In a new episode of 'The Drew Barrymore Show', the host of the talk show reveals to guest Cynthia Erivo that 'people have to warn' her for being 'so touchy.'

AceShowbiz - Drew Barrymore has admitted that she is "so touchy" with people, including her guests on "The Drew Barrymore Show". Recently, the host of the talk show discussed her touchy interview style with actress Cynthia Erivo.

In the Tuesday, December 10 episode of the TV program, the 49-year-old host asked a question about the 37-year-old actress' touchy-feely interactions with her "Wicked" co-star Ariana Grande. Making a reference to the 31-year-old singer, she asked, "Is it true that she is as touchy?"

Drew went on to admit, "I'm so touchy! People have to warn me. They're like, 'Back off a little bit.' I'm like, 'Why?' " Cynthia then revealed that she is "used to" Ariana's constant physical touch. She explained, "If it's not, like, connected, I'm like, 'What's wrong? What's happening? Where are you?' We walk hand in hand very often. Like, if we're not walking hand in hand, we'll find each other somewhere."

Cynthia further argued, "I think we assume that physical connection can only be romantic," prompting Drew to agree. Cynthia elaborated, "Sometimes you can't say anything and you're in a room and you're like, it's just a squeeze of a hand. And that sometimes is how she and I communicate. We might be talking to someone, or I might need to communicate something to her and it's just a squeeze of a hand or a pinch of the finger. Or a hug."

Cynthia additionally defended Ariana for being touchy, saying, "However we need to communicate is how we need to communicate. And I think we don't give enough credit to how we need to communicate with our friends physically."

Drew has made headlines for showing too much affection towards her guests, including Oprah Winfrey. In a December 2023 episode of "The Drew Barrymore Show", Drew was documented tightly holding one of Oprah's hands, placing it right under her chin and caressing it during their chat. While Oprah said that Drew's gesture was "good," the host was bombarded with backlash for allegedly making her guest feel uncomfortable.
