February 09, 2009 03:02:06A music video aimed to promote Plies' single "Want It, Need It" has arrived. Directed by Plies himself joining forces with Yolanda Gerald, it features Ashanti, who teams up with him in the track as well as makes a cameo appearance.
Plies has released "Want It, Need It" in early January as the second single from his third studio album "Da REAList". As for the effort, he has dropped it since mid December 2008 under Atlantic Records as a follow up to his previous album "Definition of Real".

Directed by the rapper himself teaming up with Yolande Geralds, it shows him driving his car around the town. At some points, it captures him giving a ride to a man and handing lots of cash to the guy before dropping him at suburban.

The video mostly depicts a campaign story for his upcoming "Da Realist", which is scheduled for release on December 16. Plies is seen appearing behind a platform with "Street Election" written on the banner behind him.
Led by Mannie Fresh-produced song "Pants Hang Low", "Da Realist" is Plies' third major studio album under Atlantic Records. "Plies is a hard worker. There's no need to hold him back. I heard the album, heard the music, and I feel he's ready," Gucci Mane comments on Plies' next installment.

The song is taken from his second studio album "Definition of Real", which has been released in June. The video shows the rapper singing to the camera. The clip was co-directed by Zipper On Butta Fly Leather and the rapper himself and it also features the appearance of Jamie Foxx & The-Dream.
The scenes from the clip start with Plies making an appointment with Jamie to go the the actor/singer's lounge, where they were partying with lots of beautiful girls there. After that, the rapper continued his trip to meet The-Dream before heading to a club and partying again.

The rap artist is teaming up with his brother Big Gates, the CEO of Big Gates Records, to set up a non-profit organization which aim is to help promote a "more functional, productive and just community," reports said.
The new organization is called Big Gates and Plies Power Of Visions Foundation, Inc. In addition to providing educational forums, classes, workshops, training, opportunities, and other charitable activities aimed at rehabilitated former prisoners, the organization as well is offering fund for legal representation and aid to needy individuals, especially those who are incarcerated.
