As "Furious 7" stays strong at the top of Box Office, "See You Again" from its soundtrack continues to dominate the charts. The tearjerker recorded by Wiz Khalifa along with Charlie Puth which soared to Billboard Hot 100's top slot earlier this month and ended the 14-week reign of Mark Ronson and Bruno Mars' "Uptown Funk" is currently spending its second week on the list.

Not only has it crashed the charts, but the song has also shattered multiple records. It has broken two Spotify records for the most streams in a single day after garnering 4.2 million listens, and the most streams in a single week in 26 countries beginning from April 6 to April 12. In the U.K., it's become the fastest-selling single in 2015 so far.

The track serves as a tribute to Paul Walker, the "Furious 7" star who died in a car crash back in 2013. Puth first wrote the song with lyrics based on his real experience of losing a friend in a car wreck. Wiz later took it over and added new verses about family, which then softened his ex Amber Rose's heart and made her agree to settle the bitter custody battle over their son Sebastian.

Wiz, however, said in new interview that he didn't write his bars on the song with his own family in mind. "My whole objective [when writing 'See You Again'] was to make something that everybody can connect with. It feels personal, but it's something that everybody can feel too. It's not so personal that you're disconnected to it," he recently told BET.

"Basically, that was my mind frame for it. Think about family in general. Not necessarily my family or someone else's family that everybody goes through in that situation," he continued.

"I had a lot of good direction from the 'Fast & Furious' people as far as the texture of the song and how they wanted it to feel," he added. "What was most important, too, was to make sure that it was a celebration of life. You know, to reflect on things, but also just to celebrate what we've been through."
