As Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria delve into reality TV with their new TLC show, 'The Baldwins,' the family of Halyna Hutchins takes legal action, questioning Baldwin's intentions.

AceShowbiz - The family of Halyna Hutchins was not impressed by Alec Baldwin's new TLC reality series, where he and wife Hilaria Baldwin talked about the deadly shooting on the set of his movie "Rust" and the impact on their lives.

Halyna's loved ones filed a notice of deposition demanding the actor to "face the real-life consequences that he caused" and to "face reality under oath." The deposition is scheduled for May 9, just ahead of Mother's Day.

Gloria Allred, the attorney representing Halyna's parents Olga Solovey and Anatolii Androsovych, along with Halyna's sister Svetlana Zemko, emphasized the emotional toll the situation has taken on the family.

"As though it is not enough that Alec Baldwin killed their daughter, and that he was not held accountable in the criminal case because the case was dismissed with prejudice by the court before the jury could decide if he was guilty or not, now Alec Baldwin has compounded the pain of Halyna's parents and sister by taking advantage of his increased fame and notoriety by monetizing it in a TLC reality show," said Allred.

Allred also criticized the series for featuring a therapy session where Baldwin discusses alleged PTSD symptoms resulting from the "Rust" shooting. She questioned the authenticity of Baldwin's portrayal.

"Why is he claiming that he has PTSD? Is his reality show just a veiled attempt to create sympathy for himself with a future jury pool in our civil case? Is this just a shameless attempt to portray him as the real victim in this case?"

The family's attorney further revealed that Baldwin has not reached out to Halyna's parents or sister since the manslaughter trial.

"He never called or tried to contact her parents or sister to say that he was sorry, and to this day he has never taken responsibility for Halyna's death. Instead, he entered into a money-making deal with TLC."

Meanwhile, Alec Baldwin and his wife Hilaria defend the TLC docuseries in an interview with People magazine. Hilaria described the show as a "safe space" for them to tackle their personal challenges.

"It was an opportunity for us to actually speak. It was a really safe space. And I think it was also very cathartic, almost like a diary during a very unsure time of our life. That felt both terrifying and like it could get us through day by day."

Baldwin himself cited the show's convenience for family time, suggesting that his priorities have shifted towards spending more time with his family rather than focusing on work.

"The Baldwins" premiered on February 23 on TLC, offering viewers a glimpse into the lives of the Baldwin family amid the backdrop of a highly publicized manslaughter trial. As the legal proceedings continue, Halyna Hutchins' family remains steadfast in their pursuit of accountability and justice for their loved one.
