Despite recently finalizing their divorce, Jennifer Lopez has been actively checking on her ex, Ben Affleck, as Los Angeles faces one of its largest wildfire crises in recent history.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez is "worried and concerned" for her ex-husband Ben Affleck after he fled his $20.5 million Pacific Palisades home due to the ongoing Los Angeles wildfires. A source revealed to Page Six that the "Hustlers" actress has reached out to Affleck since "she heard he was evacuated."

Lopez, 55, has been "checking in on Ben throughout this whole ordeal" and has ensured that he knows she's there for him and his children - Violet, 18, Seraphina, 15, and Samuel, 12, whom he shares with ex-wife Jennifer Garner. "She offered her support for whatever they need," the insider added, before noting she has extended assistance in any way she can.

After rekindling their romance in 2021, Affleck and Lopez got engaged for the second time a year later, only for the singer to file for divorce in August 2024. Despite finalizing their divorce recently, Lopez reached out as soon as she heard about the evacuation to see how Affleck was coping with the situation.

The "Justice League" star was evacuated Tuesday, January 7 from his home as the fires, described as the most destructive in California history, rapidly spread. On Tuesday night, Affleck was seen fleeing to Garner's house.

By Wednesday, he returned to assess his property, which, thankfully, remained intact. However, the threat from the fires is ongoing with blustery winds posing a continuous danger.

Apart from checking on Affleck, Lopez's concern extends to his children. Because 130,000 people are under evacuation orders that span from the Pacific Coast to inland Pasadena, many have tragically lost their homes. Stars such as Paris Hilton, Adam Brody, and Mel Gibson are just a few who have had their homes destroyed by the flames.

While ensuring the safety of her loved ones including briefly taking in her ex-husband, Jennifer Garner are joining Los Angeles relief efforts by volunteering to provide meals for firefighters and first responders.

"Ben knows many people who unfortunately lost their homes. He has seen a lot of devastation, and it's beyond tragic. … Ben is reaching out to anybody he can to help," another source stated. The wildfire has claimed at least 10 lives and displaced 300,000 Californians, making it a devastating crisis for many.

Affleck, who bought his current residence just five months ago, finds himself and his loved ones relieved that their property has survived, though it's far from assured future blasts of wildfires won't pose a threat. As Lopez continues to offer her support, the solidarity and concern expressed shed light on how personal connections can be a source of strength amid a natural disaster.
