Amy Lee Denied Metallica Collaboration
April 21, 2008 02:04:25Previous rumors saying that Evanescence's singer Amy Lee will work with Metallica turned out to be a false one. The rock singer herself has denied the rumors in an on-line posting on her band's official website.
Amy confirmed that the news was untrue and said that she doesn't even know where it came from. "I am NOT going to be collaborating with METALICA. I have absolutely no idea where this rumor came from, but it is not true," Amy said.

Notwithstanding with the departure of her fellow band members, Amy Lee keeps going strong. Doesn't mean she is ignorant with the existence of her band Evanescence, the singer has married her therapist fiance Josh Hartzler on Sunday May 6th.
Amy's father, John Lee, confirmed to Evanescencefan.net that his daughter and Josh were married Sunday in a very private ceremony, saying "The big deal at the wedding was the flowers. Many, many flowers. It was absolutely beautiful and everything went perfectly."
No Wolves in Evanescence's New Video

Evanescence recently completed the shooting of their new video "Sweet Sacrifice". Unlike the previous videos, vocalist Amy Lee said, it's a non-crazy one where wolves, tricks and stuffs will not be present.
Directed by Paul Brown who has worked with Audioslave, this video suits the band's favor. "It's mostly live performance," she said in a statement "It's more really just about the song, and that is unique for us." Going a bit metaphoric, the video took the set of a four-wall room which is inspired by Jennifer Lopez's movie "The Cell" (2000). "Like we're in the walls of our minds, sort of," she continued.

Amy Lee, the lead singer of Evanescence, is engaged. The singer songwriter announced her engagement Tuesday January 9th during a taping of an hour-long special on the Canadian music network MuchMusic.
Lee's boyfriend Josh, a therapist, proposed to her Monday evening while the band was in Toronto to perform at the Air Canada Centre. She said he got down on one knee for a traditional proposal.
Evanescence Get Back on the Road

Evanescence, the Little Rock, Arkansas-based quintet, is back. The music group announced Thursday August 10th that they are going to kick off another world tour, with tickets for the North American go on sale August 19.
The trek, held in support of the band's second studio album "The Open Door", will be kicked off Oct. 5 in Toronto and finishes up on Oct. 29 in San Francisco. As of the album itself, the set has been slated to touch the market on October 3rd.
