AceShowbiz -  Christina Milian, 43, openly shares her reasons for relocating her family from Hollywood to her husband's native country, France. Milian, who has been married to singer Matt Pokora, 39, since 2020, explains that they made the decision last year as their two sons, Isaiah, 4, and Kenna, 3, began attending school.

"My husband is French and we've been together for over seven or eight years," Milian said. "For the last three or four years, we were commuting back and forth every six months. And then we decided to commit to it last year because our kids were going to go to school. "

Milian also shares a 14-year-old daughter, Violet, with her ex-partner, The Dream.

While in France, Milian has been actively learning the language to fit in better. "I love it out there!…So our children, they're three, four, and of course, Violet is 14, they're all going to school in Paris," she said. "What better than an opportunity than that."

Milian shared her serendipitous encounter with Pokora during her visit to France in 2017. "I was in France dancing away at a restaurant," she recalled. "And the host came over and just put us together and I was like, 'Oh hold on, oh my gosh,' his crystal blue eyes."

Milian emphasizes the importance of being open to finding love outside her usual preferences and credits her prayers for bringing them together. "I used to have a type and I was like, 'No, I'm good. I'm happy being single.' I made some sacrifices and I prayed, 'Lord, I'm gonna just give all my time to my daughter, you be the man in our life.' "
