According to Billboard.com, T-Pain has collaborated with Wayne in the first single entitled "Can't Believe It" which has been released in late July. Meanwhile Chris will appear with him in "Freeze" and Ludacris will be found rapping verses in the more slowed down single "Chopped & Screwed." In addition, Kanye will contribute his vocals in a playful song called "Therapy."

On Thursday, March 1, New York rapper MIMS has topped Billboard 100 with the song "This Is Why I'm Hot" after leaping as great as 31 positions straight ahead to no.1. The celebration turned into grief for Ludacris when his father dead Sunday Feb 25th, just two weeks after his Grammy victory. Wayne Brian Bridges died Sunday morning in an Atlanta hospital after a long illness, the rapper's publicist Barry Florence said.
"We are overwhelmed by the generous outpouring of love, condolences and support from family members, friends, fans and the many well wishers," Ludacris' family said in a statement released Monday Feb 26th. "We thank you for your prayers and hope you will understand our need for privacy during this sorrowful time."

The award season is near, and coming on its way is the 2006 Billboard Music Awards. While a host for the event has yet been announced, it has been confirmed that the likes of Gwen Stefani, Ludacris, The Fray and Mary J. Blige will perform at the awards, which will air live on Fox on December 4.
Previously announced performers including Janet Jackson, Stacy Ferguson, and The Killers. Others set to make appearances at the Las Vegas awards show are Bowling For Soup, Carrie Underwood, Carmen Electra, Dave Navarro, Flavor Flav, Three 6 Mafia, Vanessa Minnillo and the cast of "High School Musical".

Veteran singer Rod Stewart leads the pack in the US pop album chart Wednesday Oct 18th, with his latest effort "Still the Same...Great Rock Classics of Our Time" sold 184,304 copies in the week ended October 15. The set, which is Stewart's first rock release in eight years, is the star's fourth No. 1 album in his entire music career.
With Stewart taking the very top position on the album chart, last week's champ goth-pop band Evanescence's "The Open Door" slips to 2nd position with another 164,000 copies. Rapper Lloyd Banks' second set, "Rotten Apple," bows at No. 3 taking in 143,000 units. Jimmy Buffett's "Take the Weather With You" is No. 4 on the Top 200 and No. 1 on the Top Country Albums chart with 121,000 units.

It's no longer Ludacris on the top spot of the US pop album charts. Evanescence, in fact, is the one leads the pack in busy album release week, jumps straight in at number one in the Billboard 200 with their new album "The Open Door" sold 447,000 copies during the week ended October 8th.
Aside from the attainment, "The Open Door" also is claimed as the 700th No. 1 album on the Billboard 200 since the magazine started its weekly chart 50 years ago. The set, what's more, also marks the rock band's first No. 1 on the Billboard 200. The Killers' second album "Sam's Town" comes next at No. 2, sold 315,000 copies.
Ludacris Gets Merry with "Fred Claus"

Returning to the big screen, Ludacris has given his agreement to have a starring role in Christmas comedy "Fred Claus", a production of Warner Bros. Pictures. The rapper will portray an angry elf troubled by the sudden presence of the title character, played by Vince Vaughn, as he comes to North Pole to assist his brother, Santa Claus.
Also presenting Paul Giamatti, Kevin Spacey, John Michael Higgins, and Elizabeth Banks in the cast, the project is scheduled to begin filming next Monday, October 9 in London with David Dobkin at helm. Meanwhile script is written by Dan Fogelman and Jessie Nelson who will also serve as producer along with Dobkin.

The rapper's set, which is his fifth, is a new entry at the charts, sold 309,000 copies for the week ended Sunday October 1st. With such attainment, "Release Therapy" obviously leads Luda to score his third No. 1 album, after that of his 2003 "Chicken -N- Beer" and 2004 "The Red Light District".
Janet Jackson's "20 Y.O.", which is also another new entry, debuts at No. 2 with 296,000 copies, followed after that by Tony Bennett's "Duets: An American Classic" at No. 3 sold 202,000 copies, and Alan Jackson's "Like Red on a Rose" opens at No.4, taking in 149,000 units. Former chart-topper Justin's "FutureSex/LoveSounds", in the meantime, falls to No. 5 sold another 147,000 copies.
Rapper Ludacris to Deliver "Release Therapy"

A new album will come out from the hands of Ludacris. The rapper has set a September 26 date to release his fifth solo album, titled "Release Therapy", the follow-up to 2004's "The Red Light District" which has sold 2 million copies in the United States, according to Nielsen SoundScan. Prior to this, a single from the record entitled "Money Maker" featuring Pharrell Williams has already arrived at U.S. radio outlets on July 17.
Revealing that he envisions the LP as giving listeners "their temporary fix or release for the day", the rapper also reassures that the witty, animated style and bouncy, Southern-fried tracks that took him to the forefront of the "Dirty South" hip-hop movement can still be found in the album. "Release" itself has been confirmed to contain 15 tracks and features renowned music artists like Mary J. Blige, R. Kelly, Field Mob, and Young Jeezy apart from Williams.

MTV announced Thursday August 10th that they will have Jack Black to host its annual MTV Video Music Awards. MTV president Christina Norman called Black the "perfect mix of comedy, rock, irreverence and star power." That may become one reason why they choose him.
