AceShowbiz - Hilaria Baldwin and her husband Alec Baldwin have often found themselves at the center of paparazzi attention especially after the deadly shooting on set of his movie "Rust", leading to numerous confrontations with media and paparazzi.
In one of the latest episodes of their reality series, "The Baldwins", the couple opened up about their tumultuous history with photographers, with Hilaria addressing headlines about her "mob wife aesthetic" after shutterbugs caught her in an outlandish attire.
Critics were quick to mock her fashion choices, speculating she had intentionally dressed up for the cameras. One critic commented, "It's like 30 degrees out and she's wearing stockings, stilettos, and a mini skirt." Another added, "But she started the day in a puffer jacket and boots. But then she changed!"
In her defence, Hilaria explained the real motive behind her dramatic wardrobe change. "Alec needed to try to get in the car and to try and protect him, I went inside, put on a ridiculous outfit and went back outside," she shared.
Her strategy worked as intended, diverting the photographers' attention away from Alec and allowing him to leave unnoticed. "The fact that they didn't realize that I was messing with them is extraordinary," she said.
Despite being labeled an "attention seeker," Hilaria remains adamant about her priorities - her family. "People call me an attention seeker and all those things because they don't know what I'm doing. Call me nuts but I'm going to take care of my husband and I'm going to take care of my kids," she declared.
Alec echoed her sentiments, emphasizing their desire for privacy and family protection.
For those intrigued by celebrity lives and their behind-the-scenes struggles, "The Baldwins" offers a raw, unfiltered look every Sunday at 10/9c on TLC. Episodes are also available for streaming on Max.
