Plagiarism Over Pop Diva

Again, famous singer caught up in a plagiarism case. This time it's hitting superstar Madonna. A Belgian composer, Salvatore Acquaviva, accuses the singer of stealing the melody from his song "My Life's Getting Nowhere" for her 1998 hit "Frozen."

Concerning the allegation, Salvatore had, on Wednesday, testified at Belgian's Mons court that Madonna lifted several bars from the song he wrote five years earlier. Madonna's lawyer Fabienne Brison denied the plagiarism accusations, saying Salvatore wants to make use on her client popularity and wealth.

Depp to Reprise Role

Gaining success from the 1998 hit "Fear And Loathing In Las Vegas," Johnny Depp will reprise his role as journalist Hunter S. Thompson in the movie sequel titled "The Rum Diary." Based on Thompson's very first novel, the follow-up tells his career and personal escapades in 1950s Puerto Rico, for which Depp will even act as its executive producer.

OutKast's Big Boi Heads "Purple"

Big Boi of the successful duo OutKast is readying the first release on his Purple Ribbon Entertainment label, which was originally a joint project with Andre 3000. The lucky number one to be released is rapper Killer Mike's new album, which is set to hit the market August 30 through Columbia Records.

Coming soon will be a Virgin-distributed release from white Atlanta rapper Bubba Sparxxx. Following then Sleepy Brown, Konkrete and Star.

Not only she's good in acting and social deed, but also in playing trick to confuse public on who her man actually is. The smart Jolie, who's been media cover after being spotted with co-star Brad Pitt on a beach, is now reported dating her ex-husband Jonny Lee Miller.

The "tricky" artist has, on May 19, been spotted in London on a date with Miller. She firstly watched Miller performed his new play "Someone Who'll Watch Over Me" at London's New Ambassador's Theatre before then went to celebrity restaurant The Ivy to have dinner together.

If you want to meet your celebrity idol, you have better attended last Thursday all-star premiere of the new comedy "The Longest Yard." Listed on the guest list including David Arquette; California governor Arnold Schwarzenegger, his journalist wife, Maria Shriver, and their children, as well as actress Doris Roberts.

The movie is actually a remake of the 1974 Burt Reynolds favorite and will widely open May 27.

Long time after his hiatus since his fourth album "Like Water for Chocolate," which spawned the Grammy Award-nominated "The Light," Common Sense is now ready to rap fans world with his new album. Entitled "Be," the album is set to be released May 24. Commenting on "Be," Common says "People might dance to it in the clubs or listen on the radio for a minute. But a lot of the hip-hop music being made doesn't stick to their souls. I wanted to create something timeless and ageless."

DeGeneres' Talk Show Won Its 2nd Daytime Emmy

Talk show host Ellen DeGeneres may feel proud as her easygoing project won Daytime Emmy award on Friday, marking its second straight. Merv Griffin has, at that time, received lifetime achievement award, while his 1960s creation "Jeopardy!," with a boost from Ken Jennings' 74-game winning streak, was honored as best game show for the tenth time.

Held at Radio City Music Hall and televised on CBS, the Daytime Emmys also among others honored Stockard Channing. Natalia Livingston of "General Hospital" and Greg Rikaart of "The Young and the Restless", in addition, won their first Emmys for supporting actors in a soap opera. Won Emmys for young actors were David Yago of "The Young and the Restless" and Eden Riegel of "All My Children."

Usher Is in Negotiations for "Dreamgirls"

Five days ago, his mother Jonnetta Patton insisted that he not yet confirmed his going to star in the musical "Dreamgirls." Now the R&B star, Usher, has turned his way around, confirming he is in negotiation to star in the musical new movie version.

If the star would later get the deal, he is expected to play choreographer CC White alongside Jamie Foxx and Beyonce Knowles, to play Deena Jones, the leader of a trio of female soul singers who cross over to the pop charts during the early 1960s. Also set to play in the movie is Eddie Murphy, who will play James 'Thunder' Early, a fictional cross between James Brown and Marvin Gaye.
