At the 25th annual award-giving show, the 'Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido' hitmaker is announced as the first woman to win the Best Urban Music Album category twice.

AceShowbiz - Karol G has a reason to celebrate with her loved ones tonight. The 2024 Latin Grammys, which celebrated this year's biggest hits and greatest artists, has announced its winners, including the "Si Antes Te Hubiera Conocido" hitmaker who made history with her latest album.
The 25th annual celebration took place at the Kaseya Center in Miami on Thursday night, November 14. Karol G, whose real name is Carolina Giraldo Navarro, broke the record with "Manana Sera Bonito (Bichota Season)". The 33-year-old Colombian singer/songwriter, who received eight nominations, became the first woman to win the Best Urban Music Album category twice.
Aside from her, fellow artist Bad Bunny, who also had a total of eight nods, took home one prize at the star-studded award-giving event. The Puerto Rican rapper, singer and record producer was announced as the winner of Best Reggaeton Performance, thanks to his performance of "Perro Negro" that he created with Feid.
While Karol G and Bad Bunny won one award each, music group Juan Luis Guerra 4.40 took home four prizes, making them the biggest winner at the night's event. The awards that they won included Record of the Year for their single titled "Mambo 23", which was released in 2023.
The group was also announced as the winner of the Best Merengue/Bachata Album award, thanks to their second extended play titled "Radio Guira" that they launched that same year. In addition, they also won Album of the Year for the same set and Best Tropical Song for "Mambo 23".
During the ceremony, Dominican musician/singer Juan Luis Guerra, one of the members of the music group, gave a speech in front of the attendees. He said, "After 40 years of career, I feel joyful to be with you. The idea of 'Radio Guira' was completely Jesus'. He gave us wisdom, He gave us understanding, so all the glory and honor to Him."
