Vedder's New Song on "Dead Man Walking" Reissue

After such hard work recording the new version of "Dead Man," which was originally the B-side of the 1996 Pearl Jam single "Off He Goes," frontman Eddie Vedder at last has the song included on an expanded reissue of the soundtrack to the 1996 film "Dead Man Walking".

The soundtrack is bolstered with a DVD taped at Not in Our Name: Dead Man Walking -- The Concert, which was held March 29, 1998, at Los Angeles' Shrine Auditorium. It featured performances by Vedder and Pearl Jam bassist Jeff Ament, Ani DiFranco, Lyle Lovett, Tom Waits and Steve Earle.

The 2006 BET Awards Nominees

People listened carefully while the nominees for the 2006 BET Awards were announced Tuesday May 16th, 2006. Among the many names mentioned, there were the likes of Mary J. Blige, Missy Elliott, Jamie Foxx and Busta Rhymes all of whom led the pack with four nominations each.

As for Rhymes he was nominated for the categories of Best Male Hip-Hop Artist, Best Duet/Collaboration and Video of the Year both for "Touch It (Remix)", and Viewers' Choice for "Touch It". Elsewhere, Missy Elliott vied for Best Female Hip-Hop Artist and Video of the Year for "Lose Control", and Jamie Foxx was nominated for Best Male R&B Artist and Best Actor among others.

Keith Actually Is Nicole Kidman's Fiance

It's official, Nicole Kidman and Keith Urban have been engaged. The Aussie actress revealed all on Saturday in New York, during which she was about to host the 30th anniversary gala for UNIFEM, the United Nations Development Fund for Women.

Detailing on her confirmation, the Aussie actress revealed "He's actually my fiancé," while adding "I wouldn't be bringing my boyfriend."

Adding one more accolade to his pocket, Morgan Freeman collecting an honorary degree from Mississippi's Delta State University.

The Oscar-winning actor, on Saturday May 13th, 2006, collected his Doctor of Arts and Letters diploma in front of a capacity audience at the education establishment's Walter Sillers Coliseum.

Sheryl Crow Just Happy to Back Onstage

After all the medical treatment she had concerning cancer, Sheryl Crow is back. The singer has on Tuesday May 16th, 2006 made her first public performance after undergoing breast cancer surgery in February and subsequent radiation treatment.

Crow was hired to sing three songs at a sales presentation to advertisers by My Network TV, a new broadcast network launching in September that will use her song "A Change Would Do You Good" as the theme to one of its series.

Weapons Charged Were Dropped Against Young Jeezy

Prosecutor Audrey Frank told Miami-Dade Circuit Judge David Young at Tuesday's hearing that the state would not pursue two counts of carrying a concealed weapon without a permit against Young Jeezy.

Further it was confirmed at the same occasion that the charges would be dropped from the rapper's record mainly because of insufficient evidence regarding his involvement in a March shootout in Miami Beach.

Radiohead's Yorke Goes Solo but Denies Split

Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke will have his debut solo album "The Eraser," released in July later this year. The singer confirms the unveiling of his new project in an email to Radiohead fan websites at the same time as the band embarked on their latest UK tour.

"This is just a note to say that something has been kicking around in the background that I have not told you about," he wrote. "It's called The Eraser." Despite such fact, Yorke would like to set the record straight, rubbished the rumor that he is splitting from band Radiohead.

Production on "Used Guys" Is Being Delayed

"Due to scheduling issues, production is being delayed on 'Used Guys' ... until sometime next year," the 20th Century Fox said.

The big-budget, sci-fi comedy flick, which is about to star Ben Stiller and Jim Carrey, was supposed to begin shooting June 11, that's for everybody to know.

It's been three years after the 2003 European bus crash that killed the band's driver and nearly paralyzed lead singer Dryden Mitchell. And now, the band Alien Ant Farm is ready to back to music scene to greet fans all over the world.

The grunge and alternative metal group reportedly has planned to release their third major-label effort, "Up in the Attic," July 25 via Universal Music's New Door Records imprint.

Undergoing such job, Bono was tasked to interview British Prime Minister Tony Blair and Chancellor Gordon Brown while U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice offered her 10 favorite pieces of music. In Bono's special one-off edition to get public support, "The Independent"'s front page headline on Tuesday stated in big, stark letters "No News Today," while underneath was written, "Just 6,500 Africans died today as a result of a preventable, treatable disease."
