AceShowbiz - Angelina Jolie has revealed that none of her six children with Brad Pitt plan to follow in their parents' acting footsteps. "No, I think they're especially shy, very private people," the actress, 49, said in an interview with E! News at the AFI premiere of her new film, "Maria." "And they want to be private."
Jolie shares six children with Pitt: Maddox, 23, Pax, 20, Zahara, 19, Shiloh, 18, and 16-year-old twins Knox and Vivienne. While some of the kids have dabbled in acting or other creative fields, none have expressed a desire to become full-time actors.
Despite their reserved nature, the young adults and teens have made names for themselves outside the shadows of their parents. Vivienne has co-produced a Broadway play while Knox voiced a character in "Kung Fu Panda 3" and Shiloh enjoys dancing. Zahara has used her platform for humanitarian work, including designing jewelry to benefit battered women. Maddox has assisted his mother in film projects and served as an executive producer on "First They Killed My Father."
According to a family source, Jolie's children are close to her and support her endeavors. They are also proud of their mother for advocating for important causes. Meanwhile, some of the children have dropped Pitt's last name and have a strained relationship with the 60-year-old actor following the couple's split.
Jolie, who is currently focusing on her family, work, and future, is proud of the accomplishments of her children and encourages them to pursue their own passions.
