After the event, they returned home, where an unidentified woman called the Burbank Police to report an altercation. According to a witness, Kennedy and the woman were arguing, and Kennedy allegedly grabbed her. No visible injuries were reported.

The police determined that it was a domestic violence situation and arrested Kennedy for misdemeanor domestic violence. He was released after posting $20,000 bail.

Lewber, who had previously expressed her pride in Kennedy's career and their plans to host family over the holidays, has not publicly commented on the arrest, but remains supportive of him. Speaking to Daily Mail one day after his arrest, Ally gushed about how "proud" she was of boyfriend James.
