Radio personality DJ Khaled has set the release date for album "We the Best". The sophomore album will hit the stores by June 12 via Terror Squad/KOCH Records.
Khaled as usual involves many of his artist friends in the making of this record. Within a short time, R. Kelly's new album "Double Up" will be out on May 29. It would be his thirteenth studio album and is pretty much star studded.
The first single released is "I'm a Flirt (Remix)" featuring T.I. and T-Pain. Many people are wondering why Bow Wow who has the same track in his album "The Price of Fame" (2006) is not featured in the video. It turns out that Bow Wow's version is a bonus track and its promotion to radios is prohibited. R. On Thursday, March 1, New York rapper MIMS has topped Billboard 100 with the song "This Is Why I'm Hot" after leaping as great as 31 positions straight ahead to no.1. The leap is recorded as the third biggest in the chart's history as well as scoring the first #1 single for its label, the Capitol Records. The song has also created quite a stir in numerous radio stations with a total spins up to 1000 per week and absorbed a growing 59 million listeners.

The celebration turned into grief for Ludacris when his father dead Sunday Feb 25th, just two weeks after his Grammy victory. Wayne Brian Bridges died Sunday morning in an Atlanta hospital after a long illness, the rapper's publicist Barry Florence said.
"We are overwhelmed by the generous outpouring of love, condolences and support from family members, friends, fans and the many well wishers," Ludacris' family said in a statement released Monday Feb 26th. The set, which is Stewart's first rock release in eight years, is the star's fourth No. 1 album in his entire music career.
With Stewart taking the very top position on the album chart, last week's champ goth-pop band Evanescence's "The Open Door" slips to 2nd position with another 164,000 copies. Rapper Lloyd Banks' second set, "Rotten Apple," bows at No. 3 taking in 143,000 units. Aside from the attainment, "The Open Door" also is claimed as the 700th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 since the magazine started its weekly chart 50 years ago. Returning to the big screen, Ludacris has given his agreement to have a starring role in Christmas comedy "Fred Claus", a production of Warner Bros. Pictures. The rapper will portray an angry elf troubled by the sudden presence of the title character, played by Vince Vaughn, as he comes to North Pole to assist his brother, Santa Claus.
Also presenting Paul Giamatti, Kevin Spacey, John Michael Higgins, and Elizabeth Banks in the cast, the project is scheduled to begin filming next Monday, October 9 in London with David Dobkin at helm. A new album will come out from the hands of Ludacris. The rapper has set a September 26 date to release his fifth solo album, titled "Release Therapy", the follow-up to 2004's "The Red Light District" which has sold 2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Prior to this, a single from the record entitled "Money Maker" featuring Pharrell Williams has already arrived at U.S. radio outlets on July 17.
