Get ready, Rio! Lady Gaga is set to bring mayhem and light up Copacabana Beach with her electrifying performance on May 3, promising a show that will go down in history.

AceShowbiz - Lady GaGa has officially announced that she will perform a free concert on Rio de Janeiro's iconic Copacabana Beach on May 3. This much-anticipated event marks her first performance in Brazil since 2012 and follows the heartbreaking cancellation of her Rock in Rio appearance in 2017 due to medical issues.

The singer's excitement to return to Brazil is palpable. "It's a great honor to be asked to sing for Rio," she wrote on Instagram, "for my whole career the fans in Brazil have been part of the lifeblood of the little monsters."

"I've been dying to come perform for you for years and was heartbroken when I had to cancel years ago because I was hospitalized," Gaga said on social media. "I am now coming back and I feel better than ever and am working so hard to make sure this show is one you will never forget."

The free concert, which will be open to the public on a first-come, first-served basis, is expected to attract a massive crowd to one of the world's most famous shorelines. Gaga's performance will be broadcast live on Multishow and TV Globo, beginning at 9 p.m. BRT.

Rio Mayor Eduardo Paes, who has been re-elected to a four-year term, has pledged to bring a major international concert to the city every May as part of the economy-boosting "Celebration May" initiative. Paes jokingly posted on social media, "I don't have tickets for the Lady Gaga show! It's open and free!"

Lady Gaga's Copacabana Beach concert coincides with the release of her seventh studio album, "Mayhem," which drops on March 7. The album features tracks like "Disease" and "Die With a Smile" featuring Bruno Mars.

Before her performance in Rio, Gaga will headline Coachella on April 11 and 18. Additionally, she will receive the 2025 iHeartRadio Innovator Award at the 12th annual iHeartRadio Music Awards on March 17.

With an expected crowd reminiscent of the 1.6 million attendees at Madonna's performance last May and Gaga's promise of "MAYHEM on the beach," this concert is shaping up to be an unforgettable spectacle.
