Preview of 'CSI: NY' 5.08: My Name is Mac Taylor
November 13, 2008 12:11:40Coming to its 100th episode, "CSI: NY" presents an episode called "My Name is Mac Taylor" where a series of murders are linked by the fact that all the victims are named "Mac Taylor". Rumer Willis, daughter of Demi Moore and Bruce Willis will guest star in the episode as Mackendra Taylor and "American Idol" alum Chris Daughtry as Machiavelli Taylor.
Two murder victims are found within two weeks, the New York team must struggle against time in order to hunt down this killer before the worst happens. Mac Taylor happens to be the same name as the show's lead detective which is played by Gary Sinise and 15 other people in the city, Macdonald Taylor, Mackiyo Taylor, Machiavelli Taylor, Mackinley Taylor and Mackendra Taylor among others. The latest manages to escape from the murderer's clutch although suffers from bruises and cuts.

The Academy Award-winning actress took time out of her hectic filming schedule, turning a volunteer teacher for a day for children at a school in New Orleans, Louisiana recently.
Spent time with the at-risk youth of New Orleans at the Children's Defense Fund Freedom School, Reese helped the kids with their assignments, read a story to the class, and posed for photographs with the kids. The mother of two is having her trip being filmed for an upcoming American Idol charity special Idol Gives Back.
Chris Daughtry 'Sorry for Being Honest' on Idol Diss
January 18, 2008 10:01:10Consider it a slip of tongue but Chris Daughtry has insisted that he was merely being honest when he said that his former 'school' American Idol is "in a state of decline". He claimed the statement that was made during interview with RollingStones.com was taken only in parts and eventually misinterpreted his opinion.
On his official blog, the singer who fronts rock band DAUGHTRY wrote, "It's so sad that when you're asked something and you answer honestly ... you're made out to be the bad guy." He also went on explaining that he did mention "good things" about the show in the same interview, emphasizing that he "was a struggling artist for 11 years that never got any respect or notoriety so know that I'm eternally grateful for the opportunity that 'Idol' gave me. And that's where my comments came from."
Chris Daughtry to Perform Free Concert in N.C.

Keep your money for something else 'coz Chris Daughtry will perform for free. The "American Idol" finalist has been slated to perform a free concert in downtown Greensboro, N.C.
The free concert, scheduled to take place on March 23rd later this year, is meant as a prelude to the NCAA women's basketball tournament games on March 24 and 26. Greensboro Coliseum officials hope the concert will help the city's bid to host the 2012 women's Final Four.

Debuting at No. 1 on the US album chart this week is Ciara. The pop sensation leads the pack in the busy album release week with "Ciara: The Evolution" sold 338,447 copies in the United States. The success of the album sales is jacked up by the success of its lead single, the ballad "Promise", which is currently at No. 15 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.
Following in on the 2nd spot of the Billboard 200 is the Eminem-branded multi-artist compilation "Eminem Presents: The Re-Up" which has been sold 309,000 copies in the week ended Sunday Dec 10th. Gwen Stefani's "The Sweet Escape" lands at No. 3 with 243,000 units. The chart's next best bows are the soundtrack to Disney's former chart-topper "Hannah Montana" at No. 4 with 243,000 units, ahead of the multi-label hits compilation "NOW 23" which slips one to No. 5 with 185,000.
American Idol Fourth Runner-Up Chris Daughtry Inks Record Deal

Chosen the fourth runner-up of American Idol isn't not so bad for Chris Daughtry as that attainment brings him to secure a record deal with music mogul Clive Davis in conjunction with 19 Recordings Unlimited, the label managed by "Idol" creator Simon Fuller. The inked of the deal was first reported by RCA Records on Monday July 10th.
According to a statement by RCA, Daughtry will form a band and "has already begun to work with A-list collaborators" to write and record new material. The rocker, moreover, is expected to release an album later this year.
