'2012' Crashes Into Los Angeles for Premiere
November 04, 2009 02:11:56Two weeks shy of its theatrical debut in the U.S., "2012 (2009)" went to downtown Los Angeles for its premiere. On Tuesday, November 3, black carpet was rolled out and a scene of destruction complete with a car crashing through a wall was built up in front of Regal Cinemas LA Live to greet the oncoming celebrities.
Many of the cast members were seen joining the festivity on the special evening. Amanda Peet, John Cusack, Thandie Newton, Woody Harrelson, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Oliver Platt and Danny Glover were only some of them spotted. Two of its young actors, Liam James and Morgan Lily who played Noah and Lilly Curtis, were present as well.
New York Glams Up in 'W' Premiere
October 15, 2008 01:10:45Lionsgate Film has had its share in holding the New York premiere of "W", the movie highlighting on the life and presidency of the 43rd President of the United States George W. Bush. On Tuesday, October 14, Lionsgate Films rolled down red carpet in front of Ziegfeld Theater in New York City to welcome the star-studded cast, film's crew as well as celebrity guests.
Spotted attending the special evening were most of its talented cast ensemble, including Josh Brolin, Elizabeth Banks, Ellen Burstyn, Thandie Newton, James Cromwell, Jeffrey Wright, Michael Gaston, Rob Corddry, Richard Dreyfuss, Jesse Bradford and Toby Jones. On the red carpet, they were joined by the people behind this biopic film, such as director Oliver Stone, producer Tom Ortenberg and Lionsgate's Joe Drake.

The scanned Vanity Fair's pictures uncover the first look into the complete cabinet of the 43rd and current President of the United States George W. Bush around 2003 from former Secretary of State General Colin Powell to White House Press Secretary Ari Fleischer.
The first image posted at the news' photos displays Jeffrey Wright as former Secretary of State General Colin Powell, Toby Jones as then-Deputy Chief of Staff Karl Rove, Dennis Boutsikaris as ex-Deputy Secretary of Defense Paul Wolfowitz, Richard Dreyfuss as Vice President Dick Cheney and Josh Brolin as Bush.
'RocknRolla' World Premiere Marked by Madonna's Surprising Appearance

Pictures were hosting an eventful evening for their forthcoming "RocknRolla" as the action thriller film rolled down red carpet at the Odeon cinema in West End, London in celebration of its world premiere. Making the special event even more merry, the red carpet saw a surprise appearance from Guy Ritchie's superstar wife, Madonna.
Arriving minutes before the film was screened, the pop legend who was dressed in a short black Stella McCartney dress strolled down the carpet arm-in-arm with her director husband. Beside Madonna and Ritchie, the premiere was also attended by many of the cast ensemble, including Gerard Butler, Thandie Newton, Idris Elba, Geoff Bell, Jimi Mistry, Mark Strong, Tom Wilkinson and Tom Hardy, as well as the film's producers, Joel Silver and Susan Downey.

According to Hollywood Reporter, "Crash" actress Thandie Newton and the Mister Fantastic depicter in "Fantastic Four" Ioan Gruffudd are in final negotiations to join Banks as the cast members in the forthcoming biopic "W".
Newton reportedly is in final talks to take another important role of the National Security Advisor-turned-Secretary of State, Condoleezza Rice, whereas Gruffudd is still arranging the deal to portray the former British prime minister Tony Blair. If the two manage to settle the deals, they will be joining Banks, Josh Brolin, James Cromwell and Ellen Burstyn, who have been cast earlier to be the depicters of the Bush family.

Going pretty fast in recruiting talents for the flick's cast, filmmakers of "RocknRolla" have delightfully submitted well-known names of Gerard Butler, Idris Elba, Tom Wilkinson, Thandie Newton, and rapper Ludacris as the early lineup of the list.
A caper movie, the project is set in motion when a Russian mobster orchestrates a crooked land deal and millions of dollars are thrown up for grabs, with all of London's criminal underworld players wanting in on the action. Butler is said to play One Two, a street-smart mobster who has learned to play both sides of the fence while Elba will be his partner Mumbles.

While the "Material Girl" has been named the Most Stylish Star, supermodel Campbell was hailed as Best Model, and Cruz nabbed the award for Best Film thanks to "Volver".
