This is the North America Box Office tale. The new release "" debuts at top, selling $20.1 million worth of tickets in its first three days, according to studio estimates issued on Sunday. The low-budget horror film consequently sends last weekend's champion, "" to 2nd with $15.4 million.

The giant ape "" apparently only wins the 3rd place with $12.5 million. Comes at No. 4 is "" taking in $12.2 million, just one place ahead of "," which scores $8.3 million. In the meantime, the controversial drama "" makes $7.5 million to be at No. 6, while "" secures the No. 7 position with $6 million.

Separated by only $1.2 million, Buena Vista's "Narnia" satisfyingly nudged out Universal's "King Kong" with an estimated income of $32.8 million it has collected from Friday to Monday earnings.

Earning an estimated $31.4 million from 3,576 theaters, the giant ape hanging onto the top position in the US box office for the second week in a row. The second best movie over the four-day Christmas holiday weekend is "" which scores another $30.1 million from 3,853 theaters.

The comedy "" secures the 3rd place with $23.5 million, while "" comes at No. 4 with $14.8 million. Rounding out the top 5 is "" taking in $10.9 million, and at 6th is "" earns $10.2 million in its third weekend in theaters. Electra Goes "Cheaper"

Carmen Electra goes "cheaper." The Hollywood actress has joined "Cheaper by the Dozen 2," a sequel to Fox's hit 2003 comedy remake. There the beauty will play as Eugene Levy's wife, who is a a former actress. Coming back to play in the sequel are Steve Martin and Bonnie Hunt, who both return as heads of the Baker family.

The Adam Shankman direction and Shawn Levy production, will focus its story on the competition the Baker family has with Eugene Levy's family, which is consisting of eight children. Also joining the cast is actress Hilary Duff.
