AceShowbiz - Taylor Swift is showing love to Selena Gomez and Benny Blanco following the release of their joint album, "I Said I Love You First". On Saturday, the 35-year-old pop superstar took to her Instagram Stories to heap praise on the record.
"@selenagomez & @itsbennyblanco I LOVE THIS ALBUM SO MUCH," Swift wrote, sharing a screenshot of the album on Spotify, along with a link to purchase the set.
This new album, which dropped on Friday, includes "Scared of Loving You," which was co-written by Billie Eilish's brother FINNEAS, "Call Me When You Break Up," featuring Gracie Abrams, "I Can't Get Enough" with Tania and J Balvin, and "Cowboy" that features an uncredited spoken outro by GloRilla.
In the wake of the album's release, Gracie Abrams who also appeared in a music video with Selena Gomez sent the couple a beautiful bouquet of pink roses, which Gomez showed off on her Instagram.
Gomez has spoken publicly about the joy of working with her fiance on this album. In an Apple Music interview with Zane Lowe, she shared, "It just felt like it was a little taste of what we are and how we made this together, and how much we loved it and how much we love each other. And it just felt like it was meant to be."
The couple began dating in June 2023 and got engaged late last year. The bride-to-be proudly showed off her marquise-cut engagement ring, captioning, "Forever begins now."
Swift's public endorsement of "I Said I Love You First" has drawn a warm response from Gomez, who reposted Swift's Instagram Story. "Love you, Tay," Gomez declared.
Since the album was released, it has stirred fan speculations about Justin Bieber diss. However, Gomez attempted to shut down such rumors by stating during her Spotify Interview that "most of this album has nothing to do with what everyone may go to." Despite this, fans continue to dissect the emotionally-charged lyrics for clues.
"I Said I Love You First" serves as Gomez's first studio project since 2020's "Rare". This new release affirms both Gomez's personal and artistic growth, and it's clear that Swift couldn't be prouder of her close friend's achievement.
