AceShowbiz - Jay-Z and his entertainment company Roc Nation will continue to lead the curation of the Super Bowl Halftime Show and support the NFL's social justice program Inspire Change. On Tuesday, October 15, during the NFL's owner's meeting in Atlanta, commissioner Roger Goodell announced the extension of the partnership with Roc Nation.
Goodell praised Jay-Z and Roc Nation's CEO, Desiree Perez, for their contributions, stating that "it's been a mutually positive relationship."
The previous deal between Roc Nation and the NFL was valued at $25 million over five years, which included the selection of artists for the Super Bowl Halftime Show and support for the Inspire Change program, which has distributed $375 million in grants.
Despite controversies, including the decision to choose Kendrick Lamar as the headliner for the 2025 Super Bowl Halftime Show instead of Lil Wayne, the partnership between Jay-Z, Roc Nation and the NFL has resulted in a string of successful Super Bowl Halftime Shows featuring prominent hip-hop artists such as Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, The Weeknd and Dr. Dre. With the NFL and Roc Nation's continued collaboration, fans can anticipate more exciting and innovative performances in the years to come.
