Robert Rodriguez's 'Machete' Announced Cast Line-Up
August 06, 2009 02:08:41After weeks of speculation, the line of actors joining the cast ensemble of Robert Rodriguez's "Machete" have been revealed. Some big names, including Academy Award-winning actor Robert De Niro, "Awake" actress Jessica Alba and martial art expert Steven Seagal, are among those mentioned in the list, as reported by Variety.
Beside the three stars above, "Machete" will also have "Fast and Furious" actress Michelle Rodriguez. Cheech Marin, who appeared several times in TV series "Lost", Don Johnson, who is famous for his role in 1980s TV cop series "Miami Vice", and Jeff Fahey, who was featured in Bruce Payne's 2007 film "Messages", will join leading man Danny Trejo as well.
Actor Don Johnson to be A Dad Again
December 28, 2005 12:12:28He's 56 years old now. But, Don Johnson will be a dad again. The actor and wife Kelly Phleger are expecting their third child together due around May next year. "Both, needless to say, are thrilled," Elliot Mintz, Johnson's publicist, declared.
The couple, who tied the knot in 1999, already has two children. The first is a daughter named Grace, while the second is a 3-year-old son, Jasper.
Start Shooting; Miami Vice
October 27, 2005 01:10:44Action drama flick "Miami Vice," based on the 1980s small-screen hit for NBC, starts shooting. The film, stars Colin Farrell as Det. James "Sonny" Crockett and Jamie Foxx as Det. Ricardo Tubbs, follows the two characters face a transnational criminal enterprise whose leader and chief financial officer is of Chinese/Cuban origin, played by Gong Li.
"Miami Vice" was filming on the third floor of the Plaza Maria de Toledo hotel in Santo Domingo's colonial district Monday night when the shooting took place. The original version was created by Anthony Yerkovich and executive produced by Michael Mann. It starred Don Johnson as Crockett and Philip Michael Thomas as Tubbs.
