Opts to stick to dramatic genre after her latest acting stint in the upcoming "Crossing Over", Ashley Judd has inked deals to become the female lead in "Helen", a drama produced by Egoli Tossell Film and Insight Film Studios, Variety has revealed.
The beauty likely replaces fellow actress Gillian Anderson in the project as the official site for "The X Files" star has informed that she is "no longer attached" to the flick because of "a conflict in schedules."

Ashley Judd is jumping on the fashion bandwagon. The movie actress is teaming up with clothing retailer Goody's Family Clothing Inc., lending her name and fashion line to a new line of women's clothing to debut this fall.
Goody's, a Knoxville-based company, confirmed their partnership Wednesday June 13th. The three new labels, called AJ, Ashley Judd and Love, Ashley will among others include sweaters, denim, knit tees and casual career outfits.

Searching for her next acting vehicle after "Bug", Ashey Judd is reportedly engaged in talks to have a starring role in immigration drama "Crossing Over", which The Weinstein Company is currently setting up at its pit.
If a deal is landed, Judd will likely be billed as an immigration defense attorney who is trying to arrange the adoption of a Nigerian girl. Already included in the cast are Harrison Ford, Ray Liotta, Cliff Curtis, and Sean Penn, who turns out to only make a brief appearance in the movie.

Trying her hand at screenwriting, actress Ashley Judd is about to pen a screenplay of a seemingly promising film project titled "The Burning Time", the beauty herself has revealed during the New York press conference for her new film "Come Early Morning."
Adapted from Robin Morgan's novel of the same title, "Time" follows the struggle of an Irish priestess living in the 14th century named Alice Kyteler as she refuses to give up her land and faith following the arrival of the Inquisition which then leads her into a battle of wits with the bishop.

Everything is clear now as Ashley Judd has come clean about her emotional rehab. Bared her most kept-secret life experience, the actress says in the August issue of Glamour magazine, "I needed help. I was in so much pain."
Further Ashley told the publication that she underwent a 47-day stint in a Texas treatment center in February to overcome a host of emotional problems caused by her history of depression, isolation and codependent relationships.
