November 06, 2009 10:11:37The stage of O2 World Arena in Berlin, Germany was glittered with live performances from big stars on November 5 when the 16th Annual MTV Europe Music Awards was held. The likes of Shakira, Tokio Hotel, Jay-Z, Beyonce Knowles and Leona Lewis rocked the event with their hit singles.
At the event opened by cabaret show from host Katy Perry, Shakira delivered her latest single "Did It Again" and brought in several backing dancers as her companions. Having her hair braided, she wore a black mini skirt with a matched top and knee-length boots.
Winners List of 2009 MTV EMAs, Beyonce Knowles Leads With Three Nods
November 06, 2009 09:11:45Hosted by Katy Perry, 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards has just been wrapped. In the main categories, Beyonce Knowles dominated the winners list with three gongs, two of which were for Best Song and Best Female.
In Best Song, Beyonce's "Halo" beat such hit singles as Black Eyed Peas' "I Gotta Feeling", David Guetta's "When Love Takes Over", Kings of Leon's "Use Somebody" and Lady GaGa's "Poker Face". For Best Female meanwhile, she dethroned Katy, Leona Lewis, Shakira and pushed aside Lady GaGa once again.

Lady GaGa Leads 2009 MTV Europe Music Awards Noms
September 22, 2009 10:09:30Those acts crowding the nominations list of MTV Europe Music Awards this year have been unearthed with U.S. artists in domination. One in particular is Lady GaGa who has made her triumph at recent MTV Video Music Awards. The "Just Dance" singer is taking five nominations, the same amount that Kings of Leon grab.
GaGa is placed under Best Song category for "Poker Face", Best Live Act and Best Female among others. In all three categories, she has to battle them out with Beyonce Knowles who puts up front her single "Halo". Beyonce herself is up for four nominations, one in Best Video for "Single Ladies (Put a Ring on It)".

September 04, 2009 09:09:51A music video in support of Tokio Hotel's new single "Automatic" has just made its way out. The video shows the band's personnel driving cars through South African desert. Then somewhere in the dry area, they make a stop and perform on a giant stage with several robots slowly raising up near them.
"Shooting the 'Automatic' video three days in the desert was quite an adventure," frontman Bill Kaulitz told Teen Vogue. "It was in the middle of nowhere in Africa - no cell phone reception, no Internet, not even paved roads."
Cover Art for Tokio Hotel's 'Humanoid'
September 03, 2009 01:09:42Tokio Hotel's cover art for their upcoming studio album "Humanoid" has been unveiled. Coming out via Rolling Stone, this artwork captures the headshot of the band's frontman Bill Kaulitz as a cyborg with his hair being replaced by cords and wires.
In addition to "Humanoid" cover art, a clip of the album's title track has also emerged. "At the end of this track we got rid of all the normal song structures. 'Humanoid' has so many different parts and melodies, it's a weird journey that might be a little confusing at the beginning, but we can't wait to play it live," so Bill said of the song.
Sneak Peek to Tokio Hotel's 'Automatic' Music Video

Beside showing a desert somewhere in South Africa, it also provides commentary from the band's members about their experience in shooting the video and recording their new album.
"I had the worst night of my life," frontman Bill Kaulitz shared to MTV. "Yesterday, it took me so long to fall asleep, and lately weird things happen .... I'm in this dozing state, and while that is happening, I was having inner-dialogues and telling myself, 'Oh, God, still not sleeping. ... Need to turn over and fall asleep fast, because I have to get up at 9 A.M. tomorrow morning.' But while I think about that, I'm actually asleep already."

"Bill and Tom [Kaulitz] were on their way from their hotel in West Hollywood to our studio - originally to record Bill's vocals. Just before the guys arrived Bill called from the car and said that he had an idea for a song which should be named 'Automatic'," producer David Jost e-mailed MTV. "We put the vocal recordings on hold that day and wrote down the entire song in less than two hours."

"Bill [Kaulitz] has already given a name for the new record: Humanoid. The word 'Humanoid' comes from the science-fiction language, meaning humanlike," producer/songwriter David Jost said as quoted by Zeit Online. "This word is pronounced differently in the English and German language but is written the same way in both languages. Bill wanted the new record to have only one name worldwide: Humanoid."

Asked about a more personal issue, which is dating, Bill confesses he hasn't had a girlfriend just yet. On him staying single, he explains that being on his band that have a number of tour dates makes it hard for him to know particular girls personally as he has to go from one place to another. Besides, he's been busy focusing most of his time and attention on scheduled on-stage performances.

Bill's wax is seen "rocking a cropped leather jacket, a chain-link-and-leather choker and black fingernails." A number of fans who turned up for the launch struck some poses with the wax, with several of them even posing intimately with it.

Tokio Hotel Push Back 'Scream' Release Date, Plot Stage Return
April 03, 2008 02:04:13It has been announced that Tokio Hotel will release their album "Scream" in U.S. on May 6 instead of April 29 like the initial plan. "Scream" is the band's first English full-length album which tracks are taken from their previous German releases, "Schrei" and "Zimmer 483".
Two singles have been spawned for the Stateside version including the lead single "Ready, Set Go!". A third one which is titled "Don't Jump" will be released on Friday, April 4. Meanwhile, the band and MTV Buzzworthy also offer a different version of "Scream" that was recorded live from Fillmore East in New York. The version can be downloaded here.

Tokio Hotel to Release Limited 'Scream America!'

Tokio Hotel Taking Over U.S. Rock With New EP

German rock act Tokio Hotel is set to conquer U.S. with a new EP containing two of their best songs. 'Scream' and 'Ready Set Go' are molded into one single EP that was released yesterday (September 11).
The EP is exclusively distributed by Hot Topic for $ 0.99 apiece. 'Scream' and 'Ready Set Go' are both taken from their debut English album 'Scream' that was first released in Italy on June 1. It will also be dropped in U.K. on November 11 following its rising popularity.
