With both stars having their own lifestyle brands, Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle are bound to be compared, but the Goop founder refuses to be pitted against the Duchess.

AceShowbiz - When two powerful women's paths cross, the world pays attention. Gwyneth Paltrow has shared her genuine support for Meghan Markle's latest professional shift in an intriguing Vanity Fair cover story.

In a candid interview, the Goop founder expressed her thoughts on the Duchess of Sussex's lifestyle pivot with the "As Ever" brand.

Although she hasn't seen the trailer for Markle's Netflix show "With Love, Meghan," Paltrow believed that "everybody deserves an attempt at everything that they want to try."

Paltrow, recalling wisdom from her mother, actress Blythe Danner, emphasized a collaborative rather than competitive view among women. "I was raised to see other women as friends, not foes. I think there's always more than enough to go around," she said.

Further reinforcing this idea, she mentioned her "strong instinct to stand up for" women like Markle, especially when public discourse turns negative for "certain women in the culture."

Despite both residing in Montecito, California and her supportive comments, Paltrow and her husband, Brad Falchuk, don't personally know Markle and Prince Harry.

However, Paltrow shared that she has met Markle briefly and found her to be "really lovely." In a lighter note, she humorously pondered trying to "get through their security detail and bring them a pie."

Markle's journey in the lifestyle domain began with her brand "American Riviera Orchard," which she rebranded to "As Ever" in February. This rebranding came shortly before her Netflix show "With Love, Meghan" premiered.

Despite scathing reviews from UK critics and her estranged family members, the show secured a second season, highlighting a favorable reception from the broader audience.

The comparisons to other lifestyle icons like Paltrow and Pamela Anderson are not lost. Anderson also ventured into lifestyle content with her show "Pamela's Cooking with Love."

Paltrow's own lifestyle venture, Goop, launched in 2008, remains strong according to her remarks in the interview, despite 2024 headlines about layoffs.

She reassured that Goop is far from faltering, stating, "We are not doing this because the business is faltering. Case in point, we're still here. We just had our best year." She noted that the company needed a reorganization to focus and trim the excess.

This mutual support among women, particularly in the highly scrutinized domains of celebrity and entrepreneurship, speaks volumes about the strength of solidarity. As Markle forges her path, Paltrow's encouragement serves as a beacon of genuine mentorship.
