AceShowbiz - Presenter Miles Teller took a jab at Kevin Kline's absence from the 2025 Golden Globes ceremony despite his nomination for "Disclaimer."
When taking the stage alongside Anya Taylor-Joy to announce winner for for Best Performance by an Actor in a Limited Series or Motion Picture Made for Television at the 82nd Golden Globes, Teller seized the opportunity to comment on Kline's conspicuous absence from the ceremony.
While introducing nominees, Teller described Colin Farrell as "a man scorned on The Penguin" and quipped about Kline being "such an enigmatic figure in Disclaimer he didn't show up."
The other nominees were Richard Gadd, Cooper Koch, Ewan McGregor, and Andrew Scott, and the award eventually went to Colin Farrell.
Kline was nominated for his role in Alfonso Cuaron's "Disclaimer." In the Apple TV+ thriller, Kline portrays English widower and retired teacher Stephen Brigstocke. The psychological drama follows a documentary journalist (Cate Blanchett) who uncovers secrets within respected institutions.
Kline's "Disclaimer" co-star Cate Blanchett also failed to collect an award in the Best Actress category as Jodie Foster emerged victorious for her role in "True Detective: Night Country."
The ceremony was hosted by Nikki Glaser, with "Emilia Perez" dominating the movie winners and "Shogun" leading the TV categories.
