AceShowbiz - Amanda Bynes, best known for her roles in late '90s and early 2000s comedies, has announced her latest foray into joining OnlyFans. The "She's the Man" star revealed to her Instagram followers her plans to become a content creator on the adult platform.
She, however, clarified her intent behind this decision. "I'm on onlyfans now! Disclaimer: I'm doing onlyfans to chat with my fans through dm's. I won't be posting any sleazy content. Excited to join," she wrote alongside an image of her page. Setting her subscription fee at $50 per month, Bynes promises a cozy and fan-centric experience.
Bynes' career took off in 1996 with a role on Nickelodeon's "All That," followed by her own spinoff show "The Amanda Show." She then starred in movies like "What a Girl Wants" and "Hairspray."
However, she retired from acting in 2010, declaring via Twitter, "I don't love acting anymore so I've stopped doing it." The decision came despite her young age, as she admitted, “I know 24 is a young age to retire but you heard it here first. I've #retired."
The past decade has been a tumultuous one for Bynes, involving legal troubles and mental health challenges. In 2013, she was placed on a 5150 psychiatric hold, which led to her parents enforcing a conservatorship that was only terminated in 2022. Despite these hardships, she has taken significant steps towards recovery and has been notably candid about her struggles.
In addition to her new OnlyFans account, Amanda Bynes is steering towards a completely different profession - a podcast host, which unfortunately lasted for one episode, and a nail artistry. She announced her return to school in 2024 to become a licensed manicurist.
"Since I haven't passed the board exam yet to get my manicurist license, I started back at school to study manicurist theory and to practice doing acrylics before I take the test again," she elaborated.
Bynes is also exploring her flair for art, as she partnered with fashion designer Austin Babbitt for a pop-up art show. The event, featuring her original art and clothing, drew fans and friends alike.
In October, Bynes shared with People, "We're working on doing a pop-up art show in December." Fellow child star alum Noah Cyrus was among the attendees.
This signifies a new chapter in her life. Fans are eager to see what she will create next, rooting for her as she navigates these fresh paths.
