First Look at Timothy Olyphant as 'Lawman'
August 13, 2009 02:08:43A good three minutes sneak peek to FX Network's new series, "Lawman", is given during TV Critics Association press tour and the footage has gone online. The series starring Timothy Olyphant will only premiere in Spring 2010 but the buzz has been made in recent weeks following a 13-episode order from FX.
In "Lawman", Olyphant is modern day U.S. marshal named Ryalan Givens, a character based on Elomore Leonard's short story "Fire in the Hole". Givens enforces his brand of justice in a way that puts him as a target of criminals and places him at odds with his bosses in the marshal service. As a result, he's reassigned to the rural Kentucky town where he grew up.
Timothy Olyphant Breaks Silence on 'Hitman 2'
August 03, 2009 04:08:36A sequel to 2007's "Hitman", "Hitman 2", has been confirmed to be brewing, and the next question to be answered is whether or not Timothy Olyphant will reprise his role. At the junket for David Twohy-directed "A Perfect Getaway", the actor who plays Agent 47 in the first movie himself addressed the matter, saying he is yet to be signed on.
"It's not on my schedule," the 41-year-old told Coming Soon. "If they want me to do another one, I supposed they could have me, yes," he further fessed up. "The things that I've got in front of me right now I'm really excited about the television show [the new FX series 'Lawman']. What I can tell you about 'Hitman' is that I'm thrilled that it was as successful as it was and it was a really nice opportunity and I appreciate that opportunity."
Billy Zane Hired as Sam's Ex on 'Samantha Who?'
December 20, 2008 10:12:09It was reported earlier this month that there will be a re-casting on "Samantha Who?" for the role of Sam's ex, Funk, and apparently execs have found the new guy. If the character was previously known to be played by Timothy Olyphant, the role now belongs to Billy Zane.
EW's Michael Ausiello revealed sources confirmed to him, that producers of the show starring Christina Applegate as Samantha, have replaced Olyphant with the "Titanic" star. This was reasoned as a scheduling conflict because when it was decided that Funk is brought back on the script, Olyphant had already committed himself to FX's "Damages".

Along with Olyphant's inclusion, it is also revealed that newcomer Xavier Ganz will carry out the helming duties from Skip Woods' script and that filming is slated to begin by March this year in Europe. Apart from Besson, Chuck Gordon and Adrian Askarieh are also producing while Daniel Alter is set to co-produce.
No "Hitman" Deal Yet for Timothy Olyphant

"I don't think I've ever been officially attached to it, contrary to the Internet," the actor remarked. "It sounds fun. It sounds pretty cool. I've seen the pictures. I've never played the game but it looks cool. Lord knows what I'd look like when this hair comes off. It's a major concern."
