The two-time Oscar-nominated actor, known for his iconic portrayal of Hawkeye in Marvel Cinematic Universe, will preside over the festivities, supporting Toys for Tots.

AceShowbiz - Acclaimed actor Jeremy Renner, known for his iconic portrayal of Hawkeye in Marvel's "The Avengers" franchise and his starring role in the Paramount+ series "Mayor of Kingstown", has been named the grand marshal of the 92nd Hollywood Christmas Parade. The parade marks the official start of the holiday season in Los Angeles, dating back to 1928.
Renner, who was seriously injured in a snowplow accident in January 2023, will preside over the festivities beginning at 6 p.m. on Sunday, December 1, 2024. He expressed his honor to serve as grand marshal, especially in partnership with Toys for Tots:
"Their mission aligns closely with the work we do at the RennerVation Foundation, creating meaningful experiences for at-risk youth. This season of giving is about spreading hope, and I'm thrilled to share this moment with my family and friends from the foundation."
Renner's previous acting accolades include Oscar nominations for Best Actor in "The Hurt Locker" and Best Supporting Actor in "The Town". He has also starred in multiple Marvel movies, including "Avengers: Endgame" and "Captain America: Civil War".
The Hollywood Christmas Parade features an array of floats, marching bands, performances, and culminates with a visit from Santa Claus. The event will be hosted by Dean Cain, Elizabeth Stanton, Laura McKenzie and Montel Williams. The CW will air the parade on December 14.
Renner joins a prestigious list of previous grand marshals, including Gene Autry, Charlton Heston, Bob Hope, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Pickford, James Stewart, Walter Matthau, John Wayne, Olivia Newton-John, Susan Lucci and Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson.
