Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck's divorce might be finalized, but one sparkling token of their romance stays with Lopez as she is holding onto the 8.5-carat green diamond engagement ring after their divorce concluded.

AceShowbiz - Jennifer Lopez is retaining her striking 8.5-carat natural green diamond engagement ring following her split from Ben Affleck. According to court documents obtained by Page Six, Lopez will keep the impressive piece, estimated to be worth $5 million, even after their divorce was finalized on Monday, January 7.
The stunning green diamond, which is flanked by two trapezoid-shaped white diamonds, was a unique and personal choice by Affleck as green is Lopez's favorite color. Additionally, the ring is engraved with an ironic message, "not. going. anywhere.," which harks back to a phrase Affleck used to sign their emails during the early days of their rekindled romance.
Jewelry expert Mike Fried, CEO of The Diamond Pro, valued the ring at over $5 million, and it could potentially be worth more than $10 million due to its rarity and size.
The couple, who had been separated for nearly five months, ended their two-year marriage officially this week. One day before settling the divorce, J.Lo was seen dropping by her estranged husband's house in Los Angeles.
This isn't the first time Lopez and Affleck have been engaged. The pair was first engaged from 2002 to 2004, with Affleck gifting Lopez a 6.10-carat radiant-cut pink Harry Winston diamond.
Years after calling off that engagement, the duo reconnected in 2021 and eventually tied the knot the following year. However, their marriage couldn't withstand the test of time, and Lopez filed for divorce in August.
Despite their split, both Lopez and Affleck plan to remain a part of each other's lives, especially when it involves their children. "They have every intention of continuing to be in each other's lives despite not being romantically involved," a source told Page Six.
Another insider told OK Magazine that Lopez never intended to return the engagement ring given it was a gift. "Jennifer has zero guilt about keeping it, and clearly Ben doesn't mind - he's done this twice already! It's not like he didn't know what he was getting into!"
The amicable nature of their split and the fact that they still communicate may pave the way for a continuing friendship, ensuring both their children and personal relations remain intact.
