AceShowbiz - Britney Spears has raised people's eyebrows after sharing her story of burning her facial fair in a recent fire accident. The so-called Princess of Pop confused social media users after speaking with British accent when recalling the incident, which occurred six months ago.
On Monday, September 30, the 42-year-old opened up about the never-before-heard story via her social media page. In a video which was filmed while she was seemingly in bed, the singer said, "I was in my room and I turned the fire on and, all of a sudden, it blew up in my face."
Britney said the fireplace had a history of malfunctioning so she usually had her security light it for her. However, on the night of the accident, she decided to handle it herself. "The times it's done it before, I quit so I always get my security to come in and light it for me because I was scared it was going to blow up," she continued.
The Grammy winner said she "threw the whole thing" into the fireplace which blew into her face, taking off all of her eyelashes and eyebrows. "And see this baby hair? These baby bangs? This is from six months ago. It fizzled all my hair," she added.
The "Womanizer" songstress said she wanted to go to the hospital, but her companion would not wake up. Her face was in pain for six to seven hours. "It hurt to touch my phone. It hurt to put ice on my face. It hurt [to have] anything touch it. This happened for, like, six or seven hours... The pain never went away. It was so, so, so bad," she explained.
"Finally, I took three Tylenol," Britney shared, comparing it to Vicoding. "Which is like a really, really big deal for me. It's like a f**king Vicodin or something. But I took three and finally I went to sleep."
While some people were relieved that Britney was okay after the scary accident, others expressed concern over her different accent. "why does she randomly have an english accent dbbwkekqk," a confused user wrote on X, formerly known as Twitter.
"Did the fire turn her british as well???" a second person enthused. Similarly, a third troll said, "Fire burnt change her accent." A fourth person remarked, "someone needs to check on her," while one other asked, "Why does she sound like this?"
