers, Ben Kingsley and Penelope Cruz have both agreed topline "Elegy", a dramatic feature of Lakeshore Entertainment production, Production Weekly has reported.

An adaptation of Philip Roth's short novel "The Dying Animal", the project will see Kingsley play an eminent TV culture critic and star lecturer at a New York college named David Kepesh who finds his life put into disorder upon meeting Consuela Castillo, set to be played by Cruz, a student in one of his courses. However, as he forms an erotic liaison with her, a maddening sexual possessiveness gradually transports him to the depths of deforming jealousy, threatening him to fall into his own destruction.

"Golden Army" Marching in May

Giving an update on his next starring vehicle of "Hellboy 2: The Golden Army", Ron Perlman has eagerly told the LA Daily News that director Guillermo del Toro has headed to Budapest to "zero in on the beginning of principal photography" and that production will begin around the end of May.

The actor also opened up an interesting tidbit that the flick will contain "an epic quality" even as it "continues to explore all the things that are great about this character - a superhero who is such an underachiever and such an adolescent." In addition, the "Blade II" star revealed that he now is busy doing exercises in order to fit himself into the suit he is about to don again for playing the titular character.

Maroon 5 Releases Album "It Won't Be Soon Before Long"

At the stake of gaining another popularity after the booming of "Songs About Jane" in 2002, Maroon 5 is answering the market demand for second album. Finally the much-anticipated record will be out on May 22 under the title "It Won't Be Soon Before Long".

Comprised of 12 pieces, the album adopts some of the vibes from the '80s musicians such as Michael Jackson and Prince, and therefore is claimed as 'sexier and stronger'. Upon the comparison to previous album, James Valentine the guitarist said, "It's like 'Songs About Jane,' but more danceable." He then added "the beats are definitely harder but there are also some mellow vibes."

Mel Gibson Eyes Filming Next Projects in Panama

Apparently looking forward to repeat his experience in filming "Apocalypto", Mel Gibson is in consideration to again head south to make his next directorial effort, this time in Panama, tourism officials claimed yesterday, March 5.

The Panama Tourism Bureau said in a news release that the Australian actor-director, accompanied by 24-year-old son Edward, had dinner on Sunday night, March 4, with tourism spokesman and singer Ruben Blades who advised him to do a remake of the 1950 film noir "Panic in the Streets" in the country.

Resting for 2 years since the platinum record "To the 5 Boroughs" (2004) proves to be a worthwhile break for the Beastie Boys. They finally are beaming to release the long awaited seventh album, are coined to appear in the upcoming Sasquatch! Music Festival, and also hit both Vienna festival and Bestival.

The band has given a little hint that the album will be out in summer this year. Though has not been named, during an interview with JAM! Music in 2006, the members of the band claimed it to be "the best they are working on" and "hot".

Gerard Butler Monitored By the "Watchmen"

Looks like the "300" duo will still stick to each other for one more highly anticipated project. IESB.net has successfully drawn out information from director Zack Snyder that Gerard Butler, who played King Leonidas in the epic flick, will have a starring part in his next project "Watchmen."

Though so, Snyder appears to keep the details for himself for now as he refused to give any hint about what role Butler would portray. The Wisconsin-born filmmaker, in the meantime, also pointed out that Tom Cruise might not take any role in the movie after all as many have speculated.

The man knows how to be the one in the right time and place. John Travolta made use the premiere of his new film "Wild Hogs" Friday night March 2nd to present a $15,000 donation to central Florida tornado victims.

Travolta presented a personal check for $15,000 to Lady Lake Mayor Max Pullen before a screening of the film that raised an additional $15,000 in donations. "These things happen in Florida and when they happen we all have to do something to help," the movie star said.

The Police, European Tour Next

The newly reunited three-piece rock band The Police can't seem to wait to hit the road sooner. After the planning of The Police Reunion Tour designed for May 28 until August 5, the band has recently confirmed the European Tour which will begin August 29 at the Globe Arena in Stockholm following sold out dates in North America.

The band will also play both indoors and outdoors in Germany, France, Holland, Austria, Spain, Italy, Belgium, Denmark and Switzerland with increasing list of venues to be announced. "The anticipation and excitement to see The Police is overwhelming. We are absolutely thrilled to be bringing the band to fans new and old," said Arthur Fogel, Live Nation Chairman of Global Music.

The celebration is not yet over for Elizabeth Hurley and her husband Arun Nayar. The newlyweds arrived in Mumbai, India, early Monday March 5th to kick off the next leg of their nuptial celebrations.

The couple, who married Friday March 2nd in a private civil ceremony at Sudeley Castle in Winchcombe, 125 miles west of London, has been tightlipped about their plans, but it is widely believed that the celebration will include a traditional "haldi" or turmeric ceremony, during which Hurley and Nayar are covered in a paste of turmeric, milk and cream to cleanse and beautify the couple.

Music Mogul P. Diddy Hit by Lawsuit, Again

Trouble has approached P. Diddy. The music mogul is facing a lawsuit brought by a man who claims the star punched him in the face outside a Hollywood nightclub last week.

In the lawsuit, filed Friday March 2nd in Los Angeles County Superior Court, Gerard Rechnitzer claims he and his girlfriend ran into Diddy at the club, Teddy's, inside the Roosevelt Hotel in the early morning hours of Feb. 25. Diddy was talking to Rechnitzer's girlfriend when Rechnitzer approached. Diddy then yelled at Rechnitzer "in a threatening and ominous matter."

A final batch of nominees for the 42nd Academy of Country Music Awards has been announced and surely this is the year for George Strait, Brooks & Dunn, Rascal Flatts and also Carrie Underwood.

Topping the number of nominations at eight counts, Strait who is known for his 'honky tonk' music is again predicted as the frontrunner for this awards show. NBA Superstar Shaquille O'Neal Plans Reality TV Weight Loss Show

When Shaquille O'Neal does something, he always does it in the biggest way possible. And in case of showing his deep concern toward overweight kids, the NBA superstar will be taking a shot at a TV reality show focused on childhood obesity and health.

The as-yet untitled six-episode series, to be screened by Disney-owned ABC this summer, will feature the Miami Heat star and his effort to help Florida schoolchildren lose weight. Being filmed in Broward County, Fla., the series will furthermore track the lives of the children involved. O'Neal will be on hand as booster and, in episodes yet to be shot, will lobby politicians on causes including school nutrition.

Though still no word yet on official cast lineup for "The Mummy 3" following the recent announcement of the flick's shooting location, seems there is one thing for sure that Ardeth Bay, the Medjai member who is also a strong ally of our hero Rick O'Connell, will not be featured in the movie.

The tidbit came out from none other than Oded Fehr himself, who portrayed the character in two previous installments of the series, as he told IGN during the promotion of "Resident Evil: Extinction" at WonderCon 2007.

David Beckham Will Be Sidelined for A Month After Hurting A Knee Ligament

Yesterday he underwent tests to determine the extent of the injury he suffered during a Spanish league match. And by now the result has been made public. David Beckham has to, unfortunately, out of action for about four weeks because of sprained knee ligament.

The 31-year-old midfielder hurt his right knee during Real Madrid's 1-1 tie with Getafe on Sunday March 4th after chasing the ball down the sideline during the match. After failing to reach it, he went out of bounds and hit some advertising signs.
