AceShowbiz - SZA has received a co-sign from film director Martin Scorsese, and she is thrilled. Scorsese's daughter, Francesca, showed her approval on Instagram by posting a photo of her father alongside SZA's new track, "Scorsese Baby Daddy," captioning it "SZA, Queen s***."
SZA quickly expressed her shock and joy on her own social media, "The fact that this isn't AI, and it is actually Martin Scorsese ðŸ˜."
Overjoyed, SZA reposted the moment, expressing her disbelief at receiving the recognition from such an influential figure in cinema. The track pays homage to Scorsese's exceptional storytelling abilities, with lyrics that depict the singer's attraction to emotional turmoil, "I rolled up all my problems / And then I smoked about it / I could've called my mom up / I'd rather f*** about it / Addicted to the drama / Scorsese baby daddy."
However, Scorsese is not the only fimmmaker SZA. She also loves Quentin Tarantino as her sophomore album, "SOS", was heavily influenced by Tarantino's iconic movie "Kill Bill".'
In addition to her musical success, SZA is also making her mark in the acting world with her debut in the upcoming film "One of Them Days." Co-starring with Keke Palmer, the movie follows two best friends struggling to secure rent money before facing eviction. The film hits theaters nationwide on January 24.
The song "30 for 30" from "SOS: Lana", featuring Kendrick Lamar, has also reignited the infamous rivalry between Lamar and Drake, who coincidentally dated SZA in the past.
