AceShowbiz - Valerie Bertinelli, 64, has shared a photo of a large gash on her right arm that she sustained while working on a secret project.
"I would ask for hazard pay, but it was my own damn fault," Bertinelli captioned the Instagram post. "I've been working on a really fun new project that I can't wait to tell you about, and this is what happens when you literally trip over the corner of a stage and fall on your ass in front of the crew. And the whole audience."
Despite the injury, Bertinelli is excited about her new endeavor and is also open about her personal journey. She recently joined "The Drew Barrymore Show" as a lifestyle expert and has been candid about her struggles with shame and past relationships.
"I've been married twice, and that shame thing just slapped me in the face," Bertinelli said on "The Drew Barrymore Show." "I think the key to feeling beautiful and worthy is to release a lot of that shame."
Bertinelli has also embraced a healthier lifestyle, sharing that she has become sober and is now striving to accept herself and her flaws.
"I've always been really good at beating myself up about my past," she wrote on Instagram. "I became a master at judging myself. Judge, jury, and executioner. I don't want to do that anymore. I want to lead a full authentic life, with my heart open to experiencing everything."
Bertinelli's honesty and vulnerability have resonated with her followers, many of whom have shared their own experiences with coping mechanisms and unhealthy habits. Bertinelli encourages them to seek support and to embrace authenticity and self-acceptance.
