'Resident Evil' Heroine Milla Jovovich Investigating '4th'
April 16, 2008 02:04:49Milla Jovovich, the tough and rugged chick in the "Resident Evil" franchise, allegedly is up for another vigorous role as she is set to star in a thriller entitled "The 4th Kind", according to Variety. In the film, the 32-year-old actress is going to portray a woman who investigates an unsolved mystery in Alaska.
Jovovich will join the production of the Gold Circle Films' flick when the film begins to take its principal photography sometime in late-June. She will be working under the direction of first-time director Olatunde Osunsanmi, who was the assistant to Joe Carnahan. However, before she gears up for the film, the "Ultraviolet" star will have to follow the shooting for David Twohy's thriller "A Perfect Getaway" which is under production.

According to Hollywood Reporter, the 32-year-old actress has been tapped to star alongside Kiele Sanchez, Timothy Olyphant and Steve Zahn in the MGM's upcoming action thriller "A Perfect Getaway".
Jovovich, who has appeared in Kurt Wimmer's 2006 science fiction "Ultraviolet", will be playing Zahn's new wife. Aside from this thriller film, the star of romantic comedy "You Stupid Man" has been reported to have recently finished shooting another thriller "Insanitarium". She will next join the Paul Verhoeven-directed film "Azazel".

"The name Ever is a Scottish boy's name, Paul has Scottish blood in him (not to mention two tartans in his family!) so we wanted to give her a name that reflected her "celtic" roots, while her middle name Gabo - pronounced "Gabeau" - is a mixture of my parents names! The first two letters are after my mom's first name, Galina and the last two letters are after my dad's first name Bogie!"

At last the date is set. Sony's Screen Gems has just announced that the third installment of Resident Evil franchise, "Resident Evil: Extinction" will come to theaters exactly on September 7, 2007. Still features major cast from the first sequel, "Resident Evil: Apocalypse", such as Milla Jovovich, Oded Fehr, and Sienna Guillory, the movie also adds more stars like Ali Larter, Chris Egan, Ashanti, plus Iain Glen among others in the line-up.
Taking place in a post-apocalyptic world overrun with mutant zombies, "Resident Evil: Extinction" continues to follow the trails of Alice, played by Jovovich, as she joins a convoy of human survivors cutting through the Nevada desert on a long trek to Alaska while being hunted by the minions of the perpetually scheming Dr. Isaacs.

"Resident Evil: Afterlife" continues Alice's battle with the diabolical Umbrella Corp. as she races to expose a virus that is threatening mankind with extinction before a new race of clones called the Undead finishes the job. Set to make a comeback performance as Alice is Milla Jovovich. In the meantime, Paul W.S. Anderson is writing the screenplay.
