Following six years of marriage and two children together, Mamie Gummer, the daughter of Hollywood icon Meryl Streep, has filed for divorce from producer and writer Mehar Sethi.

AceShowbiz - Mamie Gummer, daughter of actress Meryl Streep, is divorcing her husband, writer and producer Mehar Sethi. The court documents, obtained by TMZ, reveal that the couple's separation date is listed as May 6, 2023.

Gummer, who is 41, is seeking joint legal and physical custody of their two children, five-year-old son Peter and three-year-old daughter Mary. Additionally, she is requesting spousal support while also asking the court to terminate any support awarded to Sethi. The split comes under "irreconcilable differences," a standard reason often ticked in legal filings.

The couple got engaged in August 2018 and married in February 2019, the same month they welcomed their first child. Two years later, they welcomed their daughter.

This marks Gummer's second divorce, after her marriage to actor Benjamin Walker from 2011 to 2013.

Mamie Gummer is Meryl Streep's daughter with her ex-husband Don Gummer whom she split from in October 2023 after 45 years of marriage. Rumors suggested they had been living apart for over six years.

The celebrated actress, who shares three other children, Henry, Grace, and Louisa with Don, has reportedly moved on with her "Only Murders in the Building" co-star Martin Short. Initially denied by their representatives, sources have confirmed that a romance has blossomed between Streep and Short, surprising but delighting their fans.

Interestingly, these family changes seem to come in waves. In March 2020, Mamie's sister Grace Gummer also filed for divorce from her first husband Tay Strathairn. She later moved on with Mark Ronson and the two tied the knot in 2021. The couple is currently expecting their first child together.
