The announcement of Kendrick Lamar's 'Grand National' tour has prompted comparisons to his nemesis Drake, leading to debates about their respective stadium prowess.

AceShowbiz - Kendrick Lamar's successful 2022 continues into 2025 with his co-headlining "Grand National" tour with SZA. The tour will kick off in Minneapolis in April and include 18 stadiums across North America, including two nights in Toronto.

This announcement has drawn attention to Drake's absence from stadium tours. DJ Akademiks claims that Drake prefers to stick to arenas due to financial reasons, despite being capable of performing in stadiums. He suggests that Drake prioritizes profit over appearances.

Akademiks' opinion is echoed by Joe Budden, who recently acknowledged that Drake has not yet performed a stadium tour.

However, Drake has received support from others. During a recent livestream, Chet Hanks, son of Tom Hanks, praised Drake's ability to explain complex issues succinctly.

Drake has also addressed the controversy in recent music. On Sexyy Red's "U My Everything", he alludes to the "smoke in the city" and suggests that his absence was due to an unresolved conflict. Drake also references the viral "BBL Drizzy" beat, flipping the narrative to portray himself as the one providing BBL appointments.

In June, Drake deleted all diss tracks from his Instagram account. While the tracks remain available on other platforms, their removal on Instagram indicates a possible willingness to move on or prepare for a new phase.

Meanwhile, at his "Pop Out" show in Inglewood, Kendrick Lamar performed his diss track "Not Like Us" five times, seemingly addressing the Drake controversy. He also shared the stage with other L.A. artists, including those perceived to have ties to Drake.
