AceShowbiz - Pharrell Williams has left social media users baffled with his choice of clothes. After showing off his fashion style at an event, the "Happy" hitmaker surprisingly received unpleasant comments from online critics.

Recently, the 51-year-old singer/songwriter made an appearance at an event promoting "Piece by Piece", an animated biographical film that follows his life and career. For the fun event, he opted to wear a colorful outfit.

Pharrell sported a long-sleeved light pink sweatshirt that came with a high neck design. He tucked the clothing piece in a pair of long blue denim wide-leg pants. To match the top, he wore a pair of hot pink shoes.

The "Double Life" singer, who has served as Men's creative director for Louis Vuitton since 2023, completed the look with a dark-colored belt, green hat and red smart watch. He also put on a pair of black-framed shades to cover his eyes.

On Tuesday, October 8, one photo from the event was uploaded by a blog via Instagram. In the picture, it could be seen that Pharrell was striking a pose in front of a white wall that featured his quote that read, "CURIOSITY IS THE LIFE FORCE IN ALL OF US."

Pharrell was photographed leaning his lower back on the wall and crossing his feet. He confidently carried a classic brown Louis Vuitton handbag. He was looking at the camera while apparently biting his lower lip.

It did not take long for the post to be flooded with online responses from Instagram users, including those who likened Pharrell to actress Jada Pinkett Smith. In the comments section, one in particular wrote, "I thought this was @jadapinkettsmith," adding a smiling face with tears of joy emoji. Similarly, another chimed in, "Man I thought this was Jada Pinkett."

Meanwhile, a third argued, "It's giving 80% of males are either Gay, Bi, DL or Trans attracted!!!" A fourth asked, "What is he serving??? With a purse in his hand!!!! I'm lost , what is our society coming to ????" A fifth, in the meantime, blamed it on Sean "P. Diddy" Combs, "The Diddy affect."
