AceShowbiz - Victoria Goodwin, the estranged wife of "Ghost Adventures" star Aaron Goodwin, has reached a plea deal related to her alarming plot to have him murdered. Following her arrest, she pleads guilty to one count of conspiracy to commit murder.
Victoria now faces a prison sentence ranging from two to ten years and could be fined up to $5,000.
The saga began in March 2024 when Victoria, 32, developed a relationship with convicted murderer Grant Amato. Their connection reportedly started after Victoria watched Amato's story on the Paramount+ true crime docuseries, "Ctrl + Alt + Desire."
Amato, 35, is serving three life sentences without parole for killing his family after stealing $200,000 to fuel his obsession with a webcam model.
Victoria and Amato allegedly conspired to kill Aaron, with discussions of payments for his murder. Authorities uncovered their scheme when Amato's contraband phone was seized in prison, revealing incriminating text messages.
In one of these messages, Victoria stated, "Am I a bad person? Because I chose to end his existence. Not divorce." She had even set aside $11,515, with an upfront payment of $2,500, to hire a hitman.
On March 6, Victoria was arrested by Las Vegas Metropolitan Police on charges of soliciting to commit murder and conspiracy to commit murder. However, the charge of soliciting to commit murder will be dropped as part of her plea deal.
She has since appeared in court multiple times, often in a prison jumpsuit, with her hands cuffed to a chain around her waist. She is set to formally enter her plea at an arraignment hearing on April 21.
Aaron, 48, filed for divorce on March 12, citing "incompatible" views and the impossibility of living together in harmony. He later amended his filing, seeking over $10,000 in damages and accusing Victoria of negligence and false imprisonment.
Aaron thanked his fans for their support, stating, "Thank you everyone for all the love and support through this emotionally trying time."
The couple, who had no children but shared several pets, first started dating in August 2018 and got married at Disneyland's Haunted Mansion in August 2022. This chilling case underscores the unpredictability of human relationships and the extreme lengths some might go to solve their personal conflicts.
