'Celebrity Apprentice' 3 Given Two Sneak Peeks
February 12, 2010 01:02:04How intense "The Celebrity Apprentice" season 3 will be and how hilarious it is at the same time are shown in two new clips released by NBC. The promos mostly highlight on the performances of Cyndi Lauper, Sharon Osbourne and Rod Blagojevich. The first two are in the same team called Tenacity while the politician is in team Rock Solid.
Coming March 14, the show will put battle of the sexes, splitting the men and women into two teams. In an appearance on Howard Stern's show last year, Sharon said that they would be selling burgers down in New York and Cyndi claimed she was the project manager.
'Celebrity Apprentice' Season 3 Cast Leaked
October 17, 2009 11:10:10NBC may still keep the cast of "The Celebrity Apprentice" season 3 a secret but a picture speaks louder. The celebrities participating in the reality show were shooting the opening sequence down on West 15th Street in the Meatpacking District on Wednesday, October 14. It can now be confirmed that Democrat Rod Blagojevich is among the line-up.
Also spotted on the set are Bret Michaels, Curtis Stone, Bill Goldberg, Summer Sanders, Sinbad, Carol Leifer, Sharon Osbourne, and Darryl Strawberry. Singer Cyndi Lauper is not captured in the photo released by NY Post but she is in the one from People. NY Post said that she was "visibly upset" because her wrestler friend Lou Albano died earlier that day. Actress Holly Robinson Peete and wrestler Maria Kanellis are also not in the picture but are reportedly included.

Other headliners also performed their latest singles. Kelly Clarkson entertained concertgoers with "Already Gone", and Jordin Sparks invited audience to dance with "S.O.S. (Let the Music Play)". As for Jennifer Hudson and Adele, both of them brought the first singles from their debut albums. Jennifer came out with "Spotlight", and Adele took the stage with "Hometown Glory".

Cyndi Lauper Presents "True Colors" Tour

Little did Cyndi Lauper know that while she wrote the song "True Colors" in 1986, many souls were going to be saved by it. Reviving the song in the True Colors tour, Lauper states that her sole intention is to promote gay rights.
Inspired by the letters that she received from fans, Lauper who is a long time supporter of gay rights, found out that her song made people hopeful. "A lot of people were saying that when it came out (in 1986) they were teenagers and they were coming out," she said. "They were disowned by their family and their friends and their jobs got all messed up and they were totally alone, and suicidal, and then they heard `True Colors' and it made them feel hopeful."

Cyndi Lauper to Make Broadway Debut Next Year
December 24, 2005 10:12:02New Year is coming, yet pop star Cyndi Lauper already has a big plan to do. She's about to make her Broadway debut next year in "The Threepenny Opera," playing Jenny the prostitute in the satirical musical about a highwayman and his sweetheart.
To your notice, the role of Jenny originally was slated to be played by Edie Falco. But, it was reported a weeks ago that she had left the production with no reason given. "The Threepenny Opera," which first seen on Broadway in 1933, is due to start previews in March for an opening on April 20, 2006.
